"Wake up!!!"

I heard an annoying screech and my bed began to bounce up and down. Opening my eyes groggily, there was Selena jumping on my bed in an attempt to wake me up.

"What the heck?" I snapped at her.

"We have an hour before your parents come to get you, Connor cleaned the studio... all you have to do is shower and eat the pancakes I made for you.." she said as she jumped off the bed and opened my packed bag and pulled an outfit for me to wear. "Yes wear this!" Selena set aside the dress as she picked matching shoes. "Oh there's coffee too, hurry up Mia!" She pranced through my room.

"Hey! Look at me!" I yelled.

"What?" She turned towards with glistened eyes.

"Come here." I knelt in bed and called her in for an embrace. I knew it when she ignored me and just kept ordering me around that she was feeling emotional and wasn't willing to look at me.

"I'm gonna miss you like hell!" She muffled her cry on my shoulder.

"You think I won't. I can't even think what I'll do without you" I hugged her even tighter.

"Nothing! You can't do anything without me missy." She spoke as she used her palm to wipe my cheeks, that's when I realized the tears on my face.

"I'll come see you o.. okay?" I spoke.

"Yes, and I'll do the same." She grinned at me before dragging me out of my bed.

I spent a good fifteen minutes brushing my teeth and having warm shower before heading downstairs for breakfast.

"Morning Connor!" I greet Connor as I sat opposite the madly in love mates while they couldn't even take their eyes off each other.

"H.. hey Mia, morning!" Connor got out of his daze.

Pouring myself a cup of coffee, Selena passed me a plate of her mouthwatering pancakes.

"Gosh I'm gonna miss this." I spoke as I took my first bite.

"Yup, which means I'll be waking up to this every morning." Connor replied smugly. I stuck my tongue out in reply.

"Oh stop it you two!" Selena joked. "Connor could you move Mia's bags to the living area please." She asked. With a quick nod and a peck he left to grab my bags. Connor was literally like Selena's little puppy, to him she was everything.

"Wonder if our mate would do the same.. hmm?" Heera purred to which I didn't even bother replying to.

"So what's the plan as soon as you head home?" I asked.

"Well something that I've been waiting to do for a long time now. I wanna start my family with Connor, our little pups running around in our house. I can't wait Mia." Her face brightened as she spoke about it.

"Sounds lovely..." I smiled at my friend's dreamy expression and began to eat again.

"You're gonna be a great doctor Mia, I know that for sure. The pack is gonna be glad they have you. So looking forward to Dr. Amelia Lovecraft." She wiggled her eyebrows.

"I hope so. Dad should be here any minute." I said as I took the plates to the faucet.

"Where's my pumpkin?" I heard a loud voice echo through the studio. Recognizing who it was I sprinted to the living area.

"Dad!" I shouted gleefully and jumped on him and he caught me as if I weighed nothing. After being squished in my father's arms, he made me stand again.

My parents are warriors of the pack, dad was about 6ft tall and my mum was around my height which was 5'3ft. They still made a lovely couple compared to the ridiculous height difference. I haven't seen anyone as much as in love with each other like my parents. I was definitely the jealous one when I even saw my parents share a kiss. Always made sure dad had my attention before mum. My mum on the other hand was my biggest support system, she was the one to first agree for me to leave the pack for my studies. She's also given me advice and been my strength through out the whole mate situation. I love both my parents so dearly, but no PDA in front of me! That's a big no no.

My dad runs a library in my hometown and we own a little house by the lake where we live. It's only occasionally that they stay at the pack house, in case of rogues or any attacks from unknown packs. Apart from that dad, mum and I lived at our very own place.

Bidding farewells to Connor and Selena wasn't easy. She promised me that she would visit me by the end of next month, and that's something I'll be looking forward to.

We had a five hour drive before we could reach home.

"Alpha Lincoln has taken charge of the pack. And I must tell you he's been great." Dad informed.

"Greater than Alpha Elijah?" I questioned surprised. The last time I was at the pack Alpha Elijah was in charge and he was a strong yet a kind man. Everyone loved him and the Luna.

"Oh yes! He's definitely greater than his dad. He's already formed an alliance with the Silver Moon pack." He spoke proudly. "Though the man isn't as friendly as his father." He added.

"Wow!" I replied wondering how it was going to be with a new Alpha in charge. "How's the Luna?" I asked.

"He hasn't announced the Luna... yet, but the Beta's little sister Sarah, seems really close to him. Some say they're mates, some say they're just lovers and that the Alpha hasn't met his mate because he hasn't marked Sarah yet." Dad mentioned.

"Oh." My mouth formed into an 'o'.

"You think what I'm thinking." Heera purred.

"Oh shush!" I replied.

After a long nap, I woke up to be welcomed by the tall pine trees, mountains and open fields. Our land was covered in glorious greenery and it looked absolutely breathtaking.

"We're almost home darling!" Dad smiled.

I could feel Heera's adrenaline rush as we drove through the fields and lakes.

Finally we were met with the large gates that took us into the pack. Beside the gates were the words "The Blood Hunters Pack" carved on rock.

I sighed in relief, I couldn't wait to see mum and that I was only a few minutes away from her.

Letting out a yawn, I stretched out.

Driving along the lake I was met with a very familiar view.

It was my house, the place where I was born and raised. The place that held so many memories and the people I love. As dad drove into the driveway, the door opened revealing my mum wearing an apron over her dress. She had the biggest smile on her face.

As soon as the car came to a stop I jumped out of the vehicle and hugged my mother.

"Mama!"

"Oh Mia, you're back!" She held me at arm distance, "you've lost weight."

"No I haven't but you've got a little chubby mama." I chuckled kissing her cheeks.

She fake pouted before walking to dad, "are you tired honey?" She asked as they pecked each other.

"Okay ew ew ew! Stop!" I pulled mum towards the kitchen. "I'm hungry."

"I made shepherds pie for my baby." She pulled the tray out of the oven. And placed it beside some freshly baked garlic bread.

"Hmm smells so good." I should be drooling now.

"Mia, freshen up quick, I'll set the table." Mum walked into the dining room.

Walking to my room, that held so many memories of my childhood, teenage years and much more. I finally felt relaxed and at peace. Throwing myself on the comfy bed, I stared at ceiling with a smile on my face. It's going to be a new start, a new step in life and I'll make sure that I shine in this career that I've worked so hard for with no distractions.
