I look down at my schedule and look around the hallway. I bite my lip and walk over to my locker that's been mine since freshman year. I unlock the locker and unpack my yellow backpack.
"Willow."
I turn around to see Ashlynn walking up to me with a large smile on her face. "I'm so glad that you came," She said. I blush and look down at my shoes. "I'm glad I came to but it was really hard for me to leave Venus," I said shutting my locker.
Ashlynn hooks her arms with mine and smiles. "I had to stay up all night pumping some milk for Venus," I said groaning. "I'm so freaking tired," I mumble dragging my feet. Ashlynn chuckles and rubs my arms. "Let me see your schedule," She said taking the paper from my hands. "Yay lucky us we have 3rd and 5th period together and lunch thankfully," She said.
I smile and stop outside of the chemistry door. "Well this is my stop," I said looking back at Ashlynn. She smiles and gives me a hug. "I love you see you in an hour," She said. She turns and walks away. I smile at her retreating form before turning towards the door and opening it.
I walk inside and luckily it was barely any students in the classroom.
I take a seat in the third row and unpack my backpack. I sigh and look around the room. I haven't been to school in months. It felt odd but familiar. I smile to myself and open my notebook and write my name in cursive and put hearts around it.
My phone vibrates on the desk and I pick it up to see a text message from Jeremiah. He was babysitting Venus since Daire and Daddy had to work this morning and Carter had classes. If I'm being honest I didn't really feel comfortable leaving Jeremiah with Venus. It's not that I didn't trust Jeremiah because Jeremiah is one of the top 10 people I trust even if he was a little too flirty sometimes. But I wasn't comfortable with leaving anyone with Venus that wasn't me or Daire. I just wasn't comfortable leaving Venus.

I look at the text and smile. It was a cute picture of Jeremiah kissing Venus's cheek. I text back a quick reply and place my phone down.
"Willow?"
I look to see Cornelius standing over me. I smile up at him and give him a small wave. "Hi, Cornelius," I said. "How are you?" He blushes and sits down next to me. "I'm fine, how are you?" He asked. I smile and tilt my head. "I'm doing good, I had a baby a few weeks ago," I said licking my lips.
He smiles big at me. "That's amazing, what did you have?"
"A girl, We named her Venus Daire Frost," I said happy to talk to someone new. Cornelius smiles and nods. "Congratulations," He mumbles. "I'm very happy you're back," He said. I smile at him and nod. "Me too."
The bell rings after that and everyone enters the room in a hurry.
A strict-looking woman steps into the room and slams her books on the desk. She stands up straight and looks angrily around the room. "Welcome back everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful summer vacation but now it's time to learn, especially since most of you would be graduating this year."
She turns around and writes her name on the board. "My name is Mrs.Evans and I'll be your homeroom teacher," She said. She looks around the room and then points at a boy. "You passed out these papers. I want to see what each of you know and what you need to know."
The boy hands me the paper and I take a good look at it. I wasn't that good at Chemistry but I wasn't as bad as I was at math. I knew most of the things on this paper but the rest seemed like a different language.
I do the best I can on the rest of the paper and finish just as Mrs. Evans's timer goes off. I sigh in relief and turn to Cornelius and smile. "I did my best," I said. He nods and runs his hand through his hair. "Me too," He said. "That was tough like a test," He whispers laughing. I giggle and hand my paper to the boy.

After a few minutes, Mrs. Evans stacks the papers together and looks around the room. "Now that I collected everyone's paper I think it's time for us to start the lesson," She said turning to the board.
An hour later the bell Finally rings making me sigh in relief. I pack my things and stand up. I turn to Cornelius and smile. "What's your next class?" I asked. He digs in his pocket and pulls out a piece of paper. "Umm Math," He said. "Dang I have Biology next," I said pouting. Cornelius chuckles and ruffles my hair. "See you later, Willow."
I smile and begin walking away but Mrs.Evans calls out to me.
"Ms.Aburn can I have a word with you?"
I turn around and smile at her. "Yes ma'am," I mumble stepping towards her. She smiles at me and grabs my hand. "How are you, dear?" She asked. I bit my lip nervously and look down at our hands. "I'm fine." She frowns and rubs my arm. "Everything will be fine. Motherhood is hard for anyone, especially a teen mother." I raised my eyebrows and chuckle nervously. "I know."
"Is the father still around?" She asked.
I nod my head slowly and look at her cautiously. "Daire and I are happily together and raising our daughter with each other," I told her.
She smiles at me sympathetically. "I'm really happy for you," She said. "And you did really good on the pre-test, I'm very glad you did. That means you have a great future as a teen mom."
"Thanks, but I should really get to class," I said backing away slowly. "Oh yes, you should." She smiles. "And if you need I'm always here for you, dear," She told me. I smile and turn and rush away.
I walk quickly away from that classroom feeling uncomfortable. I was walking so fast that I wasn't paying attention and bumped into someone's chest. I nearly fall but the person grabs my waist stopping me from falling. "Well if it isn't Mrs.Frost bumping into my boyfriend."
I step away from the person's chest and look at them. My eyes widen when I notice I had bumped into Troy. I look beside him and see Amber smiling at me. She was wearing a pink crop top and white jean shorts. She smiles up at Troy and back at me.
"I'm sorry, Troy, I didn't mean to," I said looking down at my shoes.
"He knows you didn't, you were simply in a rush and didn't see where you were going," She said. She looks me over and tilts her head to the side. "I love that sweatshirt, it looks good on you," She said pulling on my shirt.
"It isn't mine," I said. "It's Daire's," I mumble under my breath.
Amber scoffs in a cute way and looks at Troy. "They share clothes, isn't that cute," She said. Troy nods and smirks down at her. She looks back at me and grins. "Well it's nice to see you and congratulations on the baby, you looked good pregnant." She grabs Troy's hands and walks away.
I look at her retreating figure and let out a breath I didn't know I was holding.
The bell rings making me jump. I squeal and rush off to class.
