They both stood at the front with another vampire who led the mating ceremonies, every one had cheered as they walked in the room, much to their surprise. Solenne could not take her eyes off of Aerilyn as they held hands, many gazed at them wishing they could be in the girls shoes.

The vampire at the front started "Under Selene goddess of the moon, we are here to unite Aerilyn and our Majesty Queen Solenne, under the stars, we find these two mates, united and binded by their bond and love for all eternity and beyond. We welcome them both into this sacred bond and wish only for their health and happiness" they stood gazing into each others eyes, not paying attention to anyone else around them.

"Repeat after me your Majesty...Under the sun, the moon and the stars, I will keep my mate safe, protect her and cherish the undying love and commitment that the bond carries, to you, the other half of my soul, for I have found you" Solenne spoke word for word holding Aerilyn's hand, looking at her like she had hung the sun, the moon and the stars.

The man gestured for Aerilyn to say the same, she was nervous but she had managed to do it too. Near them stood the mating fountain, it did not have any particular kind of water, it was special, that had been around for thousands of years. The fountain lay under the moon as there was a hole in the roof just for this occasion. They both climbed up the stairs too it, the room was silent, "You will both drop your blood into the fountain to seal this bond together" he handed them both a knife to be able to do it.

Solenne had been worried about them being around human blood, especially the girls but she was reassured by the bestfriend and general that everyone had had more than enough to drink beforehand and would be fine. "Queen Solenne, you must now mark your mate, for this shall reveal your mating symbol" Solenne whispered into Aerilyn's ear "Where would you like it?" Aerilyn was rather confused as she thought this had to be done during sex and she was not about to do that with a room full of people.

Solenne sensed this and wanted to laugh, "this is the first part, do not worry pet, we will save that for later" Aerilyn blushed and exposed her neck to the vampire.

Solenne paused "are you sure?" she asked.

Aerilyn never moved, she stayed in the same position, "more than, yes" Solenne held Aerilyn around the waist as she moved in, her fangs elongating as she pierced the girls skin, this was different to any other time she had drank her blood, it was the marking, something deep and intimate which would only ever happen once but to all other vampires it would then mean that Aerilyn is off limits. The second marking is when they drink each others blood during sex, this confirms the bond and without it, the ceremony would not be complete.

Aerilyn hold onto Solenne, it didn't hurt as much as she thought it would and being in the arms of Solenne infront of everyone and not hiding was even better. Solenne managed to pull herself away from her after she marked her, her blood tasting divine as usual. Aerilyn pecked the Queen's lips after she had pulled away. "I love you" she was only human after all and that was how she expressed her love for her. "I love you, for now, forever and always" Solenne spoke back, kissing her once again, both of their emotions were overwhelming them.

The man had stepped back now, once the marking had happened, the vampires tend to become even more territorial. Solenne looked to Aerilyn's collar bone to see a mark appearing like a tattoo, it was an old bonded symbol that couldn't be described without seeing it. It's intricate lines weaving its way through, crescent shaped but none the less beautiful. Solenne also had hers appear on her wrist.

The indescribable feeling of finally seeing the mark that she had waited so long for, her other half.

The vampires in the room cheered as the man at the front spoke, "a true sign of the mate bond" they all proceeded to bow in front of their Queen and her mate. Aerilyn looked around shocked at the response they were having, Solenne grabbed her by the waist and pulled her in closer kissing her the side of her head.

She led her by her hand out of the room, the only place Solenne wanted Aerilyn was in her bed, as soon as they were out of the door Solenne sweeped Aerilyn off her feet and ran at a vampire speed to her room.

Solenne's eyes were still gold which meant she was not talking about her control of her thirst. "Then claim me" Aerilyn encouraged her. "I'm yours" Aerilyn repeated.

Trying to lean up to kiss Solenne, but the vampire held her down. "I need you to say yes before we go any further, I won't be able to not mark you this time" her breath hit Aerilyn's face.

Aerilyn looked straight into her mates eyes thinking about the impact of what she was saying but the truth was she was all in, nothing would hold her back. "Yes, I want you to mark me, I want to be completely yours" The girl felt shy as the vampire smirked at her, revealing her toothy grin.

Loosening her grip on the human girl she bent down and kissed her, her soft lips became tougher as they carried on, tongues meeting but Solenne was dominant and in control, Aerilyn was merely at her mercy.

Clutching her waist tightly Solenne kissed the girls neck, nipping and sucking her neck, leaving mark after mark. Aerilyn's moans were becoming louder as she felt herself building up down below. Aerilyn looked everywhere at the vampires perfect body, her skin even more inviting. "Are you done staring?" The vampire Queen laughed causing the human girl to blush, they paused for a second looking at each other in the eyes, before they crashed together with a matter of urgency, hands roaming each other's bare skin.

Solenne took charge, making her way to the girls nipples that hardened under the Queen's touch, "Solenne" Aerilyn softly moaned, she needed more. The Queen would give her what they both wanted, they had waited this long and she was not about to waste time, in fact she wanted to make up for lost time.
