《Accidental Nikkah》CHAPTER 31

There are planets on each orbit, some big some small. And at times, the orbit shift and positions change, and each planet should adjust and align itself accordingly. Pluto is a planet that rebelled with the orbit. He didn't adjust or go with it, thus it got pushed out of the circle and froze to ice.

Sometimes, you need to adjust. Life will not go as you always plan it to, there will be times when life chooses what's best for you, even if you are against it. Just go with it, as you cannot really battle with life, and if you do, you might get isolated like pluto.

Ruhee was devastated, not because of the articles or the comments she read. Yes, Ruhee was scared due to the articles and sad by the comments, which her friends tried to hide from her, but they had forgotten she also owns a mobile. But that wasn't what was causing her to cry, it was her family.

Ruhee never gets hurt by strangers, it's her family that always ends up hurting, and they don't even know that. Her mother keeps reminding her how she is diabetic and it will be hard for them to find a groom for her. Her fathers keeps pointing out her flaws every now and then, even if she had done a good job, without appreciating her, he would point out the mistakes.

Her sister is too small to hurt her, but her brother is too biased to hurt her. He believes he is the one who doesn't hurt Ruhee, but he does not realize, that he is what causes their parents to make Ruhee perfect.

Ian Shariff, didn't turn out the way his parents expected him too. He became the actual bad boy in college causing troubles and his parents were called in often. After joining work, it is obvious that he would support the house one way or another, but he asked for one year of freedom, which his parents agreed. Now it has been over two years, and he has still no plans of supporting his family.

Ruhee had decided to visit her family today, and she was very excited and happy to meet them after one whole month, but she didn't expect to walk into a war zone. When her mother opened the door for her, she was really happy to see Ruhee, although she spoke to her mother every day. Her father smiled at her, which looked kinda forced. She could feel the thick atmosphere in the house, but she did not question it.

She saw her brother, like always, in his room. She went to meet him with a smile, but it vanished when she saw his deep frown and angry face. He looked at her and forced a smile. She just nodded and walked out. She was really happy seeing her family after so long, but that happiness just died down when she noticed her family was only trying to be cheerful to her.

There was only one other person she had, who could help her understand the situation at home, her sister. She had met her sister, but she was silent all the while, so she had to speak to her gently. She entered the room and saw her sister, sitting on the bed, drawing. She slowly went and sat next to her, she peeked over to see her drawing Princess Aurora from sleeping beauty.

"Hey Sana, What you drawing?" she asks her softly. She looks up to her and says, "Aurora." "Hmmm, she looks very pretty." Ruhee, told her. And her sister nods, while colouring her dress. Ruhee takes a deep breath before asking, "Sana, baby, did something happen while didi was gone?" Sana looks up at her sister, and instantly, her eyes start to well up with tears. She immediately hugs her sister and cries, softly.

"Hey, baby, What happened?" Ruhee asked, starting to get worried at her sister's sudden outburst. "Abbu and bhaiya fought." Sana said, in between her cries. Ruhee just rubs her sisters back to calm her down. Usually when her parents or her brother fought, Ruhee would always stay with her sister, deviating her mind, but since she was not, only God knows how she felt.

My poor baby.

"Where are you going?" Ruhee heard her father ask someone. So she asks her sister to stay inside and continue her drawing and went out. Her brother was standing before the entry door, her father and mother were sitting on the sofa. "Out." is all her brother said and opened the door to leave, "Good, and don't comeback." their father says. "Abbu!" Ruhee exclaims shocked.

Her brother bangs the door close and turns to their father, "So you are kicking me out of the house just because I do not give money at home?" her brother asked, in disbelief. "It's because if you stay home, and not obey your parents, I fear I might say something bad, and if Allah accepts it, I don't want it to ruin your life." her father exclaims calmly.

Ian just stares at his father. He knows what his father said is right and that what he is doing is also wrong, but he believes he is still too young to handle responsibilities. He wants to live his life. He doesn't say anything and goes back to his room. "Abbu, you shouldn't have said that." Ruhee says, looking at her father. Her father looks towards her and says, "You might feel what I am doing is wrong, but this is for his own good."

I know Abbu, that whatever you say is for our good only, but bhaiya is in a generation were you need to talk to him softly and politely, and when the moment is right, not just like that.

Ruhee goes to her brother and sits before him on the bed," Bhaiya, you okay?" she asks softly. Her brother looks up to her from her mobile and nods at her, Ruhee just smiles at him. "I understand that it is still not your age to take up responsibilities, and Ammi and Abbu never asked you take up the responsibilities. They just want you to help them run this house." Ruhee explains to him, politely.

"Yeah, then why did he tell me to just leave the house?" her brother asks her sternly, she had no reply to that, because she knew her brother was in no state to understand. "I might just leave this place for good, maybe then I'll get to live in peace." Ruhee looks at her brother in disbelief, "Bhaiya." she says in a low voice, but he doesn't even look up at her. Ruhee picked up her bag, and left, after saying her goodbyes, she didn't even wait for lunch.

She walked to the metro rail and got in. All the while Ruhee kept thinking of one thing.

My family is falling apart.

Currently, Ruhee was crying in Aayan's embrace and she didn't care. She wanted to just let go. No matter how much her family might hurt her, it's her family, and it will always be her first priority. And seeing that family like this, was really breaking her. She just kept on crying, while Aayan just rubbed her back in soothing circles.

She just let go of everything. After a few more moments of intense crying, Ruhee finally calmed down, but didn't let go of Aayan's shirt that she was clutching tightly while her head was placed on his chest, while he held her. After few more moments of staying in that position, in silence, Aayan stood up, holding Ruhee close to him. He walked her over to the bed and made her lay down, she let go off his shirt and looked up to him.

Aayan was kneeling next to her, as he soothed her head. He gave her a small smile and said, "Sleep." Ruhee shook her head. "Take some rest, you must be tired." Ruhee agreed and closed her eyes to go to sleep.

Thank you Aayan, for not asking anything and just staying beside me.
