"I want to search for Lawrence." I play with my red cup full of soda instead of beer that most of the party animals here are drinking.

I still want to stay sober and I promised that I wouldn't engage myself with drinking alcohol. My dad would kill me if I disgrace my promise. I wonder how dad is keeping up with dinner. I just left frozen pasta on the fridge and wrote a note that he can just put it on the microwave to heat it.

Ema just places her cup on the counter overlooking the pool a few feet away from them. The college students are having a blast and I start to notice that their booming voices have overpowered the speakers. I may have spoken normally to Ema but I know she can hear me due to the fact she is a vampire with incredible senses.

"He's fine!" She shouts just so her voice can pierce through my ears

Hm. Now I noticed something. How come Ema's hair is different from Valerio? Ema has red hair while Valerio has dirty blonde strands.

Pfft, I don't have a sibling so all of my years I've been believing that all siblings look a lot like each other.

"It's almost my curfew! I gotta scoot!" I attempt on standing up when suddenly a boy wobbly approaches me with a beer bottle on his hand. His eyes were bloodshot and filled with drunkness with no sign of soberness at all!

"Parteh weth meh babe!" He exclaims and I just move my sit away from him. He scares me like a lot.

"Move away, buster!" Ema stands up and acts all bitchy. I didn't know that Ema has a lot in stored in there. Yeah, I believe she mentioned that she used to be popular at a previous school and by popular I mean-- party blaster chick popular.

"Eeeeyyy Ema!" Another unexpectedly handsome male just entered the picture and he just put his arm across Ema's shoulder like they practically know each other before. Ema just removes his hand and glares at him with malice and hurt.

That face. What's going on?

Ema tries to get away from the boy when all of a sudden a massive stunt has been pulled. The boy's face has lingered on Ema's neck. Ema's eyes shot wide with shock. I also was about to rebuke at his ridiculous attempt.

When all of a sudden, a punch has been heard and the boy was seen thrown to the ground with a huge red across his baby cheeks. Ema looks at her back and her eyes glisten when she saw that it was Leo protectively defending her from the maniac.

Now is my time to escape. I'm anxiously worried about Lawrence. Only Leo came and it made my worry escalate. I believe Lawrence needs me.

"You can do this." I mumble to myself and fled from the party that is becoming hysterical and frazzled for the punch that Leo gave provoked the crowd.

This party is insane. I'm never going back ever.

Barely standing outside the gates, I rub my shoulders for heat and comfort. The temperature here is ridiculously low. It's too unnatural for human nature to freeze the living at such night.

Looking around, I search for any signs of Lawrence. My eyes are starting to water. Where is he??!

The voice is so cold.. So dreadful.

I turn around and my eyes landed on a pair of red eyes succumbed with bloodlust and hunger. Its or his teeth is drenched with blood and I can practically smell the stench overwhelming. I cover my nose and my mouth to protect me from ever smelling the odor..

The odor which it devoured.. Men.

"Oh my God.." My eyes dilated with fear. It's a vampire.. An unstable one. I can tell by the features and how it looked at me..
