《The Alpha's Rose.》Don't Fight It

--------Rose's POV--------

I sighed into Michaelangelo's chest once more as I let out a silent sob and squeezed onto his shirt.

My mother, my real mother was...a witch? I couldn't believe my ears, I refused to believe anything anyone was saying.

I could barely hear anyone over the sound of my beating heart, "Sweetheart, please you have to understand." Mom er...Alice said as she tried to rub my arm.

I flinched away from her touch and my mate pulled me closer to him, hugging me into his chest.

"Get me out of here."

I didn't need to tell him twice as he scooped me up in his arms and walked away from the living room, ignoring the protests from everyone.

"Where do you want to go?"

He asked.

"Take me anywhere, I don't care anymore."

I sighed as I leaned against the window, the exhaustion of crying my eyes out finally taking it's toll.

I faintly remember hearing Michaelangelo say something but it became a hushed whisper as my eyelids drooped and I fell into darkness.

Friday came as quickly as Thursday left and I woke up on a down comfortor, a warm, muscled arm wrapped around my waist.

"Where am I?"

I whispered to myself, as I tried to move out from under his arm without disturbing him.

"You're in my cabin," He said huskily and I jumped at the sudden noise.

I grinned as he kissed my cheek before he stood up and stretched.

"I need a shower, there's food in the fridge if you want to take a look."

I nodded and swung my legs over the side of the bed.

The shower began and I let myself explore the cabin a little before making my way into the kitchen.

I could tell this house had been used many times, there were so many pictures of people that I presumed to be Michaelangelo's family.

Soon I found myself in the kitchen rummaging through the cabinets.

There were plenty of pots and pans and utensils stocked in the drawers, the cabinets were full of pasta and dry ingredients I couldn't wait to get my hands on.

Just then, a crash resounded through the house and I rushed up to where Michaelangelo was showering.

It was there that I found him on the floor on the bathroom, towels strewn about.

"Are you okay?"

I rushed over to his side as he sat up.

"Yeah I'm alright, the damn towel rack gave out and I slipped trying to save it."

He rubbed the back of his neck and I fought back a laugh.

"It's alright you can laugh, it was a dumb move."

He smiled as he stood up.

"Well I'm fixing some food for us and you'll be all better."

I winked playfully as he wrapped his arms around my waist.

"I like the sound of that."

He placed a quick kiss on my cheek before patting my butt playfully on my way out the door.

How did I end up with such a man?

I thought back to when he had marked me. My body shivered at the thought of his furious eyes. The way he'd looked at me before biting down on my neck, it was terrifying.

I'd forgiven him for it, knowing that it wasn't a great idea to try to evade my mate when he was basically having a fucking crisis. That didn't excuse his behavior, but in the room when I woke up...I saw genuine guilt and sadness. Nothing like Jack, when Jack was apologizing he always found someway to make it my fault, to weasel out of taking responsibility.

Michaelangelo was different, he wanted to help me. He'd brought my pack, my parents and accepted me through everything. Having two mates was still a mystery to me, but all I knew was I was happier than I'd been with Jack. I was happy with my mate.
