《Love Can't Be Tamed》Chapter One

"Mommy mommy can you please tell us the story again?" Sapphire asked.
"Right please mommy." Shiloh said.
I groaned.
"Ok ok but after you have to sleep ok." I said.
They nodded eagerly. I began telling them the story.
"They are so hot I would literally marry him." My friend Jin-Soo said gushing at her screen.
I rolled my eyes. She's always gushing about these boys while we're at work.
"Jin please focus on work." I said.
"Ok ok fine but you should definitely listen to them I don't understand why you hate them so much." She said picking up a box.
"I don't hate them, I'm just not obsessed like everyone else my life will not revolve around Bts they bleed just like the rest of us." I said shrugging my shoulders.
"I am not obsessed...I'm in love." She laughed.
I chuckled and shook my head. Jin-Soo and I have been friends since I was 15. She is the only one I know who accepted me for who I am.
"Karaoke tonight?" She asked.
"Hell no Jin you can't sing for shit and also last time we went you got dumped and was singing all types of heartbreak songs." I said.
"Please...our shift is almost over we can go home and change into something cute pleaseee." She begged.
"Ok ok." I gave in.
We finished unpacking the boxes in the store and locked up. Once we got home I immediately hopped in the shower. I was humming a song when I heard the door open.
"Do you know what you're wearing?" Jin asked as she started to use the toilet.
"Umm I'm just going to do something simple." I said as I began rinsing off.
"Same same I just want to get out the house." She said.
I stepped out the shower and wrapped the towel around me.
"Yeah I'm going to go get dressed hurry up." I said closing the door.
I went to my room and decided to wear a white crop top and black pants. Once I was finished getting dressed Jin-Soo came out of her room smirking.
"What are you up to Jin?" I asked.
"So I have a friend who works at the karaoke bar and he told me that they are closed but he can get us in." She said smiling.
"What else?" I asked.
"Nothing else." She said scratching her head.
I slapped her shoulder.

"Ah ok they're closed because Bts rented it out for themselves, and I really want to see them." She said.
"Jin." I said.
"Please come with me." She said.
"No." I said.
"What if I faint like I did last time." She said.
I sigh and scratched my head.
"Fine but don't start acting crazy." I said grabbing my coat and keys.
She jumped up and down in excitement. I rolled my eyes annoyed, we made it to karaoke bar and like she said it was deserted. She called someone on the phone and told me to get out.
"Ok so my friend is at the front entrance, please act right." She said.
"Well ain't that the pot calling the kettle black." I said following her.
"Ok so we got the place for three hours all cctvs are offline no one uploads on social media and have fun." Our manager Sejin said.
"So we can finally relax?" Jin asked.
"Right last time the fans caught us are you sure we're secured here?" Hobi asked worried.
"I promise no one is here." Sejin reassured him.
"Let's go." I said as we put our hoods on and quickly made it inside the building.
We were greeted and escorted to our room. Everyone began ordering food and Taeyhung was the first one to start the night off with a song. As everyone was cheering him on I began thinking about my life. I was successful but I kind of missed my old life.
Everything was peaceful, no one was in my business and I had privacy. I'm thankful for Bts but sometimes I just want to be Namjoon not RM 24/7.
"RMMMMM you're next!" Jungkook yelled as he patted my shoulder.
I laughed and went to the mic and picked a song.
I groaned as I watch Jin-Soo yell at the top of lungs. She was singing of course bts home. I rolled my eyes as she tried to hit a high note. I couldn't take it no more and stood up which caused her to stop singing.
"Im going to the rest room." I said she nodded and continued singing.
I went to the rest room and looked at myself. I didn't see what people hated about my skin color. I thought I was beautiful I loved my body or at least some of it. I sighed and handled my business, I was on my phone scrolling through social media when I bumped into something or someone.

