The magic thing about home is that, it feels good to leave but it feels even better to come back.

'AAAHH.' Aayan got up frustrated from his chair as he yelled. Zubair barged through the door into Aayan's office and looked at him worried, 'You okay, bro?' He asked. Aayan looked at him frustrated, 'Nothing is okay. This..' he pointed at the pile of files on his desk and said, '....is not getting over at all. It's been a week since the market crashed and I have been coming to work early and going back late and both the times I see Ruhee asleep. I am losing my mind.' Zubair kinda understood what Aayan meant. He was married and the next moment, he had to go to work.

'Aayan, calm down. Take a seat and have some water.' Zubair said giving him a glass of water. Aayan sat down and took the glass from Zubair's hand and gulped it down. Aayan was literally fuming. Zubair leaned on the desk and began, 'I know it's too much for you now but we are almost done. This...' he pointed to the pile of files and said, '...is the last pile, I assure you.' Aayan placed his hand on his head massaging it. Zubair felt bad for his friend, 'You know what, you go home. I'll do the rest of the work.' Zubair said going for the files but Aayan placed his hand on the pile, 'No, I'll do it. You also have too much work on your shoulders, I am not gonna add more.' Aayan said picking up a file and reading it.

Zubair was about to protest when a knock was heard on the door, 'Come in.' Aayan said and Mason walked in, 'Sir, Mr.Mahir Ibrahim is here to see you.' Mason said and Aayan and Zubair turned to look at him at the same time. They then looked at each other and etched their brows. Mahir never visited Aayan's company. Aayan signed and spoke, 'I can't deal with his banter right now, please ask him to leave.' Aayan said and looked back at his file, 'I am not here to cause any fuss.' Aayan heard Mahir's voice say and he looked up. Mahir had walked in when they were speaking. He closed the door and walked forward, 'Mason, you can leave.' Zubair said to him.

Mason could feel the tense atmosphere in the room as both the brothers stared at each other. Mason nodded his head and left the room. Aayan got up from his chair and glared at Mahir, 'What do you want?' Aayan asked, 'To make up with you...' Aayan was surprised, '...and your family.' Zubair put a finger in his ear and cleaned it, to make sure he was hearing right. Zubair and Aayan looked at each other and back at Mahir, he held a pleasant face which is unusual cause he always came with a smirk or anger, 'I know you must be surprised but I am being honest.' Aayan and Zubair just stared at him.

Mahir kinda felt awkward with all the staring but he still spoke on, 'That day what your fiance...' Mahir began and looked at Aayan to see him frown at the mention of his wife,' ....Sorry, wife said kinda made sense.' Aayan and Zubair frowned, 'I never really understood why I fought with you and hated you, I just went along with what my Ammi said.' Mahir looked down guilty, 'Ammi had always told me that you and Choti Ammi will steal father away from us and leave us with nothing, and I believed her.' Mahir scoffed, 'After what you wife said I realized that, that Abbu never did that. He made sure to make us feel wanted, maybe more than you.'

Not Maybe, Abbu did spend more time with you two.

Mahir looked at a serious Aayan and spoke, 'I did a little thinking and I found out all my hate was useless cause you did nothing to me. I was always the one to start a fight or a fuss, you were the victim for no reason at all.' Mahir was speaking his mind today and he was going all out, 'My mothers hate got transferred to me and it caused trouble in both our lives like your wife said. I know what I did all these years is not worth forgiving but, I sincerely apologise for everything.' Aayan's face relaxed cause he could see the sincerity in Mahir's eyes, 'I am sorry.' Mahir said.

Aayan felt a pang of emotion hit him as those words left his mouth. Aayan looked away as he felt his eyes waver. Aayan didn't speak but just looked away, 'I understand if you don't want to forgive me so soon, but please do. I don't wanna keep fighting with my little brother anymore.' As Aayan heard Mahir say that he looked up at him to see Mahir's eyes also slightly wet. Aayan gritted his teeth to not show any emotions and nodded his head. A smile broke on Mahir's face, 'Thank you, and Sorry I was not able to make it to your wedding. I had a sudden business trip to Russia and I came back just last night.'

Mahir pulled out a small packed gift from inside his suit pocket and placed it on the table, 'Congratulations on your wedding. You've chosen an incredible life partner.' Aayan smiled as he was reminded of Ruhee. He really wanted to see her at the moment, 'I'll leave for now, I have got a lot of work piled up. Let's keep in touch?' Mahir suggested and Aayan nodded his head. Mahir bought his hand forward for a hand shake, 'Best of luck for the future.' Aayan smiled and held his hand in a firm handshake. The two brothers smiled at each other with honesty in their eyes.

