I feel his arms circling around my waist and his face calmly resting behind my back. I let out a soft sigh and turn around slowly and so now I am facing my deadly gorgeous mate. His eyes open slowly as he kisses my nose and stares at me in the eyes.

"Mine." He growls silently at my ear and I just giggled on how tingly it feels. I just love how he reminds me that I am his and he is mine.

"Well good morning to you too, alpha. Don't you have a training today?"

He kisses me softly on the lips and I just kissed him back.

"I want to stay here." He nudges his face on my neck, "I love my bed."

"Um, no you don't. You just want me on your bed."

"Can't an alpha enjoy a moment like this?"

"Unfortunately this alpha is very busy with the pack." I tell him and he just looks at me with pleading eyes, "don't give me that look. I'm not one of those who submit because of that."

"I know you are, honey." He kisses my forehead, "I'll take a shower first."

"Okay." I watch him getting off of bed as he proceeds on going to the bathroom.

"Luna, your birthday is coming up, right?" Miranda, who always helps me with the work around here as well, asks me and I just nod while kneading the dough for the bread that we are going to bake for fun and for the pack members as well. Lawrence didn't mind at all and said we should make some after their training as well.

"Oh, yes. I am going to be sixteen by then." I reply to her and she just chuckles, "haha, what is it?"

"I wonder if I can see pups by then. Sixteen is a legal age for mating." Miranda says, "I got pregnant at sixteen and gave birth at seventeen."

"Where is your son and mate?"

"They are currently at training. My husband is the Delta. He used to be the Beta but then he is getting old and Lawrence didn't really want him to overwork so Leo took over. He is my son."

"L-Leo is your son?" Wow, I didn't know that.

"Yeah and I didn't really get infuriated when his mate is a vampire. I like the girl. Ema, wasn't it?"

"Yes, she is also my best friend. Coincidentally, her brother who is also a vampire is mates with my cousin who is a wolf in a neighboring pack."

"Such a crazy mating season we have and to think that you were once a human, child."

"Well, I wasn't really that human. The human genes were dominant and the werewolf genes weren't."

"Well, I won't push more for information. My head is about to explode. Let's bake the bread for our hungry wolves." Miranda puts the finished dough on the tray, "and your mate has been looking here for about an hour now. I bet he is not hungry for bread but is hungry for you if you know what I mean."

I just chuckle and look at Lawrence who is now staring at me with longing eyes. I smile at him and he grins back and continues on training with his pack members. Seriously, I really love the guy.

"Luna, we shouldn't be here."

"Come on, Neil. You are here so it's okay. Besides, I'm also strong and I mean this is just grocery shopping! So just calm down."

"The alpha will have my head after this. I should have stopped you with all due respect." Neil nervously tells me as he keeps on following me wherever I go. I went to the frozen section to buy some meat.

"Calm down. This is going to be over and thank you for accompanying me."

"You're welcome, Luna, and it's because I also don't you want you to get hurt or else—"

"Or else my mate will have your head, I get it. But, he wouldn't do that. He is actually a softie on the inside."

"You are his mate, Luna, and once he knows that you are the slightest hurt he will surely hunt him or her down without mercy."

"I won't get hurt. I swear." I face him and he just sighs, "good. Oh, how about you get these ingredients well I got some here to you know.. Lessen the burden?"

"Sure. Just don't be out of my sight, Luna." Then he is off.

While getting some soysauce and paprika, I notice a man staring at me a few feet away. He quickly turns away but left a bag on the floor. I was about to go after him when suddenly my wolf senses hear a ticking voice.

"EVERYONE GET OUT! THERE'S A BOMB!" I literally screamed at the top of my lungs. Everyone panicked and I see a young girl crying in the candy section. I went to her and immediately carried her.

Just when we were almost at the exit, someone grabbed me by the feet and I completely tumbled down. The girl fell on her butt but then I shouted at her to go out quickly. She scrambles on her feet and finds the exit.

I look back and see the man from before. He was about to kill me with a knife when all of a sudden Neil pounced at him not in whole form but in human form.

"Luna! I'll take care of him! Go now!"

"Neil, no!"

I don't want anyone getting hurt because of me.

Neil got injured by the knife—I smell Wolf's bane in it. That's when my blood boiled. Neil falls back, winces in my pain, and was about to be attacked by the man but then I tackled him with brute force.

"Who are you?!"

"You will die! You are a taboo! You should never have lived!"

He gets something from his pocket. It looks like a button.

The bomb..

"If I die, you die with me!" The man yells and presses the button

"Luna!"

"CLAIRE?!" I feel something painful in my chest.

No no, this isn't happening!

"Alpha!" Leo enters the house, "what's wrong?!"

"Where is Claire?!" I shout at him and he whimpers a little while stepping back.

"The other pack members told me that Claire made Neil accompany her to the groceries."

"And she didn't tell me?!"

I hope nothing happens to Claire.

I hope that this feeling was just a fraud..

Claire, hold on. I'm coming.
