《Unwanted》Chapter 37

I wiped the blood of my face after slamming the door behind me with a growl. Blood was pouring from my nose because those fucking rouges jumped me. Though, I wasn't really surprised that this happened, in fact, I predicted it. I was just pissed off because I underestimated their strength and there numbers.
"Dude, I'm so disappointed in you." Ryland walked into the foyer with a towel in his hand.
"For what? Bleeding? Letting a damn, annoying ass pack of rouges jump me?" I breathed through my nose, tilting my head back and holding my nose, so I wouldn't spill anymore blood on his floor.
"No! For not taking your awesome car over here!" He exclaimed like it was the most obvious thing on Earth. I let out a laugh, some blood spilling over my lips.
"You're made at me for not taking the car you gave me instead of bleeding all over your welcome mat, which I am staining by the way. You of all people should know that engine would attract every rouges within at least a five mile radius."
"You know I'm just playing with you. I have just been wanting to see you actually using the car. Goddess knows you never spend any money on yourself." He muttered and handed me the towel.
"You got me that car so that I may be able to indulge myself?" I winced as I put pressure on my nose. "I though it was because I saved your sister and you were so grateful because of it." He shrugged and wave his hands.
"A little mix of both." He grinned and I rolled my eyes.
"Now I don't feel so bad for ruining your carpet. Good luck with that, man." I slapped his back as I made his way to his office.
"So why exactly are you here again? Caspian spoke very little of why your visit would be so sudden. He still mad about what I did last year?"
"Ryland, I would be more than I little mad if you ripped my tail off too."
"It was an accident! Plus he started it and your pack doctor was able to attach back in time! It still works, doesn't it?"

"Whatever." I slapped him on back of the head and plopped down in the chair, rummaging through the remains of my bag.
"See? No harm, no foul." I pulled the file from my bag and flopped it on the desk in front of him.
"The war treaty, so that we may team up."
"If you needed my help, you could have just asked. You already told me to prepare myself and my lack just in case."
"Have you never read The Book of Laws?" She sheepishly grinned at me and shook his head and I sighed.
"In my defense, it was too long and very repetitive. Plus they used huge terms that made no sense."
"Well, it states that no pack my not fight together as allies unless this is signed. There are two copies there so that we each have one. If you don't have these, than the werewolf committee will be after the both of us."
"Aww, really?" He coped and I tiled my head at him. "You went all this way, by yourself, so that we wouldn't get in trouble. You even got injured for me! You must really love me!"
"Just shut up and sign that damn contracts."

Malia's POV
A feeling of longing made its way home in my heart just after the sun slipped from the horizon. The crescent moon was peaking out from over the trees, greeting the early night. Throwing the sheets off my body, I finally gave up on getting any sleep tonight. I couldn't sleep with this feeling nagging me every second. I felt as if I was missing something and desperately needing it back. My heart needed something and it wouldn't let me sleep until it gets whatever it wants back.
Deciding that a long walk is what I needed, that my wolf was missing the beautiful forest at night. With my wolf encouraging me, I left my room with the intent of exploring parts of the woods I have not yet become familiarized with. Scanning the long, dark hallways for any signs of other people, I crept through the large house, not wanting to wake anyone. It became a habit over the years, to make sure I wouldn't get caught or disturb anyone, even if I had free reign to come and leave as I please.

I opened the front door and closed it behind me quietly, letting the darkness of the night absorb me, welcoming me into it open arms. The calm, cold breeze caressed my bare skin as I stalked through the night. White rabbits were making their way back to their dens, easier to see now that their coats were turning back to brown. Flowers and live filled the air, filling my nose with their sweet aroma. Spring was on its way, the season of rejuvenation and new beginnings.
Wandering aimlessly through the woods, I had no clear intention of where I was going. I was surprised when I found myself making my way down a familiar path and finding myself standing in front of the Alpha's house. Something within me urged me to go inside even though I knew I wasn't supposed to. My heart cries out at me, begging me to go and just open the door.
Without knowing, my feet began to move, bringing myself closer and closer to what my heart craved. As soon as my hand twisted the knob, it came open, greeting me with his scent. It was unsafe, him leaving the door to his house unlocked at all times. Someone could easily break in and take anything they wanted but Alpha felt comfortable knowing that it was unlocked.
As soon as I smelled his scent, I knew deep down that I couldn't leave. That it was him I truly wanted, what my heart was reaching out for, but his scent it what I had to settle with for now. He spent a lot of time in here, I could tell. Personal touches were displayed around the house and I could almost feel his presence in the house with me, making my muscles and my emotions relax. I was calm knowing that I was in his house, in the space that he owns, what he calls home.
A yawn escaped my mouth. Just being here made me feel safe enough that I knew I could get decent sleep. My eyes scanned over the couch but my nose said otherwise. It led me to where his scent was the strongest, where his presence mostly was.
Walking over to the bed, I stood over it, staring at it for the longest time. I wanted to sleep here but I knew that I shouldn't, that I couldn't possible do that. Turning around, about to leave the room and make myself comfortable on the couch, something had moved out of the corner of my eye. My quickly movement must have stirred something from the nightstand and made it fall to the ground. Closely looking at it, I realized it was a green post it, the same type I remember seeing lying on his desk.
If you are here, Malia, and you are reading this, remember what I said. You are welcomed here, even if I am not here with you. I want you to be here. Please, do not feel obligated to leave. Use the bed and get a good night sleep and if you don't have pajamas, you can use one of my shirts.
Sweet dreams,
Orion
I read the little note over and over again, making sure I was actually understanding what it said. I can be here. He said that he wanted me to be here, not that I had to. I was so conflicted with my emotions. Everything that I was taught, everything that I learned over the course of my life was not helping me in anyway with this situation. Alphas don't want people in their house. Alphas are not kind to people. They do not ask, they demand for things to get done.
But here Alpha was, being kind to me, welcoming me into his house and asking me if I wanted to do anything. Reading the note one last time, I finally placed on the nightstand where I had found it. Looking back and forth between the note and the bed, I sighed. Pulling back the covers, I tucked myself in between the soft sheets, making myself comfortable in his bed. I snuggled into his pillow, inhaling his strong scent, making my mind feel at peace. I finally gave my heart what it wanted.