Mahir turned around and noticed for the first time that Zubair was also there, and Zubair was staring at him like a ghost. Mahir looked complexed but patted Zubair's arm and said, 'We'll be in touch, too.' Zubair just stared at him with his wide eyes. Mahir looked back at Aayan and Aayan just shook his head not willing to explain his stupid friends behaviour. Mahir nodded his head and gave Zubair on final look before he left. Aayan glanced at a frozen Zubair before settling down in his seat.

After few dozen minutes, Zubair broke from his resolve, 'After that, even I need a break.' Zubair said and dashed out the room. Aayan just shook his head at his friend. Aayan was doing his work in double speed, he wanted to be done with all the work today itself. He didn't want to stay away from Ruhee anymore. He wanted to go home and engulf her in his arms and never let go. It took Ruhee just one day to set Mahir right, which Aayan had been trying for years.

God, I miss her so much right now.

It was 1am and Aayan was finally done with his work. He didn't move from his desk till now. He got up from his seat and stretched his stiff muscles, he picked up his bag and walked out his office. He got in his car and left his company premises. He reached home and parked his car before getting off. He entered the code and went in. He tiptoed up the stairs and into his room. He slowly opened the door and saw Ruhee fast asleep on the bed. He tiptoed into the closet and freshened up. He came back changed in his t-shirt and sweats.

He lifted the duvet and got under it and scooted closer to Ruhee. He slide his arm over her waist and pulled her closer, hugging her to his chest. He signed in delight as he knew he didn't have to worry about getting up early for work. He could sleep in with Ruhee as long as he wants. Suddenly, he felt Ruhee shift in his embrace. He froze in place as Ruhee turned around and hugged him, placing her cheek on his chest. Aayan rested he cheek on her head, 'Thank you.' He whispered to her, 'Your welcome.' Aayan heard her sleepy voice after sometime and snickered. He pulled her closer and fell asleep.

Aayan stretched his hand out but felt the bed empty. He frowned and opened his eyes to see Ruhee gone. He looked at the time and saw it was 11am. Aayan's eyes grew wide seeing he slept so long. He got up and went into the closet to freshen up. He walked down and saw Ruhee in the kitchen as Sahma was watching TV. Sahma looked at him and smiled, 'Slept well?' She asked. Aayan nodded and sat down. He looked at Ruhee who turned around and smiled at him, 'Is all your work done?' Sahma asked. Ruhee came and gave him a cup of coffee which he accepted with a "Thank You", 'Yes Ammi, all done.' Aayan replied, 'Good.' Sahma said and got up to enter her room.

As soon as Aayan saw Sahma gone, he placed the cup on the teapoy and pulled Ruhhe by her wrist, which caused her to land on his lap. Aayan slide his arms around her waist and placed his chin on her shoulder to secure her in place, 'Aayan, Ammi is gonna see.' Ruhee whisper yelled at him, trying to free herself, 'Why were you not there when I got up?' Aayan ignored her and asked his question, 'Huh?' Ruhee asked confused, 'I expected to see you next to me when I got up today, but no, you were gone.' Aayan complained, 'You expect me to be laying down next to you till 11am?' Ruhee pointed out to him, 'Yes.' Aayan said, nonchalantly.

Ruhee was about to scold him when she heard the door to Sahma's room open. She hit Aayan's arm on her waist which caused him to loosen up, enough for Ruhee to stand up in time. Aayan rubbed his arm were Ruhee hit him as he hissed. Sahma walked to them holding an envelope and handed it to Ruhee. Ruhee took the envelope and asked, 'What is this, Ammi?' 'Why don't you open it and find out yourself.' Sahma said and Ruhee did what she was told. From inside the envelope, Ruhee pulled out two plane tickets, 'Plane tickets?' Aayan sipped his coffee as Ruhee asked that to Sahma.

'Yup, tickets for your honeymoon.' As soon as Sahma said that, Aayan spit out his coffee. Few of the coffee droplets fell on Ruhee's top and she glared at Aayan. Aayan didn't bother that and got up and snatched the envelope and tickets out of Ruhee's hand. He looked at Sahma like she just handed him his favorite candy, 'Now, go on Ruhee, Pack up.' Sahma said to Ruhee, 'But Ammi, if we leave, you'll be all alone at home.' Ruhee said. Aayan's face became serious and he nodded his head, 'Oh don't worry, I'll go to my sisters place. You two go and have fun.' Sahma said and Aayan's face lit up again.

Ruhee was about to protest but Sahma stopped her and pushed her upstairs to pack, 'Your flight is tomorrow Morning. So, pack up.' Sahma said. As soon as Ruhee was gone, Aayan rushed over to his mother and hugged her, 'Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.' He kept thanking her. Sahma patted his back and said, 'That's enough, now go pack.' Aayan pulled back with a bright smile, 'You have been working all this while and Ruhee has been bored at home. Her college starts soon, so go and have fun.' Sahma says, patting his cheek. Aayan nodded his head and hopped up the stairs to pack.

Let's go to our Honeymoon.
