"What are you guys freaking doing here? Both of you just harbored a loooot of attention!" It was already dismissal time which means we are going home and I quickly went to Lawrence and Leo who are calmly looking around their surroundings.

I hesitated to look at Leo because I already knew that he is a wolf—Ema's mate. It's kind of weird actually.

"I just missed you." Lawrence is like giving me the puppy eyes and I just look away whilst rolling my eyes

"Ha, funny. Don't you guys have work?" I cross my arms and raise an eyebrow, "my dad is going to kill me if he knows you guys have been visiting this school."

"He can't kill me." Lawrence sighs, "besides Leo is with me so it's no biggie."

"Biggie? I didn't know you use such word, Mr. Boss" I snap back and Lawrence raises his eyebrow at me

"What has gotten into you?" He looks pissed, "you're like defending yourself because of something."

That something is that I like you and it feels weird because we just met at your office before and here I am thinking that you are the one for me forever.

He looks at me with a shocked expression almost as if he just read what I just thought in my mind. I just turn around and walk away, leaving them be. I don't want to harbor much attention from the girls either because of talking to those men.

I don't want to engage with Lawrence no more.

"Claire!" I see Ema approaching me and I look up to smile at her. Her eyes immediately went to Leo the she looks at me as if there's no problem.

"What is it?" I ask her, confused on how she is acting as if she is in a rush.

"My brother has a party tomorrow night and he keeps on bugging me to bring you over." Ema nervously chuckles, "because he said that you're my ever first friend and he wants to see you. Actually, he is already in college."

"W-wait.. Is he also a vampire?" I ask her and she nods

"But don't worry, you have a hound's scent so he won't make a move on you."

Okay, hound's scent? But whose? Maybe Leo's cos I've been in contact with him before when we entered Lawrence's office.

I still can't clarify if Lawrence is a wolf or not.

"My dad wouldn't allow me to go.." I still have dinner to set up with and he can be really overprotective

"Trust me. I'll tell him when he will take you to this school tomorrow morning." Ema smiles once again then frowns because of something, "I can't tell my family that I'm mated to a wolf.."

"Is that really a big of a deal?" I ask her, "I thought wolves and vampires are in peace?"

"Yes but.. My family is very strict when it comes to only mating one type of being." Ema looks down to the ground, "I'm scared.."

"Don't be." I raise her chin up, "it's crazier if a human like me is mated to a wolf haha!"

"Ah hehe." Ema laughs suspiciously, "about that—"

"Ema!"

Both of heads turn to look at the person who just called out for Ema. It was Leo in the flesh. I step aside as he is in front of Ema. Leo quickly grabs Ema by the hand and she was a little bit stunned that's why she didn't protest. Maybe the touch of Leo's skin to her is electrifying.

I just laugh a little as I look at Leo and Ema walking away. They look so perfect together—and to think that Leo is Lawrence's colleague at work.

I was about to go when I feel a hand grabbing my wrist. I turn around and saw Lawrence whose eyes are fuming in--- Anger and jealousy?

"What was that all about? Going to a party?" I can hear a growl.. A growl again?

"You're not the boss of me!" I jerk my hand away and proceed on ignoring him

"Oh I am, Claire!"

Suddenly I was carried in a bridal style. I immediately cover my face with the sleeves of my shirt. I couldn't react furthermore because if I react—my face will be seen and so I let Lawrence carry me away from the crowd of students.

Damn it.

"P-put me down behind your car." I demand him and he just chuckles deeply

"I'm not going to, Claire. You're not going to that party without my permission." He replies, "I'll drive you home from now on."

"WHAT?! ARE YOU INSANE?!"

"I'm not. You are my priority forever."

Uh.

"W-why me?" I feel myself settling on the passenger seat of his car. He closes the door and goes around the car to the driver's seat.

I hear the engine running and the accelerators being stomped.

"Lawrence!" I call out his name

He's driving too fast!

We are on the way to my house and Lawrence's knuckles are turning white. My heart is beating is so fast! It's like he is angry or irritated!

"Lawrence! Please! Stop!" I plead and plead, "Lawrence!"

He isn't listening to me!

Beep beep beep!

"Lawrence!"

A flash of blazing light.
