"That means you are going to live with me starting now."

What? Wait a second.

"H-huh? Are you crazy?" I blink my eyes a few times and I grit my teeth, "haha this is hilarious. Sorry, Mr. Silvers, but I want to be with my father.. I don't know why I am feeling like I want you so bad—"

Why did I even say that?

He chuckles and stands up to approach me. The seat that I am currently sitting on has leaned backwards. I just gulp and close my eyes. I feel so petrified right now.

I stare deep into his hazel eyes. They are so alluring and I am caught up in a bewitching trance. His eyes held mine and I hold my breath, unable to resist his attractiveness. He is so good-looking.

He smirks at me and lifts my chin using his index and thumb. I am trembling by his touch. His skin is electrifying. Why am I feeling like this?

"Miss Claire Evans.. You are MINE, you got that?" He claims and I get nervous. His voice is like a record that I can play over and over again.

Now I remember the dream.. He was in my dream.. The dream I had earlier.. Why has he in my dreams?

Now I recalled why I came here.

"Um, can you give these to my dad?" I nervously raise the box of lunch and he raises an eyebrow, "p-please?"

He leans back and sighs. He goes to a telecom placed on his desk and pushes the button. He runs his fingers through his messy but attractive black hair. His suit is really high-end as well.

"Send someone to pick George Evans' pack of lunch immediately." He orders from the other line while staring deeply at me, "make it quick."

My heart is beating so fast.. This is very dangerous. I should be going.

"I-I should be going.. Thank you, Mr. Silvers."

I stand up and was about to walk when suddenly he pulls my wrist firmly and strongly.

"No." Was all he said and I swear my mind is fogged with a little bit of fury on why he is acting like this.

"Please, I need to go." I stare right into his eyes with authority

"N-no.." It is like he is pleading. I don't know why I have this intense attraction for him.

This is too dangerous. I need to get away as possible. I can't simply fall in love with a man I just met a while ago. This is outrageous!

Seconds later, I see dad talking to Leo while entering the office. Dad snaps his head toward me and smile. His eyes immediately went to Lawrence's grip on my wrist. I can tell it ain't good. I can see the rage in his eyes because it isn't pleasing to see your only daughter being touched by a man.

Even though Lawrence was the boss, he immediately got the message and let go of my hand but his eyes never left me. It made me blush harder though. I had to avoid facing him or else I would be in shame.

I feel Lawrence taking his seat on his leather swivel chair while dad follows his gaze at him. Leo is just standing right beside the main door feeling awkwardly tensed.

"Boss, I want to have a day-off if it's okay with you." Dad steps forward

"Yes, sure. You have been working hard for the past days because of this certain project and you deserve it." Lawrence smiles a little and proceeds on writing and scribbling on paper works, "you can be dismissed."

I turn around to face dad and he grabs me by the hand and we exit from the office. I know—dads are overprotective over their daughters and I understand that.

But how come I am missing Lawrence already? It is like I am going to die without him by my side.. This is just too overwhelming.

I just got off from human work and now I am currently running in the woods of my territory in wolf form. I haven't been letting Eadin take over for two days now and he was dying to shift.

'I want Claire..' My wolf whimpers and I growl

'She is human. It's hard.' Why did the moon goddess choose her? I mean, I'm not angry or disappointed.. I'm just surprised.

I jump away from big roots and rock boulders. I howl when I reached the border that has another pack territory on the other side. I raise my wolf head on the night sky and howl.

'I will get her.' I growl between my teeth, 'she is mine.'

I slowly circle around a spot and sit on it. The tall grass is caressing my grey fur. My mind is aching for Claire. I really miss her. This is what it is to have a mate but it is really different from other wolves because my mate is.. A human.

I have been mateless for three years and now that I have found her I will never let her go. She is my everything now..

'Hey Lawrence, where are you?' A wolf mind-links me and I growl in frustration

'Call me ALPHA, Leo.'

'Pft, we have been friends for a long time! Just consider it as an exception. So! She was your mate, right? A human?'

'Yes.'

'She really is beautiful you know.'

'Don't talk to my mate like that.' I respond with power and anger. How dare he speak to my mate that she is beautiful?!

'Woaw! Sorry, Allllpphhaaaa. I forgot how intimate a mate bond is haha.'

'It's because you still haven't found yours.'

'It will come, Alpha, it will come.' He chuckles, 'I heard that you want her to live with you. Were you insane? You live in a pack house full of wolves. She would really freak out.'

'I'm just crazy over her but I want to let things flow slowly.' I can tell I just lied. I want this to rush.

Oh sh*t. I want Claire right now!
