'Please be safe.' I said in my mind, projecting my thought through the pack, imputing into the mind of another.

'I will." Blaire responded. 'They trust me. '

Orion cradled me close to his chest, his cheek resting on the top of my head. He refused to put me down, even after I insisting that I was fine after gaining feeling back in my feet. I was embarrassed that he carried me all the way back home in front of other people but I couldn't deny the warm feeling in my chest from his actions. I was thankful of his behavior but I was prideful of how strong he was, how my stamina he actually losses.

"You're always to keep me on my toes, aren't you?" He asked as soon as the door shut behind him, giving us privacy. Although the question seemed playful, his tone was not. He was serious but he wasn't angry.

"Umm.." I uttered and pushed against his chest to I could look up and see his face, his tone concerning.

"You scared me." His was was slowly turning a blotchy red and tears welded up in his eyes.

"I'm sorry." I spoke sincerely, wiping his tears away as the fell from his eyes and landed on his cheeks. "I didn't mean to."

He leaned forward, pressing his face further into my hands, closing his eyes and breathing in deep. He was silent for a few moments, leaving me alone to my thoughts. My anxiety build as his silence. I was afraid, nervous to what he was thinking about, if he was upset with me.

"I know." He muttered and kissed one my palms. "I still worried me when I had no idea where you were. It will always worry me when it's something that pertains to you."

"I know. I feel the same way when it's about you." I said and slid my hand from his cheeks to his hair, scratching his scalp lightly. I could feel his tense muscles relax around me and I could visibly see his jaw become more lax. It was a weakness of his that I discovered on night while cuddling in bed. I was fascinated by the look and feel of his hair and my temptation led me to play with his, accidentally coming across his obsession of me playing with his hair.

Groaning, his leaned his head down so I had better access. "You will be the death of me." He muttered.

"Probably." I tired to joke and lighten the mood.

"You're going to give me premature gray hairs." He said, joking back and I have out a small laugh.

"Most likely." I said, running my nails over his scalp once more, earning a low groan. His hands gripped at my waist which shifted my wet shirt uncomfortable.

"What even happened anyway?" He asks pulling at the wet material.

"Roxy lied to me and lured m into the woods for a bit of a chat. Icarus and I exchanged some words as well." I said, keeping it fairly vague.

"Then why are you all wet?"

"I was uh-" I paused and pulled at the skin tight material. I knew he would get worked up if I told him but I knew I had to. I just couldn't lie to him. "I was pushed into the river."

His eyes widened and he snapped his head away from my hand. His muscles balled up once more and he let out a low, guttural growl. Green turned to Blake as anger overcame his body. It was the angriest I've even seen him, my hand slowly shaking at my side but I wasn't afraid, just nervous.

"You were pushed into the river and you didn't ask me for help?" He spoke slowly, his voice deep. "Did you even try to tell anyone?"

I lowered my head in shame, unable to give the answer to wanted. I still wasn't used to being connected to the pack. The pack link didn't even cross my mind in my total panic. Regretfully, I shook my head for him, my eyes pointed down at the small puddle I was making on the floor from my clothes.

His hands grasped my face and titled it upwards. His eyes no longer black but they were still raging with emotion. Though he was relaxed now, his face still held a deep frown, indicating that he was still very much upset with my actions.

"You could have died." He whispered, his eyes softening with every word. Brushing the wet strands of hair from my face, his fingers got stuck in my knotted hair.

"I'm sorry." I whispered back, placing my hands over his own.

"Go get dried off and changed. I'll be down here. Come join me when you're done." He murmured and placed a kiss on my head, leaving and going down the hallway. I made my way up the stairs, cringing as the carpet turned mushy underneath my feet. Quickly, I grabbed a pair of clothes and made my way into the bathroom. Drying off towel, I changed into some shorts and one of Orion's sweatshirts. The brushed was no where in sight and I could do nothing to fix the matted mess on my head.

