"Shouldnt we be checking darker streets, what kind of idiot would come out and fight in the middle of the day in the centre of the city with so many heros around?" I groaned
"If there werent heros around here this place would be a target, its full of students and little kids playing around" he turned to us
"Hey, I have seen the blonde one on TV before" a kid laughed and me and Bakugou turned around
"Another fan from the sports festival" he mumbled
"Yeah, a villain caught him and he almost cried like a baby" they laughed
"Yeah and that girl had frozen all the reports outside of U.A, there are videos of her" another one laughed
"What did you say-" Bakugou started but I cut him off
"Yeah and while I was fucking doing that you little shit could have been to the dentist for that huge ass gap in your mouth or you could have been trying to actually get a little fit you short fuck" I barked at them and they started crying while Bakugou backed me up
"Have you both already forgotten what I have taught you, talk to them like pros"
"Listen up, I wasnt helpless, I was just coming up with ways to fight him off, you realy think I would lose?" he growled
"I was fucking not, I actually enjoyed it, something you little shits will never be able to do because your all cry fucking babies" I growled
"Keep on moving and stop scaring the little kids, seriously, what kind of parents will you two be?" he sighed and entangled us in some threads, pulling us away
"These kids are fucking idiots" Bakugou shouted and I glared at him
"Keep that volume down, will you? In case you didnt notice I didnt exactly have the best parent figures my guy"

"Yes, I know, but what does that have to do with how you will treat kids, you should be sweet to them because of that"
"Yeah, in my perspective, all I can recall about how to discipline your child is beat them up until they puke, wait for your wife to inerfere, kick her away, then give a last hit on the little shit and leave, I can always just do that"
"Kepp that for the villains, just ignore kids if that helps" he groaned and continued walking while I just shrugged
Seriously, I shouldnt have come here with Bakugou. I would even be netter with the burning trash of a father I have, at least I wouldnt be help down by his fucking threads in the middle of the office with everyone looking at me and Bakugou who is gonna blow up anytime now
"I have to correct people like you, its part of my duty to society, heros and villains are cut from the same cloth, so your job here is to watch me, I will show you what makes someone a hero"
Thats quite ironic, considering Dabi is a villain. What did I even do tyo desrve this, oh right, I listened to fucking Bakugou, how did I think this idiot made the right choice for once?
"What in the hell are you doing?" Bakugou growled
"Isnt it obvious, correcting you two hotheads" he sighed and turned to the raging guy next to me
"You have a good handle on your powerful quirk and a descent grasp of its application as well, your an outstanding talent, I would say you are already good enough to be a sidekick, however you do have a fatal flaw. You believe your the best and you display that belief for no regard for how it on you or your image" he sighed and a snort escaped me as I slipped into maniac laughter

"Shut the fuck up halfwit" he growled
"Todoroki, I thought you were slightly better but turns out you two are cut from the same fabric" he sighed
"Hey! Of course im better"
"You arent, you scared these little kids way more than Bakugou and heros are people citizens are supossed to look up to, these kids wont only not look up to you, they might even think heros are stupid because of your behavior"
"Heros are stupid, most of them are pure idiots" I growled
"You have an extrordinary control over your quirk and know how to use it to your advantage, you too could be a sidekick to a top pre by now, but then again, you dont use it that much. You go for hand to hand combat as soon as you can, you proved that the moment you stepped on stage. But, you also have a fatal flaw, a different one. You are brutally honest and have no sympathy, you arent going to be a torturer you are going to be a hero, show kindness"
"Have you read my file, seriously, its clearly displayed"
"You should try to overcome that, if not, just fake it. Its a heros duty to help people, not to traumatize them and make them think they are a burden"
"Did you bring us here just to give us a lecture?" Bakugou growled
"And your hair is going to need a lot of fixing" he sighed
"Hey, okay, I get it for his hair, its literally a bush, you cn probably hide shit in there too but mine is fine" I pouted
"It looks as dead as your soul, his is way too much" he sighed
He proceeded to basically glue Bakugous hair down, he had to do it a couple of times before it ctually stayed still and I couldnt help but start laughing until teras escaped my eyes.
"Shut the fuck up" he growled
"Not to lauhg, your next" Best Jeanist said and grabbed me
He did something, I dont know what, but he did something to my beautiful hair that made it sit down straight like a fucking bone. It wont even move, what the fuck did he do to my hair?! Bakugou was almost crying next to me with his hair still down and I couldnt help but start laughing again
"They need so much fixing, I will need a year to get them straight, one week will barely be enough to give them the idea" Best Jeanist sighed and walked away
"Bring ice cream, im getting the popcorn"
"You fucking ate all the ice cream yesterday when you decided to pull an all nighter"
"We have no work anyways, we go to a normal patrol, there is no reason for you to be asleep by midnight"
"I sleep at ten, im already losing sleep because your fat ass wants to see movies"
"I can do that on my own, you got into my room"
"We fucking share a room idiot"
"Whatever, point is, I can watch on my own, you choose to see instead of sleep"
"Your nerdy ass was just lucky and picked movies I liked, thats why"

Adventurer Book II - Dawn of an Empire Short story prequel- The Lurking Lair: An Adventuer Series Short Story Summary for the LitRPG savvy reader: Looking for a LitRPG that is more tabletop traditional role playing game and less MMORPG? This is probably your cup of tea. Long term progression with a heavy slice of life element. Strong mix and inclusion of ancient Greek life, values, and myths. Hence, the world can be a bit more harsh and brutish than modern sensibilities. The system is tangible and knowable beyond the MC's insights. The MC is more of an everyman than someone specifically chosen for the experience. Author's Note: This is my debut novel. Up until this point, the only thing I have written of comparable length has been non-fiction and related to history. I am immensely grateful to all the folks who have given me feedback and helped me improve my writing.
