《Unwanted》Chapter 61

"I told you." He spat a mouthful of blood onto the ground by my feet. "I am not your father."

His last words tang in my head, repeating them over and over, trying to grasp the meaning behind them. The same words he used to mock me and torture me for years with. Replaying in my head just as the scratched disc that he used to play every year on my birthday as he gave me my 'special gift', as he called it.

Never had I been given a thoughtful or useful gift until that day with Orion's mother. My gifts consisted of new totter weapons my father would use to keep his pack in order, the keep them from lashing out and overthrowing him. He ruled with threats, control instead of order and peace. Never able to fulfill the rightful duties of an Alpha.

I guess that's why he showed up, I was overwhelmingly surprised by the numbers her held, the men standing by his side. Along side the man who bares a scar on his face, one that I gave him. A man who has had hundreds murdered for his own pleasure and payment, able to watch them suffer beneath his feet.

Dull faces and blank look were given to us and the faithful and loyal people who stand behind me. Ones who don't understand my pain yet will protect me with everything they have. Those who know that there is a possibility that they will die are here to practically sacrifice themselves for me.

"I have given you many chances, my Malia." Master stepped forward, Alpha Pierce following after him. "And yet, you still haven't turned yourself over to us."

"And she never will." Orion snarled from behind me.

"Shut up." He snarled. "I was talking to the bitch." His eyes scanned my body and I squirmed. "I've waited a long time for your death. I can wait to give it to you." Knowing what Orion's reaction to that would be, Master shifted in preparation for Orion's attack. Once they connected, the two sides collided, the heavy feeling of death overcoming our land.

"I've always known how useless you would be." Alpha started. "Since the day you born I knew you would be weak." He stalked a circle around me. I was unable to speak, shaking in fear from the dominance he held over me. Years of being beaten into submission kept me from talking back.

"Come out and meet your sister." Confused, I snapped my head up, watching as a dark figure stepped out of the shadows. He looked to be a teenager, not far from me. With brown hair and blue eyes, he looked nothing like me nor Alpha Pierce. The only thing they had in common was the pair of hard set eyes, jus different colors.

"I-I have a brother?" My eyes never left his blue ones. While mine were wide, his were narrowed and cold.

"He was to be my heir but you," he pointed at me. "you just had to go and ruin everything!" He snarled. "After you pulled that escaping stunt, Gordon came to me and took my land, claiming it was his because you left! We have nothing because of you!" Alpha turned to the other man and whispered something, making him disappear once more. He eyes passed my body and looked behind me, a wicked grin on his face.

Turning my head, I looked over my shoulder to see Orion still battling with Master. Although Orion's wolf was larger, Master was strong, having been battle-hardened from years of fighting. Two wolves approached his back and I stepped forward, preparing to shift and help.

"Kneel!" Alpha Pierce snarled. My body was so accustomed to his commands and fearing a form of punishment for disobeying, my legs buckled and I dropped to my knees.

"Look how pathetic you are." He laughed. "Can't even stand up for yourself, needing your mate to protect you all the time.Look." I stared at my feet, refusing to watch. Bending down, he forcefully grabbed my chin and snapped it to the side, now facing my fighting mate.

"I said watch." He growled and held my chin. I was unable to move my head, or even blink, for that matter. Staring blankly at the scene in front of me, I watched my mate get torn apart. Tuffs of fur was being flung everywhere and spilt blood stained the ground. Some of his pain lingered through the bond, my own skin feeling bits of pain that he was having. He managed to pin Master down with the other two wolves tearing at his back, but was growing tired from using his energy and the blood loss from his wounds.

"You are weak, just as he is. You now get to watch as he suffers and dies, just as I watched your mother die. You are a pathetic bitch, just as she was." A hot sense of anger rushed my veins at his comment of my mother. Another soon followed; protectiveness over my mate, the need to save him from his troubles. Bending down, he gripped my ear harshly, pulling it up towards his mouth.

"I should've killed you a long time ago and saved myself all of this trouble." Shaking in anger as my mate let out a pain filled growl, his blood in the air, I snapped. Reaching up, I extended my claws and buried them into his neck, tearing through the muscles. His eyes widened, warm blood pooling onto my hand. Letting me go, he brought up his hands and grasped at his throat, choking on his own blood.

"He- he will h-hate you for t-this." He tried to speak as blood filled his mouth and air ways. "W-will never f-forgive you."

"I don't care." I finally spoke my opinions to him for the first time, not a care in the world. "You may be his father but you should have been mine too."

He tried to laugh but it came up as a cough as he puked out a stream of crimson red liquid. "When will you get it," He wheezed hard before continuing, "through your head."

"Get what?" I growled.

"I told you." He spat a mouthful of blood onto the ground by my feet. "I am not your father." His body sagged and the eerily glint that his eyes held faded. Watching with an odd sense of satisfaction, his body fell to the ground, unmoving. It was surreal. I was afraid he would get up and beat me mercilessly, until I laid unmoving. I watched until my mate's pain radiated through my body.

Turning around once more, I shifted quickly, pulling one of the men off my Orion's body. Ripping through him with rage, I swiftly moved to the second, tearing him apart limb from limb.

I nudged at his head, his black fur glistening with blood, some parts of his body missing skin. Whining and licking his cheek, he weakly opened his eyes. "Hey, Sweetheart." He mind linked me as he was too weak to speak. Giving out another whining, I tended to his wounds, licking them in an attempted to heal him. Shakily, he lifted his hand and gentle placed his on my snout, running it over my forehead and down my neck.

" I love you." He said and his eyes rolled back into his head before closing. I could hear his breath become labored and erratic, slowing down with each passing second. Panicked, I shifted, ignored the pain from my wounds I have seemed to have gained.

"No, no." I could feel the bond between us grow weak as his soul faded from his body. Our bond slowly tearing apart, leaving me empty with a gaping whole in my chest. "No! No, please!" I cried out and clutched at his fur.

Turning to the sky, tears poured down my face. Only the crescent moon was in the sky, a dark and starless night it was. As if sensing my loss, the stars left the moon alone, only the Moon Goddess watching the loss of my mate.

"Please! Don't leave me." I sobbed and buried my face into his fur. "I love you."
