There are many types of rainfalls. The one before the mango season begins, is called a mango shower. The first rain of monsoon, for the peacocks to dance. Extreme weather conditions with thunder and lightning, but anyway, you can't help but admire the rainfall.

What kind of rainfall was it in Aayan's and Ruhee's life, they didn't know. They were just going with the flow.

Ruhee and Aayan were on their way to his house, and Ruhee's new home for the next three months.

Ruhee was looking out the window deep in thoughts while Aayan drove the car smoothly. There was a comfortable silence in the car, and none of them bothered to break it.

When Ruhee informed her friends about her moving in with Aayan for three months, they were shocked to say the least.

Afza - Unbelievable!!

I know.

Jian - Daebak!!

I wanted to say that loud aswell.

Aina - And you are okay with it?!

I don't have much of a choice.

Ruhee - I don't have much of a choice.

Aina - True that!

Afza - So you'll be living a married life with him, for three months!!!?

Jian - Well, he is a good looking guy, I don't see the problem, but what if he gets too close during the process, you know what I mean? 😏

I very well do.

Ruhee - Then I am gonna smack him, hard.

Aina - What if feel the need to get close?

Will I? Why am I not sure of it?

Afza - Stop giving her more pressure people!!

Yeah Ruhee, no pressure.

Ruhee - Girls, I am gonna go live with him for three months, with no strings attached.

But why am I feeling pressured more every second?

The car stops, bringing Ruhee out of her thoughts. She looks at Aayan to see him remove his seat belt. He looks at her and says, "We're here." Ruhee looks out the window to see a beautiful, gray and white coated house.

Aayan got out of the car, and goes to unload Ruhee's luggage. Ruhee removes the seat belt binding her to the car seat, and gets out. She looks at the sophisticated looking house before her.

My new home.

She goes to the back, to help Aayan with her luggage. He had already unloaded the trunk and was closing the door. He looked at Ruhee, when she came to stand next to him.

Aayan picks up the medium brief case and dragged along a big briefcase, while Ruhee just dragged along the other big briefcase.

From outside, the house didn't look as big as mansion, or smaller than Ruhee's flat building, which consisted of four floors. It was a medium sized house, that also yelled rich.

It seems nice.

Aayan stops at the front door and enters four digits on the keypad beside it. A weird noise is heard. Aayan uses the handle on the door, and pushes it open. He picks up the briefcase and walks in, while Ruhee stands their gaping.

Aayan turns around when he doesn't sense Ruhee following him, to find her at the doorstep, gaping. "The house doesn't have a key, it opens with a number password. I'll give you the password later." he informs her. "Now are you gonna come in, or plan on staying out there?"

Ruhee breaks from her trance and enters the house, dragging her briefcase. She takes a few steps in and almost the whole house is in view. She looks around to find the similar gray and white walls.

Does he have achromatopsia?

From entering the front door, you see a staircase straight ahead, going up, forming a balcony type of structure. It forms a 'L' shaped balcony with glass railings with a thick silver lining. You can see two doors on the top floor, one on each side of the 'L'.

To Ruhee's right, is the living room, you need to ascend two stairs to reach it. It consisted of a semi square cushion sofa in the colour gray, with multiple gray and white cushions, facing the television set attached to the white wall. In front of the sofa was a translucent teapoy, with silver lining.

Does he hate colours or what?

Behind the living room, above the two stairs, is an all white dining table, for 6 people to sit. If you look further, there is a magnificent kitchen, with a gray and white interior.

I must really confirm if he can see colours other than gray and white.

To the right of the living room, above the two staircases, is another door. To the left of that door, a little away from the kitchen and dining table, is another door.

So the living room is like the ground floor of the ground floor?

Suddenly, the door opens, and a very happy Sahma comes out. She walks over to them, and engulfs Ruhee into a warm hug, "Welcome home, my daughter-in-law." Aayan chokes on his own spit, and starts coughing at what his mother said.

Ruhee just hugs her back, awkwardly. She pulls back and looks towards Aayan's now read face, due to coughing, "Are you okay, son?" she asks casual. Aayan just nods at her.

"I am so glad to know that we'll live in the same house. Now, I can finally talk to someone, from whom I can expect a proper reply rather than, nods and 'Hmm's'." she says looking at her and then at Aayan.

Ruhee laughs lightly at what his mother had said, and looked at Aayan to find him staring at her. She looks away immediately. "Of course, ma'am, we can talk all you want." Ruhee says smiling at Sahma.

"Oh rubbish, you are my daughter-in-law, drop the formalities and ma'am, call me Ammi from now on."

Ruhee blinks at Sahma, and looks towards Aayan to find him staring at his mother. Ruhee looks back at Sahma and says almost awkwardly, "Okay, Ammi."

