Daire's pov-

"This color looks amazing on you, Darry," Willow giggles as she sits and paints my toenails. I groan and run my hand down my face.

"I mean she's not wrong, baby," Jeremiah said from on the floor. He had Venus in between his legs and was playing with her. I shoot him a glare to make him shut up but he just laughs at me. I roll my eyes and look at Wilow who had a cute focused look on her face.

After a few minutes, Willow sits up straight and picks up my feet. "Oh my god, it's so cute," She said. "We should do this more often," She said before crawling over to me and kissing my lips.

I smile at her and look at the alarm clock on her bedside table. My eyes widen at the time. "Shit, baby, I got to go," I said lightly pushing her away. She frowns and looks at me. "You said you don't have work until Friday and it's only Wednesday." She looks at Jeremiah and back at me. "It is Wednesday, right? And Spring break isn't almost over that quickly?"

I grab my puffer jacket and nod my head. "Yeah, baby, it's only Wednesday but me and Jeremiah have to meet someone and then we'll be right back," I said grabbing my shoes. "Let's go, Jerry, "I mumble under my breath.

He sighs and stands up with Venus in his hands. He hands her to Willow before also grabbing his coat and shoes and grumpily walking over to me.

"We'll be back in a few hours," I said grabbing Jeremiah's shirt and pulling out of the room and out of the house.

We walk over to his car and I get in the passenger seat. I watch as Jeremiah grumpily gets in beside me. "I'm starting to worry you love my kid more than I do," I told him. He shrugs his shoulders and starts up the car. "I really don't wanna meet up with Vince," He mumbles. "Especially since this may be our last time."

"Jeremiah, we have to," I said looking at the passing building and trees. "I can't keep doing drug orders anymore, or doing those types of drugs. I'm a dad now and I want to be the best dad for Venus." Jeremiah groans and leans back a little. "But we can still do weed, right you don't need no drug dealer for that."

"Well, duh I ain't giving up weed for nothing but we can't tell Willow about this, she doesn't even know about Vince."

Jeremiah finally pulls up to a house that were surrounded by cars. He parks the car and we both get out.

We walk up to the house and I knock.

A few seconds later someone opens the door and looks around curiously. "Who are you here for?" The bucky man asked. I look at Jeremiah who was standing behind me before looking back at the man. "Vince. We're here to see Vince," I said. He looks at me for a second before stepping back and letting us enter.

"Follow me," He said walking up the staircase. We follow behind him all the way to a room where Vince sat with a half-naked girl in his lap.

"Vince," I said getting his attention.

Vince looks over at us and smiles. "Take a break, baby," He said patting the girl's butt as she climbs off of him. He stands up and walks over to us. "Pretty boys, it's been too long," He said smirking at us.

Vince was a tall well-built man covered in tattoos. He was missing an eye from surgery for cancer he had when he was a kid. He had a few gold teeth and smelt of weed all the time. He was a very imitating person that could easily break me in half if he wanted to.

"We came to ask you a big favor, Vince," I said gulping a bit.

"You want to stop working for me right?" He asked. I frown and look over at Jeremiah in disbelief. "How did you know?" I asked. He shrugs with a smug look on his face. "I know you just had a little girl, Daire. And most men who worked for me asked to stop working for me when they had babies. I already know you want to be a better man for your baby and teenager wife."

I sigh and run my hand through my hair.

"I understand, if I was a dad I would probably want to do that too," He said standing up and walking over to his desk. He pulls out a bag of cocaine and walks over to us. "I know why you don't want to work for me anymore pretty boy, but Jeremiah why do you want to stop?" He asked sticking a finger in the bag and sucking on it.

Jeremiah shrugs his shoulder and sits down on the couch. "Just supporting a friend," He mumbles.

"Unforualey, Jerry, that's not a good enough reason," He said. "Want some weed?" He asked. I sigh and look at Jeremiah whose leg was uncontrollable. "Um-I still can, can't I?" He asked Vince. Vince nods his head and pulls a pack of weed out of his pockets. "62 dollars, please," He asked holding his hand out?

Jeremiah hands him a $100 dollar bill. "Keep the change," He said taking the bag of weed.

"We have to go now," I said grabbing Jeremiah's arm and pulling him up. "I have somewhere to be," I said dragging Jeremiah to the door. "Um, see you whenever, I guess," I said walking us out the door and downstairs and out the door.

