Annalise

They had all trundled downstairs, to where the others were huddled in the living room. Crowded around a fairly flustered looking Harvey. During the time they had spare, they had found that even though he couldn't see her physical form, Harvey could teleport Annalise as long as she had a connection to someone else he was teleporting.

That way he could teleport everyone to their locations without any of them having to use transport. It was both quicker, and more stealthy. They didn't want to give away what they were doing straight away. Eugene had come up with the idea to collectively storm the house, making sure no one was aware of their positions outside of it.

Dawn and Annalise wandered up to the group, slotting themselves besides Eugene and Cassius. Annalise worried her lip, there was so much going round in her head like thousands of tiny butterflies in a swarm. She was unable to catch a single one but it tormented her nonetheless.

"We best get going, guys!" Harvey smiled, flexing his wrists and rolling his shoulders. He was wearing a tight white top, with black work out joggers. His long blonde hair was pulled to the side in a plait. Harvey himself had been staying with them for the past two days. Camping out on the couch, only once going back to his home for supplies and a change of clothes.

Annalise winced. She needed to go, she had to go. But god, she wished it could just be easy. Harvey clapped his hands, and pointed directly at Dawn. "You!" He exclaimed, "You and Annalise are going first. You guys are going to be the easiest to transport without getting spotted!"

Annalise knew this was coming but she still hated it. It was the plan, Harvey would teleport her and Dawn first. Then Raul and Victoria, and finally Gene, Cassius and himself. There was a silence for a moment, before Gene turned around to face her.

Reluctantly she looked into his eyes, searching for something. Any kind of comfort. He smiled, placing a hand on her shoulder with a tight squeeze. He made a jerk, like he wanted to do more but stopped himself. He heaved a heavy sigh.

"Be safe," Gene commented, there was a burning in his eyes. A steely determination that glowed green. And in that moment, Annalise knew that everything would be okay. He would be there. He hadn't led her astray this far. She had more faith in him than she did herself.

"Be safe," Annalise echoed back with a smile of her own, tilting her head slightly. There was a warmth in her chest, and a determination in her own eyes. They could do this. Before she could say anything else, a loud cough interrupted them.

Harvey was staring just above her head, like he was trying his hardest to see her. "Where is she? I'll never get used to this." He complained. With that, Eugene gently nudged her towards Dawn. The woman in question grabbed her hand with far more enthusiasm than the situation called for.

Harvey in turn grasped Dawn's hand. Gene didn't need to say anything more than what he had. She knew what he was trying to say in the silence that followed. Be safe, it will be okay, you will be okay. And it was all she needed.

There was a feeling of weightlessness for a moment, and as the world faded away, she didn't take her eyes off Eugene. His eyes were raised in a question only she could read. 'Will you be okay?'. Annalise nodded with a gentle grin. Bringing up her spare hand for a short wave.

What Annalise didn't see, as the scenery began to change, was Eugene visibly slumping in on himself. A feeling of both relief and trepidation overcoming him.

Before Annalise knew it, she was behind a collection of large fern trees and an array of bushes. She turned to look at Dawn, who seemed a little green around the gills. Annalise squeezed her hand in reassurance before letting go to glance around their location.

They were a distance away from the house, more like a cottage. Far enough that they couldn't be seen behind the foliage but close enough that they could see the goings on in the building.

"Well ladies!" Harvey cheered, gathering up Dawn for an awkward side hug, "It's time for me to leave. Good luck!" The look on Dawn's face was hilarious, making Annalise laugh. She looked like she wanted to gut Harvey for dinner.

But then it was Annalise's turn for the Harvey treatment. The witch did a complete 180, facing the opposite direction of where Annalise was actually standing. She had to bite back the giggles that were threatening to burst from her chest.

"You need to stay strong, Annalise." Harvey said severely, even though Annalise couldn't see his face, she could imagine it taught with worry. Which only made her want to laugh more. "It will be okay. Anyways! I'm off! Tah-tah!"

With a poof of dark blue smoke, he was gone. Dawn and Annalise looked at each other in the aftermath, a mixture of confusion and laughter on their faces. What a strange man. Annalise began to fully take in her surroundings. The house in question itself was gorgeous. A timely Victorian cottage, with a thatch roof and everything.

The garden was surrounded loosely by single wire fencing. Inside the garden was filled with flower pots, vegetables and fruits. It was amazingly well cared for. She wondered idly if Vitus' pastime happened to be gardening.

There was slight movement just outside the Venetian back door. Two shady figures stood in front of it, with gleaming silver knives attached to their hips. Dawn seemed to take note of them instantly.

"I know who they are," Dawn exclaimed, her body tensing up. "They're right assholes, let me take care of them." With a flash of speed, Dawn was right besides the two. She went to the rightmost one first, snapping his neck, grabbing his own knife and jabbing it into his chest within moments. She did the exact same thing to the next one, with no sound.

There wasn't even a scream.

Dawn came back to her, just as quick, the bloodied knife still glinting in her hands. Annalise shakily raised her hands to cover her face. "Oh my god! Oh my god!" Annalise cried, scrunching up her nose in disgust. If she could throw up, she would.

Annalise hadn't really seen much violence in her life, despite her hardships and she definitely wasn't prepared for it right now.

"What?" Dawn spluttered, seemingly offended, "I dealt with them didn't I?!".

"I thought you were going to just knock them out or something!" Annalise shouted back, still admittedly refusing to look at the dead bodies, moments away from her. Dawn looked like she couldn't believe what she was saying.

"What else was I meant to do!" Dawn cried. Annalise huffed indignantly, crossing her arms over chest.

"I don't know! Give me a warning or something next time!" She said, her voice trembling slightly. A knowing look passed over Dawn's face, and she stopped looking so defensive.

"I forgot you're used to being treated like a human," Dawn noticed, shrugging her shoulders like it was nothing at all. Annalise scrunched her face up in confusion.

"How else was I meant to be treated?" Annalise asked incredulously, she had only recently found out that she was half demon. Though she supposed, Dawn probably didn't know about the in's and outs of what had happened.

"No one told you when you were alive? Like your mum, maybe your dad or someone?" Dawn questioned, raising an eyebrow. "Not even, like, a hint?". She shook her head.

"I didn't even know my father. Only after I died, did i find out who he was," Annalise admitted, frowning slightly. Dawn coughed awkwardly, looking back towards the house.

"That sucks." She said bluntly.

"Yeah." There was a painful silence for a beat, but then Dawn interrupted.

"Should we get on with it then?" Dawn asked, heading over towards the luxurious garden. Annalise paused, glancing over it for a second. There were no obvious places were her body could be buried. No upturned areas of dirt, no displacement. Nothing.

She could tell this was going to be a long day.
