《Unwanted》Chapter 75

"I don't care what he says." My voice low and dark, staring directly at him. "You are not welcome in my land and I now ask kindly for you to leave."

"Orion-" Malia sighed, pulling back from the hug to look at me, pleading at me with her eyes.

"No, Malia. He's caused enough damage to the pack and he shouldn't be trusted, especially by you."

"I never said I trusted him. I forgave him for his actions."

"I still don't think you should have done that either." I muttered, pulling her back to my side. "Now please get off of my land before I get someone to do it for you."

"Orion! You're being so-"

"No, Malia. It's fine." Icarus cut her off, spiking my already annoyed nerves. He was disrespecting her, not allow her to speak. "I have done irreversible things. Hell I even helped in killing your mate and I have no idea how the hell he even came back! He should be dead because of me!"

"But you regret all of that now. You realize your mistakes and you're upset by your actions." Malia defended him but he shook his head, taking steps back.

"That doesn't reverse time, Malia. That doesn't take back actions or revive someone from the dead. I've killed people because I wanted to, not because I had to. I'm not like you. I'm not kind, I don't get along with people. I shouldn't even be here."

"Icarus, no-" Malia went to steps towards him but I reached for her hand, refraining her from moving forwards.

"I'm not a good person, Malia. Maybe one day I will be but I'm far from it right now. I don't belong here."

"I agree." I stepped forward, pushing my chin in the direction he should be going. "That's the closest way off my land." I watched in satisfaction as he turned around but Malia desperately called after him.

"Goodbye, Malia." He muttered without look back, transforming into his wolf and running off.

"You didn't have to be so rude to him." Malia said, storming into the house, Rebecca and I trailing not far behind her. "He feels bad enough as it is but then you had to keep acting all hostile."

"I know you don't understand my actions and I really don't want to fight with you." Walking up behind her, I wrapped my arms around her, my chest to her back. Placing a kiss on her head, I rested my head on top of hers.

"I don't want to fight with you either." She whispered.

"Then, while I'm speaking with Rebecca, try and calm down and then we will talk to each other."

"Okay." She muttered and I planted a kiss on her cheek.

"I'm sorry." I said, pulling her close to me. I watch as her mouth opened but I cut her off. "Don't you dare apologize. I was the one to upset you. You did nothing. It was all him."

"But-"

"But nothing. Now go relax and I'll be back down as soon as I'm done." I gave her a gentle kiss, which she returned, before I headed up the stairs to my office, Rebecca following suit.

Trailing into the kitchen, I filled up the water machine up and pushed the on button. It was quite fascinating to me. Orion's mom showed me that it heated up water and it can make tea or coffee if you put these cup things in it. It was so much quicker than putting water on the stove and having to wait for it to heat up.

The warm steam and calming aroma of mint infused green tea filled the air, making me smile. Whenever I was upset, Orion would make this for me to calm my nerves. Blowing the steam away, I took a slowly, tentative sip, letting the flavors slide across my tongue and down my throat.

Moving to the living room, I sat by the arm of the couch, pulling a blanket over my feet. With my mug in one hand and the remote in the other, I settled on a random movie that caught my attention. I enjoyed how the warmth of the mug seeped into my hands, adding to the relaxations and comfort the tea already gives me.

My eyes began to droop as I consumed my tea, only having a few sips left. The move just turned into background noise and I no longer paid attention to it, not that I understood what was happening when I first turned it on. Pulling the blanket over my shoulders and setting the mug onto the end table, I settled further into the plush couch. Stretching my feet out, I let out a sigh as my whole body went slack and turned warm from the blanket.

I was about to doze off until the shouting began. At first, it was just muffled yelling but then that was covered up by the sound of banging. When the shouting grew louder, so did my concern and I could no longer ignore it. Quickly standing up when I heard another bang, I swiftly made my way upstairs.

"Seriously?" Orion's angry voice asked. "After everything my parents did to you, after everything that I have done for you, you turn around and do this?"

"I know. I know and I'm sorry." Rebecca pleased and I could hear the immense sadness in her voice.

"If you were sorry than you shouldn't have kept doing it for so long."

"I didn't mean to! It was an accident! A mistake!"

"An accident? You don't just betray someone repeatedly, fully knowing what you are doing and that it is wrong, on accident."

"I know how bad it sounds and what I was doing so I stopped helping them. I even went against them today! I am the one who saved Malia today!"

"And you wouldn't have known what they were doing if you hadn't worked with them, which you were! You helped them try to take down the pack, the same pack which took you in and helped you."

I walked slowly down the hall until I approached the closed office door, the thick oak not doing anything to muffle their loud voices. I could hear Rebecca's sobs, which made my guilt intense. Orion's voice was fuming with anger and betrayal, making me want to go to his side and to support him. Slowly walking in the room, I caught the eyes of Orion's hate-filled glare.

"Just- I can't even look at you. "Just get out of here, please just leave."

"Orion, I'm sorry I-"

"Please." He whispered desperately. "Please, just go." His voice was broken and cracked, choking over his own words. I watched paralyzed as Rebecca ran past me with tears in her eyes.

"Orion." I whispered and slowly approached him, giving him a sideways hug.

"She betrayed me." He cried, slamming his fist against his desk. He turned and buried his head into my neck. "She betrayed me."
