Alexandre walked quickly down the long hallway to a set of stairs I had never noticed before. He practically flew up them, taking three steps at a time. They curved around while going up, so we reached the second floor within a few seconds.

"My little wolf, are you in pain right now?"

"Some, but it's tolerable." I responded, nuzzling his throat. "Why?"

"The toxins are still in you, Anwyll. Had it been a normal vampire, they would have been removed from your body by now."

"Mm, it was Rose, wasn't it?"

Alexandre paused. "How could you know that?"

"I saw his eyes flash silver for a moment. I wasn't sure what I saw at first, but I am almost positive it was Rose."

He sighed. "Indeed, it was Ambrose."

"Is he all right?"

Alexandre chuckled. "You were attacked by him, and now you are worried for his sake? You are too kind, my little wolf."

I shook my head. "That wasn't Rose. Not the one who attacked me. That was his primal side, wasn't it? Rose wasn't in control, but he was afterwards. I just know he's scared. I don't think he even knows that I'm alive."

Alexandre was quiet as he carried on down the hall. The taps of his shoes made for an interesting sound in the silence. It seemed to reverberate on the walls. He took a left turn, and walked quickly down the narrower hallway. At the end of it, there was a room with dark wooden double doors; dark cherry, if I was going to be specific.

Alexandre didn't even knock, just walked up and opened the door. The room was dark, but I could see that it was trashed. My fingers twitched against Alexandre's shoulders. He hugged me tighter, probably thinking I was scared.

"I want to clean it." I said softly, which made Alexandre start laughing. "Where's Rose?"

"He's here, little wolf. Look upon the bed. He has forced himself into stasis."

"Why?" I asked, clutching onto Alexandre. "Is it 'cause he hurt me unintentionally, but his primal side did it on purpose? Because he couldn't control himself?"

"Yes, Anwyll." Alexandre sighed, cupping the back of my head.

I pressed my lips to his in a moment of boldness, which made a rumble of pleasure vibrate the airwaves. Alexandre petted my hair and ears, smoothing everything down. He kissed me again and placed my feet on the floor.

"Do what's necessary, my little wolf. I will be here in case things go awry."

I thanked him by hugging his hips, rubbing my cheek on his abs through his pressed white shirt. Alexandre chuckled again and bent over to kiss my head.

I scurried around the room, carefully picking up clothes for the laundry, throwing out trash, putting odd doodads back into place on shelves, hung up the clean clothes in the closet, and reorganized things. Once the room was basically back in order, aside from the deep scratches on the floor and other wooden objects, I approached the bed from the far side, since Ambrose was facing away from the door. I wanted to make sure I didn't set off his instincts by approaching him from the back, so I was coming to him from the front. It showed my vulnerability, too.

Ambrose did not move when the bed dipped. I didn't bother to check his pulse, since in stasis the heart doesn't beat. Everything was just frozen in time.

"Alexandre," I began softly, "What kind of vampire is Rose?"

He hummed from his position against the door. "An old one. That would be the best description. He's old, but he's been damaged by many years of consistent betrayals. I am an old friend of Ambrose, so I brought him here in hopes that he would recover. Unfortunately, his distrust has only grown stronger and so has his need to feed. He doesn't like leaving this place, and he cannot feed from neither Matteo nor I. He never wanted to get close to the other boys later on, when I made this place how it is now, so he's been feeding on himself to keep his vampire side at bay."

"I guess he couldn't take it anymore, then. Why didn't he drain me dry if he was starving?" I asked, stroking my fingers through Ambrose's thick black locks. He did not stir, but I wasn't expecting him to, though.

"He realized what he was doing and who he was doing it to near the end. He forced himself to pull away, but he was still starving. He came to me for several blood packs, panicked and near to tears, then disappeared. I was extremely concerned, but assumed that he left the mansion to feed off a pitiful animal within the property's boundaries. It was only until Damon came by earlier did I realize what happened."