I pull him towards the car and push him near his door. I open the passenger door and climb into the car. Jeremiah gets in and shuts the door behind him. "Where is that important place you need to be?" He asked as he backed out of the driveway.

"To Janice's place," I mumble looking out the window.

20 minutes later we were parked outside the apartment building and I was making my way up the stairs to my old apartment.

I take a deep breath and look over at Jeremiah. He was standing against the car and gives me a thumbs up. I grin a bit before knocking on the door. And to my surprise, Amy, Hayes's wife opens the door.

She smiles largely at me and opens the door wider.

"Hey, Amy," I said unsurely. The woman looked like shit. Her hair looked like a bird's nest her makeup was smudged and she had bruises all over her arms and on her cheek. She also had a few cuts here and there.

"Hi, Daire, it's really good to see you," She said looking me up and down and biting her lip.

"Is Janice and Alfred here?" I asked. She breaks out of whatever daze she was in and nods her head before stepping back to let me in. As soon I step into the house the smell of weed costumed me. I cough a bit and swap the air.

"Mom?" I said walking into the living room. Janice was sitting on the couch braiding Colby's hair with a cigarette in her mouth. Hayes was sitting on the computer and turns to me. "Hey, Frost," He said. "We've missed you after what a year," He laughed.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Janice asked.

I gulp down my saliva before speaking. "I came to see you," I said looking at Alfred who was sitting next to Janice eating Ramen noodles. He smirks at me and I grin awkwardly at him. "It's good to see you, Frost, how's the baby?" He asked.

"Baby?" Hayes said standing up from his chair. "You mean the baby Gravity's having?" "No, Daire's girl was pregnant the last time we spoke to him that was months ago, so I was thinking he had the baby by now," He said.

"Uh, yeah we had a little girl," I said.

"Wow, congratulations, Frost, I would love to meet the mother of your child and the baby," Hayes said smirking at me.

I shake my head at him. "You can't meet them in person, but I have a few pictures of them," I said taking out my phone. I open my Photos app and press on a picture I took of Willow and Venus a few days ago. I hand the phone to Hayes and he takes it.

"What a babe," He said looking at the picture. "And look at those eyes," He mumbles zooming into the picture. "And look at that baby, it looks like you, Frost," He said handing the phone to Xander who stood next to him. "Woah dude you got yourself a nice one," He mumbles.

Xander hands it to Janice who only glances at the photo before handing it to Alfred.

"She's cute, they both are," He said handing me the phone back.

Janice stands up and pushes Colby to the side. "Well thank you for stopping by," She said crossing her arms over her chest and glaring at me. "You have a lovely family to get back to," She said rolling her eyes at me. I nod my head and look at Colby who hasn't said anything to me since I got here.

I bend down to her level and stroke her cheek. "Hey, Minnie mouse," I said. She smiles at me before looking down at her lap. "What's wrong?" I asked her. She stares at me for a second before sighing. "You don't visit anymore," I mumble. "I know but I'm here now," I said. "But it's like you only come here every few months."

I kiss her forehead and smile at her. "I promise in a few days I would come back for you and let you meet Venus," I said.

"Venus? Who's Venus?" Hayes asked.

"My daughter," I said.

Colby smiles at me and wraps her arms around my neck. I wrap my arms around her and squeeze her tightly. "Okay, count five days and I promise you can meet her," I said standing up.

"I have to go," I said.

I walk out the door and down the stairs. I run into the family's dogs on the way. I bend down to greet them and catch behind their ears. I stand back up and walk over to Jeremiah's car where he wasn't.

I look around but can't find him anywhere.

I look over to one of the apartments and find him flirting with a girl.

"Jeremiah, get your ass over here," I yelled at him. Jeremiah looks up at me and groans. He whispers something to the girl and hands her a piece of paper before walking over to me. "She's hot, isn't she?" He said when he was close enough to me.

"She's 16 or 17 and you're 22, that's illegal buddy," I smirked at him getting in the car. His eyes widen and he gasps. "You fucking kidding," He said getting in the car. "Nah, bro she used to babysit Colby a few years ago," I chuckle buckling up my seatbelt.

"Shit man, damn," He said.

I laugh loudly as he drives off.