Sahma smiles with approval. They hear a clearing of throat, they look towards the voice, which is, Aayan. He gives his mother A look and she realizes something, "Oh yes! First you need to settle in your room, go on boy, take her to her room, what are you waiting for." Aayan gives his mother a bored look and carries Ruhee's luggage upstairs.

Ruhee smiles at Sahma and follows Aayan up the stairs, struggling with the briefcase. Aayan stops at the front of the first door, and looks at Ruhee struggling to carry the big briefcase.

He moves towards her and holds the handle of her luggage, which she was already holding, which causes him to hold on to her hand.

As soon as their hands make contact, they look at each other. Raven black eyes making contact with the brown ones, they just look into each others eyes. Ruhee is the first to look away, and quickly pulls her hand out of his grasp. She holds her hand to her chest, and looks the other way.

Aayan clears his throat, and carries her luggage and places them in front of the door. He opens the door to a room with gray walls. He enters with her luggage and Ruhee follows suite.

As you enter the room, straight ahead at the end, is a book shelf, sted back to the wall, with multiple books. Adjacent to it, is a sitting chair, besides it, is a small coffee table.

I can read books there.

In the centre of the room, sharing the wall with the book shelf, is a big bed, with white pillows and a gray duvet. Adjacent to the bed, is door, beside the door is a gray couch.

I am now sure, he has achromatopsia.

Ruhee frowns, the room not settling with her. It looked like a room someone uses. She looks at Aayan to find him avoid eye contact. Her frown deepens.

"Aayan, does someone already use this room?" she asks, frowning. He doesn't reply and looks elsewhere.

"Aayan." Ruhee calls in a warning tone.

Aayan signs, but still doesn't look at her. "This room is mine, and you'll be staying with me." he says, almost annoyed by it. Ruhee looks at Aayan with an open mouth.

I will be staying with him? In his room? No way!!!

"I am not sharing a room with you. I need a seperate room." Ruhee exclaims, almost yelling at him. Aayan looks at Ruhee, "Trust me, I don't wanna share a room with you aswell, but Ammi wants us to."

"Then you should have tried convincing her." she all but yells. "You think I didn't try? She didn't wanna listen to a word I say." he says facing her.

Ruhee closes her eyes and massages her temple. "Will I get a seperate bed?" Ruhee asks signing, opening her eyes to look at Aayan. "I thought of that but...." Aayan starts, "..... But Ammi didn't allow?" Ruhee ends it for him. He just nods.

"I am not sharing a bed with you." she states almost immediately. "I know." is what Aayan replies. Ruhee looks around the room and spots the couch. She looks at Aayan, analyzing him from head to toe, while he straightens his coat under her gaze.

He was wearing blue jeans, a white t-shirt, and a beige blazer. While Ruhee was wearing a black Abaya and a black hijab. Under the Abaya, was a casual pink coloured plain long top and printed white jeans.

He is too tall to fit in that couch.

Ruhee signs before saying, "I'll sleep on the couch." Aayan looks at her and immediately says, "No, No.... It's okay, I'll sleep on the couch." Ruhee turns to Aayan now fully facing him, with her left hand on her hip.

"Listen here dude, I am sleeping on the couch...." Aayan goes to interrupt, but Ruhee stops him with a finger held up, "....... You are too tall to be able to fit on that couch. And if you still insist, then I won't be able to sleep peacefully on that, knowing you are uncomfortable on that couch. So, I am sleeping on the couch, and you, sleep on the bed. Am I clear?" Ruhee explains to him, getting irritated.

Aayan stares at her saying nothing. Ruhee closes her eyes and takes a deep breath, before asking again, this time, by emphasizing each word,"Am I clear?".

"Yes." Aayan replies, nodding his head, quickly.

Ruhee suddenly smiles widely, and clasps her hand in front of her. "Good! Now...." she looks around the room, then back at Aayan, who was kinda freaking out by her mood shifts,"Where do I keep my luggage?" she looks at Aayan expectantly. "Oh." Aayan picks up her luggage and walks towards the door next to the couch, and slides it open and enters.

Ruhee follows him, dragging her briefcase. She enters to figure out that, it's actually a walk in closet. She looks around fascinated. One half of the closet was filled with suits and shirts, while the other half was empty. To her right, there was another door, she walked forward and opened the door to find the toilet and shower.

I have to share this aswell.

Ruhee closes the door and looks at Aayan, he was staring at her intensely. Ruhee squirmed under his gaze, "This half on the left is mine, this half on the right is yours." he says pointing at them. Ruhee just nods.

"I'll leave you be, if you need me, I'll be in my study, which is the other door on the floor. You can even ask Ammi if you need anything." saying this, he looks at her for any doubts, seeing none, he walks out.

Ruhee let's out a breath she didn't know she was holding. Even though the closet was big, it felt small to her when he was in. She looks at her empty half......

Let's get settled.
