I hope they haven't started because it'd be awkward walking in. I hurriedly walked towards the room the meeting was held in, I was in front of the door about to walk in but stopped when I heard laughter

"Why bother to ask Eduardo? Leonardo is not capable of ever having a woman beside him because he's bipolar" I heard a man's voice say, Leonardo is bipolar? That explains everything

"That's probably why his ex-girlfriend left him, he's insane" a voice said but it was a woman's this time, why were they speaking so ill of Leonardo? Was he not in the room?

"he came with an African girl today, I doubt she's even with him because she loves him. It's probably because he's rich, he's not the type to be loved, I mean I would never" another female voice said, Leonardo was not even that bad of a person

"No! She works for him at Reigns Inc and besides I doubt she'd ever give him a chance" I heard Eduardo say and I heard laughter from the rest of them. I'd give Leonardo a chance than any of those sick bastards in there.

"Where were you ? I've been searching for you " I jumped when I heard Leonardo's voice, I turned and looked at him with a nervous smile

"What's wrong? And don't say it's nothing because I see it's something" he said arching his eyebrow at me, should I tell him? He deserves to know but he'll probably get angry. I went against my gut feeling and told him what I heard, his eye twitched and vains started showing in his forehead, he was angry.

"We can't ruin this meeting Leonardo, I hate to admit it but we need him" I said pleading at him

"Fuck the meeting!" he said raising his voice a little, he definitely was fuming

"Calm down Leonardo please, you acting up will only prove them right, disappoint them for once" I said with my hands on either side of his face, his breathing went back to normal. I took his hand and we walked in the room taking our seats.

"I thought we'd have to start without you" Eduardo said chuckling

"We took longer than we intended , we're sorry" I said with a smile while turning to wink at Leonardo as they all turned to look at each other puzzled

The meeting went on for propably an hour and the whole time I kept my hand in twined with Leonardo's, I squeezed it whenever he was showing signs of snapping while flashing him one of my smiles. The meeting was now over so me and Leonardo stood up to leave

"Leaving so soon? The food is yet to be served." Eduardo said while looking at us

"Why th-" I quickly cut Leonardo, "We would love to but we have other plans " I said with my arm around Leonardo's pulling him back without making it evident

"O-Oh okay, till next time then" he said as we walked out the room not acknowledging him. We walked out into the car which was waiting for us

"I hate being cut off you know" he said as the car drove off

"I know but I had to or you probably would've killed him" I said joking while looking out the window

"Oh I definitely would've killed him" I turned to look at him, his tone sounded deadly

"Do you have anger issues like they said?" I said waiting for his answer but he only looked at me and turned to look away, ignoring my question. The ride was filled with awkward silence, I wish I never asked. The car came to a stop but we were in front of his parents house, he could've at least dropped me off first. He opened the door to get out

"I'll just wait here" I said in a soft voice, not trying to upset him again

"Mia requested that you come in" he said before entering the house, leaving me behind. Such a gentleman *note the sarcasm. I followed him and walked through the door, I expected to be greeted by Mia but there was no one

"but Daddy we can't just sit around and do nothing" I heard Mia's voice, they were in the living room so I walked into the room. They all had their backs facing me except for Mr Reigns who was facing me but with his head down so he didn't see me come in. I opened my mouth to greet but stopped when I heard Ms Nicki speak

"Babe we lost drugs worth billions of dollars, what do you expect us to do? Sit around and wait for them to attack again? I refuse to, it's either we take them out or they take us out but one thing I know is there isn't room for two Mafia families" my eyes widen at what Ms Nicki just said, I almost chocked on my own spit , oh God ! I work for... Murderers, my eyes started getting glossy.

"All I'm saying is let's take time and plan our next move before we att-" Mr Reigns stopped when he raised his head and locked eyes with me, his eyes widened. Everyone followed his gaze and landed on me , Mia gasped.

"How much did you hear?" Luciano questioned while looking at me

"Enough to know better" I said before turning around and running towards the door, I bumped into Leonardo in the passage but I ignored him. I snatched the door open and speed walked to the car,

"Hey, Mr Reigns said you can take me home" I said getting in the same time the driver did.

"Give me your addr-"

"I'll give it to you on the way, now drive" I said cutting him off. He drove out of the drive way and joined the main road, I looked back and saw Leonardo and his family in the driveway looking at the car fade away from them, I told the driver to drop me off at the mall since I didn't want them knowing where I lived and called De'arra to come get me. I have to look for a new job because I can not continue to work for the Reigns, I just got here and I'm already knee deep in shit.