"Jesus watch where you're going." He said.
I smacked my lips and grabbed my phone off the floor. Of course it was cracked but still worked.
"Sorry about that." I sigh as I looked at my phone.
"Here." He said holding out money.
I finally looked up at him he was tall.
"I don't need your money." I said.
"Don't be a prude just take the money or do you want a picture?" He said.
"I'm sorry who are you again?" I said scrunching my face in confusion.
"Huh." He said taken back.
"I don't want your money or a damn photo I want to get back to my booth so get out of my way." I said trying to get around him.
"Booth? Are you a customer or staff member?" He asked.
Shit.
"None of your business." I said.
I heard a door open and I seen two boys come out.
"Rm what are you doing?" He asked.
I slowly started to realized who he was and backed away as they began engaging in a conversation.
"HEY I'M NOT FINISHED!" He yelled.
I stopped in my tracks and turned back around.
"Precious what's taking so lo-." I turned to see Jin-Soo freeze.
More members came out of the room once they heard Rm yell.
"Jin please breath." I said.
"You have got to be fucking kidding me." I heard Rm sigh.
"Hi I'm Jimin."Jimin said breaking the tension as he walked up and shook Jin-Soo hand.
I watched Rm pull his phone out and call someone. I looked at Jin who was still shell shocked. I groaned and slapped her shoulder telling her to snap out of it.
"Um hi I love you guys." She said.
I scuffed.
"Please excuse Precious she's not really a fan." She said.
I rolled my eyes.
"Let's go." I said turning around.
"You didn't answer my question." Rm said.
"What is going on here?" Someone asked.
He looked older and wiser.
"I though you said this place was clear?" Rm asked.
"It is." He said.
"Then what is this Sejin?" He asked.
"Are you guys staff?" Sejin asked us.
I groaned.
"You know what all I want to do is go to my booth and listen to my best friend sing her heart out. No we're not staff this one over here decided she wanted to go to karaoke tonight to see you guys who she's overly obsessed with I just wanted to make sure she didn't pass out." I blurted out.
"Precious." Jin said.
"Can we go home now I'm sick of being here." I said.
"No we already paid." Jin said.
"How much do you guys want to make you forget you saw them here?" Sejin asked us pulling out a checkbook.
"Why is everything about money with you people? We just wanted to come out." I said.
Jin-soo grabbed my hand signifying that she was on my side.
"We can't be bought we're not like that if you want privacy that's what we'll give you, we just wanted a night out. Not everyone is out to get you guys." Jin said.
I looked at her. She is straight up lying this was her damn idea, I rolled my eyes and just minded my business.
I heard Rm scuffed and mumble under his breath.
Sejin walked back to us to discuss what we wanted to do.
"What do you guys want to do we can leave or whatever you want to do." He said.
"I don't want to go and plus they don't seem like crazy crazy." Jin said.
"I agree." Suga said.
"The other girl seems like she just don't like us." Hobi said.
"I agree." I said.
"I think she just lives in the real world." Jimin said shrugging.
"Yeah she doesn't seem to care about money either." Jungkook said.
"Who's side are you on?" I asked.
"I think we should stay." Taehyung said.
I got out voted for going home, so it looks like we're staying.
"But what are we going to do about them? What if they take pictures or start rumors?" Hobi asked.
"We're not going to take any photos of you gosh." She said.
"Precious." The girl beside her shoved her.
"We just want to go back to our booth y'all wasting my time." She said.
I rolled my eyes.
"Ladies you're free to go enjoy your night." Sejin said as they walked away.
I watched as she walked away. She didn't care who I was she demanded respect and she looked at me like I was just another stranger.
"Rm let's go." Jimin said snapping me out of my thoughts.
"What was that girls name the dark one?" I asked.
"Precious I think I don't know." Jimin said.
Hmm.

The Stormcrow Cycle
Once a powerful and lauded witch, Ba'an salu-Ba'an now lives alone in a cave in the desert, waiting to die. When she rescues an outlander from certain death she becomes embroiled in a deadly game of politics and empire, of heart and soul, but worst of all--of hope and love and a chance at a peaceful future. Can a disgraced witch find a reason to live her life again--and if so, what price must she pay? The Stormcrow Cycle is a trilogy comprising of The Exile, The Lion, and Abomination. Tags or genres for each book: The Exile: romance, slice-of-life The Lion: romance, slice-of-life, politics Abomination: tragedy, high/epic fantasy (aka "Everything is on fire!") Updates once a week whenever I have time. Cross-posted on Wattpad and Scribble Hub. The CBMokedi cover will return! Excerpt: She looked down at him again. Young. Healthy, from what she could see, except for the wound that was killing him. He was handsome in a way that suggested a life of wealth and plenty. She did not think he had ever starved. Someone important. Her shadow fell across him, and he frowned. Blearily, he opened his eyes. They were amber and bright, even as he lay dying in the dirt. She could feel his soul, blazing inside of him like a fire refusing to die even as his body began to fail. He met her gaze, eyes widening in what she guessed was surprise—or shock. But he never looked away, staring up at her as though transfixed. Ba’an made her decision. She raised her hand and covered his eyes. In another moment, a murder of crows cawed as they took wing. The man and woman were gone from the road, leaving only the dead staring up into the sky. Note: This is a high-fantasy set in a low-magic world. The first book is largely character-driven and we really only hit the real plot in Book II, so if you're not fond of long epic yarns you ought to skip this one. I also don't include trigger warnings, but mind the "traumatizing content" tag--all societies minus one practice slavery and the world is indeed, rather grim!
