Finally, Rosalia and Ermanno are face to face for the first time.
So without any delay, let’s find out their reactions.😃😃
Who is excited here???🥳🥳
🍂🍂🍂🍂🍂🍂🍂
His eyes were a mix of green and blue, blue a little more prominent than green, surrounded by fairly long and thick lashes, any girl would die to have. His jaw bones were so sharp, adorned by a five o’clock shadow. A straight, aristocratic nose and a set of soft and plump lips complemented his features.
My staring session was broken by his swoon-worth, deep and husky voice, “Bellisima.”
(Gorgeous)
I blinked my eyes to clear my hazy mind and tilting my head a little to my right, I asked him, “You said something?”
He spoke again, “Buongiorno, belliza.”
(Good Morning, beautiful)
I frowned at him and spoke in a small voice, “I am sorry but I am not getting what you are saying.”
Raising his perfect set of eyebrows, he asked me in a little surprised tone, “You don’t know italian?”
I shook my head at him. He nodded and told me, “I was just wishing you a good morning.”
I made an ‘o’ shape with my lips and greeted him back, “Good morning to you too.”
He nodded at me in acknowledgement and pulled out a chair, indicating me to sit with his head. I quietly took the seat. I was being a little cautious not to make him angry on anything. Who knew what He could do? He sat on the head of the table, which happened to be next to mine.
The table was occupied with mouth watering breakfast. There was cornetti, baked eggs and sausages, pancakes, cannoli and frittatas. I waited for him to serve himself so that I could devour the delicious looking breakfast. It didn’t help that I had not eaten anything since yesterday, which added fuel to my hunger.
But I was surprised to see that instead of serving himself, he started filling my plate. I stared at him wide-eyes, to which he just shrugged and gestured me to eat. I shakily took hold of my fork and knife, and started eating. Seeming satisfied, he served himself and stared off with his breakfast. Francesca served him black coffee and asked me what I would like to have. I mumbled cappuccino, to which she nodded with a smile.

I was confused. How could a monster behave like a gentleman? For all I knew, it could be a facade. But why would he need to pretend? I needed to be careful with him. I could not forget my mission. I had to get away from that betrothal, without any harm on anyone. My mission was to break the alliance. He might be extreme handsome, but looks could be deceiving. It could not conceal his nature or his monstrosity. Besides. I loved Albert and I would only marry him.
Divulged in my thoughts, I kept toying with my food. Ermanno’s voice brought me out of my zoned out state, “Why are you not eating? Don’t you like it? Tell me whatever you want to have, I will have the chef whip it for you.”
Composing myself quickly, I replied, “No, don’t worry. It is good.”
He asked me, “Then why are you not eating anything?”
I sighed, “I was just lost in my thoughts. That’s it!”
“Care to share,” raising his perfect eyebrows, he said to me.
I shook my head and told him, “Nothing important. Just missing mama and dad.”
It was not a complete lie. I really missed them.
He suggested me, “You can call them.”
I replied, “Yeah! I will, after breakfast.”
He nodded at me and resumed eating. I also followed the suit. The food was really tasty and I did the over-eating. Not that I minded!
After finishing his meal, he got up and told me that he will meet me at dinner. He was leaving for some urgent work. I did not dare ask him what work. It would not take a genius to guess the answer.

After the hearty breakfast, I went to my room and called my parents. They asked me about my meeting with Ermanno and my life here. I kept my conversation short, just I informing them about the necessary details.
After that, I decided to read some e-books. My mind was hell-bent on reminding me the tragic event that had changed my life 180 degree. And, I wanted to forget about it for sometimes. It felt like I would explode with all the negative thoughts and sadness. So, what could be a better escape than books. I took a seat on the window sill and dived into the novel.

I was too engrossed in the book I was reading that I lost the track of time. When I looked at the clock on the wall, I was shocked to see, it was nearing the lunch time. But, I guess it was not new to me. I often got immersed in my books to loose the sense of time.
After streching my body, to relax the sore muscles from sitting in the same position for too long, I headed towards the kitchen. I found Francesca ordering around. I asked her if I could be of any help, to which she refused vehemently. She instead asked what I would like for lunch. I was really craving for Alfredo pasta, so I told her my wish.
Nodding at me, she ordered the chef to prepare it for me. By the time, I sat with her and chatted. She mostly told me about Ermanno, how she was the one who took care of him after his parents death, when his nonno was not around. His parents were also murdered in cold blood. She told me that he respected her like a mother. She also confessed that she really liked me for Ermanno, that I was a suitable match for him. However, I couldn’t help but disagree with her last statement. But, I did not mention any of it to her.
The pasta was prepared quickly and I devoured it in no time. I had to give the credit to Ermanno, that his chef really had a magic in his hands. He cooked everything amazing.
After gobbling down my lunch, I decided to look around the mansion. I had nothing productive to do, so why not explore around a little bit? Although Francesca wanted to help me in my tour, I refused her. She already had so much chores to take care of.
She reluctantly agreed, but cautioned me not to go anywhere near the room across mine. It belonged to Ermanno and he forbade everyone to enter inside it, without his permission. He liked his privacy.
I didn’t plan on dying so young, so I agreed to her immediately. I really wanted to stay clear of him.
🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
I looked around the mansion. It was truly magnificent and elegant. If the circumstances were opposite, and he would not had been in a Mafia, I would had definitely planned to stay here for a very long time. It was like a castle in fairytales.
Huge, antic paintings decorated the walls. I had failed to notice the huge painting of Ermanno in the middle of the wall of the hall, when I had came here first. He looked so regal in it, so masculine.
In the long corridor, many other picture frames of different sizes were hung. There were pictures of him with an old man, who seemed quite authoritative for his age. He must be his grandfather. There were also pictures of a young couple in their late twenties. I guessed them to be his parents. There was also a picture of other people, which I failed to recognise.
I explored more. When I reached the far end of the hall, I accidentally put my finger on a small button, which I had failed to notice was there, until then. It was so smartly blended with the wall colour.
But more astonishing was that the walls parted and on looking closely, I concluded that it was an elevator.
As much as my gut feeling was telling me to stay away from the object, my curious self wanted to know, where it led to. You know, curiosity killed the cat!
I went inside. There was only one button, so I pressed it and the elevator started descending.
Different scenarios invaded my mind, but I was never prepared for the sight which greeted my eyes!