I bent over Ambrose with a soft sigh, curling around him. It felt necessary. He was a bit chilly, because his blood was frozen in his veins. I moved my tail to curl over his side, while I cupped his cheek and pressed his head against my chest.

Alexandre shifted slightly, his tension growing again when I began peeling my bandages off. I winced when the scab pulled off. Wet heat trickled down my throat. I nestled Ambrose's head into the crook of my neck. I wiped up some blood with my pointer finger and thumb, then rubbed the inside of Ambrose's bottom lip.

Finally, I received a reaction. His jaw relaxed a bit, so I slid my pointer finger into his mouth. I slipped my blood-smeared fingertip over his tongue, then pulled it out and waited. Ambrose twitched, his fingers getting movement back into them. I rubbed his scalp, gently massaging his head and stroking my fingers through his black hair.

Ambrose's nose twitched, then he moved his head slightly. I repeated my actions, so he swallowed and his eyelids slowly opened to reveal bright red irises. I smiled gently and kissed his forehead.

"It's okay to feed on me. Just don't kill me, all right? I want to love you—both of you. And despite the severe distrust that both you and Rose hold from years of betrayals, I want you to know that I'm different. I won't betray you. I won't leave you. I won't let you waste away in stasis. You may have hurt me, but it wasn't on purpose. You weren't out to destroy me. You were hungry, and I accept that as the truth. And I can guess that you're still hungry, even now, and that's okay. I will take care of you."

Bright red flashed to silver, so I knew Ambrose had heard me. The primal side didn't attack me hungrily, as I believed he would, but merely nosed my throat and slowly licked the wounds he left. It felt weird, but I liked it. My body heated and I moaned softly, tilting my head for more access. The primal side made a noise of appreciation, then I felt his fangs pierce me again. It didn't hurt nearly as much as it had the first time. In fact, I felt my cock plump from the first gentle suck.

Alexandre looked relieved from the side, but he also had a heated expression on his face. I blushed, tightening my grip in Ambrose's hair. His primal side paused, but I pulled him closer. My body began to tremble when Ambrose reached up and cupped my crotch. I gasped with a soft mewl, my hips rolling to get some friction.

Ambrose pulled down my shorts without looking and stuffed his hand into my panties. I moaned aloud, my hips trembling when he stroked my cock. Off to the side, I could hear Alexandre's breath hitch when my cry of pleasure turned into a keening moan that was sweet to even my own ears. Ambrose shuddered, but kept feeding and stroking my cock at the same time.

I squeezed my legs together to stave my orgasm, since I was so close with the two deliciously intense sensations coming from my neck and cock. I think Ambrose could tell, because he rubbed me a bit more firmly and slid his fingers below my sac. When he touched that place, I came with a shuddering moan, my fingers gripping Ambrose's hair and shirt. I panted breathlessly, flopping my head back onto the pillow.

Ambrose slipped his hand out of my shorts and slid his fangs out of my neck, then firmly licked the wounds until there was very little pain left. I watched him lick my release off his fingers, then move over me. He rested on his hands and knees, his eyes still bright red.

"You truly want to love us, little wolf?" came a guttural voice from Ambrose's mouth. "Even me?"

I smiled and reached up to him with noodle-like arms. "Hehe, yep. Two sides of Rose means there's more for me to love. Do you have a name?"

The primal side blinked at me. "No," he responded in a low voice.

"May I give you one?"

He tilted his head to the side. "Should I have one?"

"You are technically a separate mind in Rose's body, so yes, you should have a name."

His crimson irises brightened, and a smile tugged at his lips. It was crooked, and kind of strange, but it was definitely a smile.

"What will you name me, little wolf?"

"Daviel," I beamed, pressing my small hands on his cheeks. "Because you will be one of my beloveds."

The primal side closed his eyes for a moment, moving his mouth over the word. "Daviel," he finally uttered. "I am not displeased with this name."

