《The Waitress and Her Alpha》Dumpster Diver

"Fuck." I whisper to myself looking at the fear covered face of Jessica. Her chest rising and falls quickly forcing herself back into Daniel. I try to turn my head to see what she sees, but Adrian keeps me forward setting his jaw to fight against me.

"Release her."

My body shivers, his voice is beyond what I have heard before, something dark and dangerous that works its way to my spine, "Are you sure Alpha? She is terrified-"

"Release her. She need not fear of me. You on the other hand," I hear the click of his tongue and the tap of his feet. The guard lets go of my arms letting me turn to him. My eyes widen at the sight, and I have to keep myself planted before I run.

His normal golden eyes are completely black, no irises in sight, black veins raised over his skin, and his height seems taller than normal. Talons slip from his fingers, the claws reflecting against the sun sending small rays across the alleyway. My breath catches, the smell of dumpster long forgotten as he approaches me, each step one with purpose.

"Please no." My cries are ignore, I turn on my heel heading towards Jess, but she screams at me shaking her head violently. Daniel yanks her back, the rough hands of Ares wrapping around my waist slamming me into him.

"I wouldn't run if I were you, wolves love the chase." He grits out against my ear his mouth moving against my throat to nibble at me. I almost vomit at the idea that he has his mouth on me after I spent time in a dumpster, but he doesn't seem to care. I feel the prick of his canines against my collar, the memories of the barista's bite mark running over me.

"Ares. Ares please." Jessica cries with me trying to dig into Daniel. I see the familiar build of Josh enter the alleyway, snatching Jess from the guard to pull her into him. He seems more in control of himself, only his pupils black as he takes in her smell.

"You don't get too beg."

I try to catch my feet on the ground to fight against him, but his strength is too much dragging me across the wet concrete. Jessica is in the same boat kicking and fighting against him. The two guards follow closely behind, neither making eye contact with us.

I wrap my hands through his shirt gripping against him tightly. A couple tinted vehicles sit on the side both of us heading in the direction of one, "I'm sorry, please just let me go."

My pleas fall on deaf ears, body shoved into the car the resounding lock coming through. I look outside to see Jess put into the other, Ares taking the passenger seat. A male driver looks over the road pulling out as soon as he can.

"I know we fucked up, but please Ares." He raises a hand, his black eyes turning back to glare.

"You will not speak."

"I do what I want!" The anger bubbles over, the fear addicting to my fire tongue.

"And that will get you chained to my bed with no sight of the sun. Decide what you want." His promise silences me, I lean back into the seat my eyes burning from the smell, at least that's what I tell myself.

Ares pulls me from the car, nothing soft about his touch like it once was. So much for him being a dream.

The manor from before comes into view, me being drug up the porch and into the building as quick as my shorter legs allow. No sight of Jessica, however, but I keep my lips together deciding it's best to wait until whatever this is subsides.

His room is our final destination, me being set in the middle of the space while he goes to lock the door slipping the key into his front pocket. I give a glance to the window, fresh panes with no way to open now in place, different than before.

"Take a shower, and then we will talk." He throws his wallet onto the desk unbuttoning his shirt. I watch the ripple of his muscles when he moves, his veins shifting through his skin as he walks, "Either take a shower, or deal with the consequences. And trust me, you aren't ready for such things."

"Mr. Gray-" I reach my hand out testing the waters, he turns to me quickly, a blur in my eyes. The anger that comes from his face, the determination that's set in his jaw, and even the way he holds his shoulders send me running into the bathroom. He's far scarier than anything I had dealt with before, and I hadn't prepared myself for such a reaction.

I let the hot water burn my skin and use the new shampoo's that sit in the basket of the shower. Thank you for the sweet smells, I want to call out, but I know that now isn't the time and flattery isn't going to get me any less murdered.

The water stops falling over me when I tug the handle off, the cool air runs over my skin forcing me to exit and wrap a plush towel around me. I click off the lights, walking to the closet, Ares leaning into a chair shirtless, his belt undone with a cigar hanging from his lips. His shoes are still on, hair messy from stress. Fuck that's hot.

I grab a random sundress pulling it over myself using the towel I had on my body to wrap my hair. Keeping my feet bare, I walk back out and sit on the ground in front of him crossing my legs under the skirt to warm myself. He looks down at me, studying my smaller frame. The veins have subsided, his eyes back to normal. The only thing that stays is the talon like nails while he scraps them against the side of the desk in a simple pattern.

"You know what this means, Veronica."

"Ares-"

"Listen." He puts out the cigar, leaning forward with his hands together over his knees, hair falling over his eyes, "How long have you known?"

"Known?"

"You wouldn't have thought to enter the dumpster and hide your scent if you didn't have an idea. One too many romance stories?" I blush at his accusation, and try not to give away the truth.

"It was almost obvious... not like your pack tried to hide it. It wasn't until I heard Daniel," He raises a hand stopping me before I could continue.

"Do not speak another mans name right now. I'll rip their head off." Is wasn't a possibility, it is a fact.

"-The guard that found us talking with the other that confirmed it." I run my hands over my face, trying not to cry one again at the new fears that have settled. This wolf man could rip my head off my shoulders with just a slight movement of his hand, and yet I slept with him.

"Confirmed what? Veronica. What have you known and haven't just fucking asked me about?"

"You're a wolf. Like the shifters." My voice is barely above a child being scolded. I run my fingers together playing with my thumbs to ignore his piercing gaze.

"Mm." He gets off the chair to move to the floor crossing his legs in front of me, "Do you know that means, love." His long arm reaches out messing with the end of my towel.

"Yes?" I lean into his smell, his hand laying itself against the side of my neck. I try to stay calm and keep my breathing even. He leans in as well taking in a deep breath. I see a smile of appreciation at my more clean smell.

"You aren't going anywhere." I try to push away from him, his head coming in close. He tightens his hold on my neck pulling me more into him. I kick and fight, my heart beating against my ribs when his teeth land against collar.

"Ares. Please no." I push against his chest, his canines teasing me. My body want this, it wants it so bad that not only am I fighting against him, I am fighting against the inner turmoil.

"You can be mad at me as long as you need baby," He nibbles once more, "But I can't lose you like that again."

He finds the soft spot, my insides melts and core heating at the touch of his tongue. I feel my body react leaning into him begging for more of the pleasure the simplest touch of his can bring me. He positions his teeth, getting one more taste before he bites deep into my neck. I scream for air fighting as hard as my weak body lets me. The darkness overwhelms my brain, his hold tight on me. Isn't that supposed to be pleasurable?

"When you accept the bond, yes, but here... no." He seems regretful, and I hadn't known I said it aloud. I watch the specks come over my vision, his arms taking me in. The moment my body leans against him an explosive energy racks over my body taking any last air I have and throwing it away, "Do you feel that, love. That's what I feel all the time."

"What have you done?"

I catch the last glimpse of his regretful eyes, "Keeping you with me."
