"Are you sure you're feeling alright?" Daddy asked as he stands at the front door. I smile and nod my head. "Yes, daddy, I'm fine, now go on your date," I said pushing at his chest. "But you've been getting cramps all day," He said gripping the wall. I groan and roll my eyes. "I've been getting cramps my entire pregnancy it's nothing now go," I said.
He sighs and steps away. "If anything happens call me," He said grabbing Amber's hand and walking away.
I sigh and close the door. I turn around to see Daire staring at me. "What?" I asked. He looks me up and down and frowns. "Graham's right, your cramps aren't normal," He said. I sigh and waddle past him. "I'm fine, the baby's not due for another week or so," I said walking to my room.
Daire follows close behind me. "But me and my sisters were born two weeks early," I said. "Yeah well me and my brothers were born a few days late," I said walking to my bed and laying down. I sigh and rub my stomach. "So, that means the baby can come at any time," He said climbing into the bed next to me. He lays next to me and rubs my stomach too. "I'm fine, but I won't be if you don't let me see my baby's room," I said staring at him.
He smirks and kisses my neck. "Okay fine, but don't tell anybody I did," He said climbing out of bed.
I get off the bed and follow behind him.
We walk across the hall to Levi's old room. He places his hand on the doorknob and turns to me. "Now I don't know if this is what you had in mind, but when Graham described your idea this is what I picture," He twisted the door knob but stops again. "Now you can't tell your dad I showed you this room without him. So when he shows you the baby room in a few days you have to act surprised."
I stomp my feet and groan. "Come on, Daire let me see the room," I said.
He smirks and twists open the door. He grabs my hands and pulls me inside the room.
I gasp at the sight.
"It's wonderful," I said as walk deeper into the room. "My dolls would look perfect here," I said running my fingers on the window seat. "Levi kept pillows here and would watch tv and play games here with his friends," I said. "Now I can sit here with my baby." I smile and look up at him.
I rub my stomach. "No matter the gender of the baby, their color would be yellow and grey," I said as I pick up my old yellow baby blanket. "I think the colors go well with each other, plus yellow looks good on everyone," I said.
Daire chuckles and wraps his arms around my waist. He places his chin on my shoulder and rubs my stomach. "Yeah, but we should get out of here before your dad or Carter gets home," He said taking my hand and walking me back to my room.

He lays me back on the bed and covers me back up. "I'm going to make you some vegetable soup," He said. He stands up and walks to the door. "It probably makes you feel better," He said walking out of the room.
I grab my stuffed monkey Daisy and hug her to my chest. Daire wanted me to put Daisy in the nursery with my dolls. But I honestly didn't want to. I couldn't bring myself to give Daisy to the new baby. I knew she'll make a great addition to the new nursery. But that wasn't going to change my mind. Daisy was and mine to keep.
I gasp and jump up clutching my stomach. Another cramp but it was worse than any of the cramps I have been getting lately. I grab some painkillers from the side table and grab a water bottle. I quickly take some painkillers and drink some water.
I yawn and take out my tablet. I press Disney plus and turn on a movie and lay down and drift off to sleep.
I woke up the next morning to the worse pain I've ever felt in my entire life. I sit up and squeeze my eyes shut trying to wait until the pain passes. I sigh in relief when the pain disappears. I groan and wipe the sweat that was dripping from my forehead. I look over next to me to see Daire fast asleep.
I climb out of bed and walk over to my closet and take out an outfit. I walk out of the room and to the bathroom.
I take a quick shower and get dressed.
I walk to the kitchen where daddy and Carter were sitting drinking coffee. "Good morning," I said sitting down in my pink cushion seat. Daddy frowns at me and looks at his watch. "You're up early," He said. I nod and run my hand through my hair. "I know I'm not feeling too good," I said wiping my eyes.
"I'm taking you to the hospital," Daddy said standing up. I grab his arm stopping him from going anywhere. "No, I'm sure it's nothing," I said. He shakes his head and twists his arm out of my grip. "No you've been experiencing some cramps or whatever for three days now and I can tell it's been getting worse," He said. "I'm taking you to the hospital and that's final," He said walking out the room.
I sigh and run my hand through my hair. "He's overreacting," I said. Carter shakes his head and takes a sip from his coffee. "I think he's right, these aren't normal cramps," He said.
A few moments later both Daddy and Daire were standing in front of me. Daire looked as if he was forced out of bed and just picked up the first thing he saw on the floor.