"Orion?" I called l, walking back down the stairs. All of the water had been cleaned up but the carpet was still slightly discolored from where the water used to be. "Where are you?"

"I'm in the living room, Sweetheart." Following the sound of his voice, it led me to the destined room. He was sitting on the couch, the television off and the brush I had been previously been looking for in his hands.

"Come sit down." He said, patting the couch beside him. "I want to apologize."

"For what?" I asked, sitting where he wanted me. He turned to so I was sideways on the couch, my back to him. He began to brush my hair with care, trying not to pull to hard and efficiently getting the knots out.

"I was a bit to harsh on you. I'm sorry for yelling at you."

"It's okay, in understand why you did it. You were just upset and worried at me. It's okay."

"No, no I overreacted and I'm sorry for that." He said, tilting my head to get more access to missed hair. "I did have reason to get upset but it was uncalled for. I should have never have gotten that angry. I'm sorry if I scared you."

"You didn't scare me. I know you wouldn't hurt me."

"That's not the point, even though I am glad that you know that I wouldn't hurt you. I never wanted you to see me like that." I heard him put the brush down on the table and I turned around. His hands were shaking on his legs and his face was pale.

"Are you okay?" I asked, reaching for his hands.

"I don't know what I would have done if I had lost you." His hands shook harder.

"Orion?" I asked holding his hands tighter. "What's wrong?"

"I haven't had the best experiences with that river." He sighed, flipping his hands over so he could hold mine properly. "A few years ago, my parents took another rouge into the pack. He was young, around six or seven. His name was Nikos. He was a bit annoying and loud, like most children are but I took a liking to him and him to me. I treated him like a little brother." He signed and placed his head down, avoiding my gaze.

"He was very adventurous, always causing havoc. One day, Ryland came over with his sister because at the time, Nikos didn't have anyone around his age to play with. He instantly took a liking to her and did a bunch of random things to try and impress her but they only made her giggle.

Something came up with Ryland and he had to leave, asking me watch his sister while he was gone. I agreed, thinking it wouldn't be that difficult. Nikos, trying to impress her again, snuck away from me while Ryland and I were talking. I was left to go and find them, thinking that they weren't far and we're playing hide and seek." His grasps on my hands turned tighter.

"That's when I heard the screams. Nikos jumped into the river and when he couldn't get out, she jumped in after to to try and help him." He paused for a long moment and a tear escaped his eye.

I only managed to save her." He whispered. "By the time I got to him, he was already gone. He had drowned."

"Orion." I whispered, pulling him into a hug. "It's not your fault."

"Yes it was." He cried into my shoulder, his own shaking as he sobbed. "I was supposed to be watching them and I failed."

"You saved one of them. It was just Nikos' time to be brought to the Moon Goddess." I said, lifting his his face and began to rub his tears away.

He cried for a little while longer which was completely expected. I knew how much he loved children and he has obviously been torn over this for years. Now, that I had a close call with the river, it rekindled memories and emotions.

"That's why I have that fancy car, you know." He said after he calmed down. "I never understood the need to cars like that because there is no need for them in the woods. To me, it's also a waste of expenses when other cars are cheaper and do the same thing. Ryland bought it for me as a thank you for saving his sister." He said, pulling me onto his lap and placing a kiss on my cheek.

"At first, I hated it because it was just a painful reminder. It stayed in the garage for the longest time. One the anniversary of his death, I drove it for the first time. Now it's a reminder of all the time we had together. It still hurts but it's a good time of hurt, if that makes any sense."

Turning around, I place a sweet, chaste kiss on his lips and gave home a smile. His eyes still shone from his tears and his face was red but he still looked beautiful. He smiled and began placing kisses all over my face and neck, making me laugh.

"Orion!" I yelped in laughter as his kisses and hair ticked my skin. He pulled back with a loud, booming laughter. Still laughing, he placed his forehead on mine.

"I love you." He said, grinning.

"I love you too."
