So dad agreed about me going with Ema since he told me that I should experience 'high school' parties but I must be home by 9.

Kind of a 'high school' curfew, huh?

"This is exciting!" Ema squeals, "a true friend of mine is coming with me!"

"I've been thinking. How come they don't know that you are the daughter of the owner of the country's biggest company?" I ask her while we are walking towards the library to finish our requirements for English.

Ema told me yesterday that she is disguising herself in order not to catch attention. She transferred here last year which I didn't notice since she wants it that way but now she has me- a friend. She even told me that she was already fond of me but decided to wait for the right time to approach but our meeting was-- bumping to each other in the first place.

"I used to be very popular." Ema states, "but I didn't want the attention. You see, I also had a friend before transferring into this school. Her name was Kennie. She was also an outcast. She abandoned me because I was one of the richies. I never had true friends, you know. I knew all of the cool kids I used to be with were all jerks or bitches. I disguised myself, fled from that school, and transferred here. I decided to become an outcast."

Wow. I didn't even realize how empathetic she feels for a person. She really is a friend's lucky gem.

I am fortunate that I have her as a friend.

"Enough with this. Let's finish this project. We're lucky that we are in the same class or I would have ditched this essay." Ema scoffs and I chuckle.

I also didn't expect she was this of a complainer.

I forgot to ask though.

"What did you and Leo do yesterday?" I saw them walking away when Leo was eager to grab her.

I wish I had a mate but then again that would impossible.

"Erm.. We just took a stroll..?"

"I don't believe you."

"Okay! So he took me to this park and we talked for 2 hours. He was sooo eager to know me! Umm, h-he was actually very.. nice." Ema blushes and I widen my eyes with joy, "what?"

"Mate bonds are so romantic." I grin and she just slaps my shoulder, "ow!"

"If only you knew." Ema proceeds entering inside the library and I quickly follow her.

"H-hey!"

If only I knew? If only I knew what?

Oh no. Not again.

"Your cellphone has been ringing for like two times already. I'm afraid I am going to confiscate that." Miss Papins approaches me and holds out her hand. I reluctantly give her my phone and she turns around with it on her freaking hands.

And Lawrence kept on calling.

I will seriously yell at him. I thought he was clever enough to know that no calling or texting during class hours?!

Not only that. Before this subject, he kept on texting and calling me. I kept on refusing cos someone might snatch my phone and read all the contents.

Who? Let's just say the bullies.

I just slouch in my seat and begin listening boredly at Miss Papins' lecture.

"Woaw, slow down! You are seriously making Claire annoyed! Don't you know she has classes?" Leo tells me and I growl at him angrily.

"Even though it was her lunch time, she wouldn't freaking answer the fucking phone!" I pound the phone on my desk

She won't answer me. She won't even reply. What is wrong with her?!

Now I recalled about a party and she was invited by her vampire friend.

She mentioned about her brother.

It brought my blood boil.

"I'm going to Ema later on. Want to come with?" Leo asks and I glare at him, "um."

"I'll let Claire go that to party." I snarl

"Woaw. Can't you let Claire enjoy? I mean, she won't be touched by any vampire or werewolf cos your scent is already lingering on her." Leo sighs

"Still. She didn't reply. I won't let her get away." I stand up and grab my car keys