"I would be better if a doctor told me there was nothing to worry about," He said grabbing his keys and walking out the door.

I look at Daire who only shrugs at me and follows daddy. I sigh and follow behind them.
After 25 minutes of driving, we finally reach the hospital. I only felt a little pain on the ride here it was nothing extreme. Daire helps me out of the car and leads me into the building.
"Daddy, I said I was fine," I said grabbing onto daddy's arm, but at that exact moment, I feel a strike of pain hit me in the stomach. I clutch my stomach and squeeze my eyes shut. "You're not fine, look at you," He said walking over to the front desk.
I inhale slowly as my labor instructor told me to. I walk over to one of the seats and sit down. Daire walks over to me and rubs my back. "It's going to be fine I'm sure it's nothing major," He said. I nod my head and close my eyes as more pain rushes through me.
"Maybe I just need to go to the bathroom," I said. He nods and helps me stand up.
But I don't make it to the bathroom when I feel something pop and suddenly water was running down my leg. I look down in shock when a pool of water pours around my feet. I didn't actually have to pee so I had no idea what that was.
"Oh my god, sweetie your water just broke," A nurse said rushing over to me.
"What?" I gasped. "We need a room asap this woman will be giving birth soon," She said grabbing my arms and leading me to a wheelchair. Daire follows behind us. And he was freaking out. "Is she going to be okay?" He asked. "Yes but we need to hurry before the baby comes," She said.
"What's going on?" Daddy asked with Carter behind him.
"Willow's water broke she's going into labor or something," Daire said.
"Okay okay, I've been in this situation 3 times before," He inhales and exhales. "Okay, get her to a room what are we waiting for?" He said running down the hall.
A few hours later I was in a hospital bed eating a green popsicle with a baby still inside me.
I smile at Daire who was seated in the chair watching me. He was frowning not enjoying seeing me in pain at all. "I have to be in pain if I want to have my baby," I said sucking on the popsicle. "Plus the doctor said in about an hour or so before our baby is here," I said smiling. Daire shakes his head. "I'm never getting you pregnant again, we'll adopt next time," He grumbles. I giggle but then groan when I feel more pain.
Daire stands up and strokes my hair. "You're not fully dilated yet," He said rubbing my stomach. "But you're close and soon the baby will be here," He kisses my forehead and walk back to his seat.
The doctor walks into our room and smiles at me. "Let's see how far dilated you are," He said placing his clipboard down. He puts on some gloves and lifts up my covers. He sticks a few fingers inside me for a few seconds and removes them. "Okay, I'll say you are nine centimeters dilated, and the baby would be here, I'll say less than 35 minutes."
He smiles and walks out of the room.
"I hate that he sticks his fingers inside you," He grumbles. I roll my eyes and finish my popsicle. "He checking if I'm ready to have the baby," I said. He sighs and runs his hair through his messy hair. "I still don't like it," He mumbles.
I close my eyes and moan when I feel more pain. "I can't for this is over," I said moaning. I lay my head down on the pillow and inhale and exhale.
After 10 minutes of feeling unbearable pain, I grab the nurse button and press it repeatedly. Daire rushes over to me and tries to call me down. "Shh Shh, it's okay," He said stroking my damp hair.
Two nurses walk into the room and over to me. "What seems to be the problem?" One asked. I groan and fist some covers. "I think the baby's coming," I said. I don't know why but I just felt the need to push and I desperately wanted to. "I think I need to push," I moan. One of the nurses comes over to me and checks my dilation. "Okay this baby is coming any moment now," The nurse said. "Get the doctor."
I groan as I feel pressure in my abdomen. Tears were forming in my eyes from the pain. I could barely breathe, it was so unbearable.
The doctor rushes in and looks at me.
"Okay this baby is coming everyone prepare," He said putting his glove and mask on. He sits on his stool and sits in front of me. He spreads my legs and feels down there. "I can feel a head," He said. "I'm going to need you to push," He said.
I nod my head and start pushing. I scream and grab onto the bars of my bed. I fall back to the bed and let out a breath. "Darry," I whisper. Daire walks over to me and grabs my hand. "You're doing great, baby," He said kissing my forehead.
"Okay I need another push, Miss Aburn," The doctor said.
I squeeze Daire's hand as I try my best to push hard.
"Ugh, are they out yet," I groan. "Almost there Miss Aburn I just need one more big push," He said. I nod and push one last time and the room instantly feels with the cries of a baby.
"It's a girl."