I grinned, sitting up to kiss him. Daviel was shocked, but he awkwardly wrapped one arm around me and returned the kiss. I licked his fangs, gently sucking on them like I did with Blaine. Daviel growled deeply, his chest vibrating from the timbre. I mewled softly, breaking the kiss for a moment to press gentle smooches along his jaw.

"Little wolf, I saw your memories. I bathed in them. I know of your past heartbreak, despair, and desire for death. And I know that you want to love us all, help us heal from our wounds, and treat us with the respect and care we never truly received." murmured Daviel, so I flicked an ear against his cheek while he held me to show that I was listening.

"I will accept you, Anwyll, my little wolf. I accept your love. As for Ambrose, it may take a bit more for him to trust in what you say, despite all that we saw and heard in your mind. I care for him, as my host, so please give him time."

I leaned back and pecked his lips. "Of course, Daviel. I will wait as long as he needs me to."

Daviel awkwardly smiled again, because it seemed as though he was unused to such an action. "Perhaps, it is time to go. I will find you when I must feed, and we will talk more then."

I grinned. "Okay, Daviel. See you then."

He pressed a kiss to my temple, then I felt the air change. Ambrose stiffened, then shoved me back. I didn't feel hurt, but I was a bit sad. To counteract it, I stole a kiss before I hopped off the bed.

Ambrose sat back, stunned, but I could feel his eyes on my backside while I walked back to Alexandre. He took my hand and as we left, I smiled back at Ambrose with a wave.

"Bye-bye, Rose! See you later!"

His distressed silver eyes held my gaze until the door shut. Alexandre hauled me up into his arms, so I wrapped my arms around his neck with no pain. I oohed about it, which made Alexandre laugh while he slowly walked back the way we came.

"That went better than I expected. I am quite surprised you offered your throat to the primal side."

"Mm, well, it was needed. If I am to help and heal those in need of me, it has to start with a big part; acceptance has to happen from every part of oneself."

Alexandre hummed, petting my head. "The toxins have been erased. Your healing has kicked in and those wounds will be left as scars. Is that all right with you, Anwyll?"

"Mhm, I think it's good. It's a reminder of progress. Even if it makes many step backwards, it shows that things can change."

"All right, my little wolf." murmured Alexandre, but his voice had notes of happiness in the layers.

"Alexandre, why are you so affectionate with me and not the others?"

He paused, absentmindedly stroking my ears. I shivered a bit. Alexandre cracked his neck, then shifted his arms' positions while they held me to his chest.

In a moment, we were outside and in the sky. I was shocked. I squeezed his neck and Alexandre chuckled. His powerful wings flapped down, to shoot us higher into the sky. I buried my face in his neck, happy that Alexandre was keeping his arms around my chest and thighs. His left forearm kept my tail trapped against my body.

He rose higher, then when we were a good eight hundred feet up, he hung in midair. I gasped, still hugging his neck.

"P-please g-give me some w-warning next time!" I exclaimed, which made Alexandre laugh. "Why did you take me up here?"

"So that no one can listen in." responded Alexandre.

He carefully put me down, which made me squirm in worry until my feet seemed to hit a hard surface. When I looked down, I almost tossed up my breakfast. Alexandre steadied me against his body, so I held his hands and tilted my head back to look at him.

He stared down with deep honey-gold eyes. I smiled and kissed his knuckles, which made his smile broaden. He bent over to kiss me, which I was happy to reciprocate.

"You asked why I was affectionate with you, did you not?"

I nodded when he straightened again. He stared out over the landscape. I returned my violet gaze to the horizon. There was trees as far as my eye could see over the rolling hills. Mountains stretched in the background. It made me wonder where we were located.

"It is because I recognized you, my little wolf."

"You saw me before somewhere?" I frowned, pushing my eyebrows together. "I would remember if I saw you, Alexandre."

He chuckled and squeezed my hands. "Perhaps this will help jog your memories."

He looked down and I watched his hair turn the color of his eyes, then his eye color changed to a pretty dark green. His face looked familiar. When it hit me, I burst into tears.

"Daddy!"
