"W- who are you?" I shivered as the disgusting brown wolf shifted into his human form. My breath hitched at the green orbs that haunted my dreams for years now.
He's been dragging me along the lands all night long.
"Who are you?" I hollered again. He wore a pair of dirty jeans and ripped a strip of material from his T-shirt. Covering my mouth and knotting it behind my head. I was fucking helpless, since my hands and legs were chained.
He threw me into the trunk of an old rusty truck, before walking away to the back seat. I heard some shuffling noises, amongst the beating of my heart. Sweat, dirt and tears ruining my face.
My sobs and screams were muffled, no one could come to my rescue. The green eyed beast appeared again, with a silver shiny thing this time. A heavy baseball bat.
Before any further contemplations, he struck me with it. My sight became blurry, when I heard the door being slammed.
~~~~~
The smell of my own blood surrounded me. My hazy vision, began clearing up. Sitting up against the cold wall, it seemed like I was trapped inside a dimly lit dirty old shack.
I tried moving my numb feet and a strong sense of pain struck me from my right calf. I looked down at it in pure shock.
"Dean." The name was carved on my skin, in a rather rough manner. The green eyed beast was Dean's brother Kane. It all made sense now, Lincoln sent me over to my worst enemy.
How did Kane find me? I wanted to pull all my hair out, trying to rake my brain for information.
For all I know Ben kept a close eye on the borders, noticing Kane's presence a few times. Feeling skeptical about my mate bond with Dean I never gave him my actual name. And he was too blind and drawn to me, that me kept calling me 'honey'. He was only aware that the Blood Hunter's Pack warriors trained by the borders and I was a part of it. The only fucking information he had about me and Ben.
I needed to think. This can't be the end for me. I have to come up with something fast.
Third person POV
It's was a sunny weekend and as Mia had promised to the kids, today they were going to meet Kai. The little pups had been hearing endless stories about their Alpha wolf that led their pack. And after a little bit of Amelia's persuasion, Lincoln had agreed. Under one rule, Kai would be present, only if he saw Heera with the little ones and later the two could spend some alone time.
Heera had already shifted, seated on the green grass of the fields, being petted by the small, gentle hands. She had two little girls snuggled between her front paws as well.
If the moon goddess was watching she'd be amazed at what a wonderful Luna, Amelia And Heera were becoming.
Cautiously, the pups that were running around the fields, got closer to Heera. Her ears raised and snout high, she sensed Kai before he appeared. The pitch black wolf emerged, a few feet away from them. She could sense the little one's fear. As if to ease the tension she howled at her partner, and he joined in soon. Watching the two wolves react the pups began to howl even in their human form.
In order to look more approachable, Kai laid on the ground completely flat. He watched a chubby little boy come closer. He was still hesitant so he took little steps. Kai huffed a breath and laid there, waiting to see what the kids would do to him. The tiny fingers finally touched his paws and it made him still. He gently pulled in his claws, afraid to hurt the pup. The boy now crouched down to Kai's level, his eyes filled wonderment. Heera heard him giggle, when Kai licked his face. She wagged her tail in excitement.
That was the signal, and soon all the kids ran to Kai. The poor wolf was now huddled by the kids. About six of them even laid over Kai. They loved the kind of warmth and security this wolf had given out.
Soon the pups had been running around, a few having rides on Kai's back, while the little girls stayed beside Heera.
Eventually it was time for the pups to head back home, with heavy hearts they left their Alpha and Luna.
Kai now walked closer to Heera, whilst she still sat on the grass. Their foreheads pressed against each other for a few seconds. He licked his she-wolf's cheek and nibbled on her neck. She let out a little whine, dropping to the ground, playfully holding up her paws. Kai hovered over her and the scene looked like the two were beginning to brawl. Her whines and his growls, they nibbled and licked each other.
Finally jog trotting into the woods. Heera and Kai swam in the river, washing off their fur and nestling against each other. After sometime Kai walked away to grab a few clothes to change. In the meantime Heera began to shift.
Amelia Lovecraft
Right now my heart was soaring in happiness, the sight I just witnessed was priceless. Kai and the pups together, he was being really patient and gentle with them. My thoughts were easily diverted to how Lincoln would be around our pups in the future. Two boys with those greyish greens and little girl like me perhaps? I shook away my thoughts, blushing in the process. It's too early Mia!
I swam closer to the river banks, picking and looking at a few pebbles. Lincoln approached the water and let the clothes fall to the ground, and the leaves beneath crunched grabbing my attention. He slowly walked into the waters, while raking his hair with his wet hands.
Oh my goodness, he was a sight. I swallowed the lump in my throat as he neared me, like I was his prey. His smirk proved that he loved what he was doing to me.
"Lincoln?" I whispered, trying to break the silence. Without replying, he pulled my naked body to his and captured my lips. As I clung to him now, the water was below our torsos. Slowly moving from my lips, he traced my jaw and sucked above my collarbone.
I shut my eyes, forgetting our surroundings but only relishing his touch.
A silver knife stabbed someone's back. Blood splattered everywhere. A deep growl. A familiar growl. Lincoln? I tried running towards the person whose hurt but, I couldn't. I was trapped, my ankles were chained. The person who had been stabbed was still looking down as the knife was still on his back. A dark hand pulled out the dagger as the stabbed victim lifted his head in agony. It's was Lincoln.
"Lincoln!" I shouted and opened my eyes, tears streaming down my cheeks. We were still in the water. He was right here with me, holding onto my shoulders, inspecting me. Worry written all over his face. I threw my hands around his neck, sobbing so hard. I didn't have the words to explain what I saw. What do I even call it? A nightmare when I was completely awake?
"What happened baby? You just zoned out?" He rubbed my back.
"Nothing." I cried. I wanted to bury the images of whatever I saw. This man I held onto right now, was my everything. "Lincoln?" I called.
"Yes baby." He cooed.
"Let's leave now." I held his face. The need to be very close to him had grown stronger, more like in a possessive manner. He scrutinized me a for a second before nodding. "What happened Mia? What scared you baby?"
"I can't." I shook my head.
~~~~~~
"What exactly did you see Amelia?" Ragnar asked.
We were now, in the elder's hut. Lincoln couldn't let the matter go that easily, so right after we changed, he brought me here.
I rested on Lincoln's shoulder, while we held hands. My eyes were burning from the hot tears that poured out, but I was afraid of closing my eyes again.
"Mia you need to talk." Lincoln gave my hand a gentle squeeze. I nodded.
Anthea arrived with two warm cups of herbal tea and placed it before us.
"You had a vision my dear. When you tell us what it was, we could help you with it." She smiled.
I lifted my head off Lincoln's shoulder. "I saw something. There was lots of blood." My eyes began to prick, while my body was turning cold.
"Did you see anyone? Your family? Lincoln?" Ragnar questioned.
I sobbed into my hands again. If watching such a thing was pain, putting it into words was harder.
"Baby it's okay." Lincoln's arms embraced me.
"There was blood, everywhere." I sighed. "Someone had stabbed Lincoln's back with a silver dagger." Lincoln kissed my forehead while laid there on him.
"She is probably disturbed from Sarah's incident." Anthea walked to a cabinet before pulling out a jar of teabags. She carefully placed a few in a separate container before sealing it close. "You don't want to be losing sleep with these disturbing visions now. Use one of these before bed Mia. It'll help." I took the jar from her.
"Also consider marking each other soon, in that case you'll be mates again. Able to share one and other's feelings. Build a stronger bond." Ragnar spoke.
"Yes tonight." I said.
"Tonight." Lincoln repeated after me.
