Solenne who felt just as she did, was seeing eye to eye with Evelyn.

"I will kill anyone who gets in my way. Stay in the castle till we return and if we don't, you are free to leave" Evelyn had grown to like the vampire and her living arrangements, so much so that she stopped trying to find a way to leave but instead wanted to find a way to live.

Evelyn nodded and let them leave, the only benefit for the vampires was that they had speed, they could storm into the camp quietly and fast so that the alarm could not be raised straight away.

Prince Matheus approached Solenne in the courtyard. "Going to rescue that pet of yours, this is madness" Matheus spoke, he was advising her against going.

Solenne grabbed him by his throat, she was in no mood for him, even if he was her brother.

"I am going to end this once and for all, the crown is yours should I not return" The Queen spoke.

She released him and began to put her golden armour on, grabbing her sword as she strapped it onto her back. They all geared up and got ready to leave, they would have to travel on foot.

Meanwhile, Aerilyn was tied to a post in the middle of the small werewolf camp where she was sporting a black eye due to the alpha punching her, she was sure she had concussion, she felt dizzy and was trying to stay awake.

It clearly wasn't their main base as she had overheard they had been moving around to make sure they hadn't been caught. Aerilyn wasn't sure if Solenne would even come for her, part of her hoped she would but the other part of her knew she was just a slave, her life was meaningless. All she could think about was finding her brother and Evelyn, being reunited just one last time.

At some point Aerilyn fell asleep into the night, unable to stay awake any longer. Eamon and Tri were tied to another pole across from her but none of them spoke, too fearful for their lives.

It was first light when the Alpha came out of his tent looking around, his guards patrolled the camp in rotations.

"Seems like you were right after all, just another blood bag" he picked up a knife and walked towards her, Pax was stood near, there was no point keeping her alive, he had no purpose for her.

"You were wrong" the alpha spat at Pax before grabbing him and kicking him, his anger boiling, he was known for not having much patience.

Pax cowered on the floor "I'm not I swear, she's the one, she will come for her" he pleaded for his life.

The alpha grabbed him by the scruff of his neck picking him up off the floor and holding the knife to him. "and why am I to believe you" roughing him up more.

Pax cried as he was punched in the stomach, "I overheard her brother Prince Matheus talk about it with the Queen's best friend" Pax leaned into to whisper something in the Alpha's ear, Alpha Wes's eyes widened at what he had been told, he looked straight to the girl and narrowed his eyes.

"How about we make this more interesting then, if what you say is true, the smell of her blood will drive the vampire bitch crazy" his smile widened sadistically as he pushed Pax away and made his way over to Aerilyn.

He threw his knife up in the air showing off as he walked over while some of the pack gathered around whistling and howling.

Aerilyn's eyes widened but she was gagged and could not say anything.

The alpha bent down and held her still, taking her wrist and cutting it, she cried with all her might.

He started to take the gag off after the first cut he made "let her hear your screams" he said quickly before cutting her again. Aerilyn tried to stop crying out, she didn't think Solenne would bother coming for her anyway.

Solenne felt something wrong immediately, she could smell from miles away, she knew that scent. Aerilyn was bleeding. Solenne had a vision of what he was going to do to her, she heard her screams, they killed her to hear.

After cutting her a few more times he kicked her in the stomach and walked off telling him men to prepare and keep a look out.

Aerilyn could not stop the bleeding, she felt herself becoming drowsy, she called for Solenne in her pits of despair.

"Alpha" one of the werewolves called. A young wolf approached, waiting to be told it was okay to speak. "yes boy" Alpha Wes cast him a glance.

The boy took a step forward, happy to serve the alpha. "The vampires have been spotted it won't be long until they are here, maybe another 20 minutes" the alpha nodded his head preparing to gear up.

He stalked over to a drowsy Aerilyn, "before you die, I will give you to my men, it's only fair they get to have some fun, would be such a waste to dispose of you now that you are here" what a sick wolf. Aerilyn barely conscious was panicking internally.

As Solenne neared her she felt the emotions the girl was feeling, she had heard her screams, she heard Aerilyn call for her. The alpha cut the rope and dragged Aerilyn to a nearby tent, where some of his men were waiting.

"Well done boys, kill her when you are done, be quick, then we will fight the dirty blood suckers" he laughed and walked out.

She was on the floor with four men surrounding her each ready to have a taste.

She tried to fight them but they just beat her, kicked her and punched her. Her nose was bleeding and she was not a pretty sight. They held her down.

"Stay still bitch, you are making this harder on yourself" he started to unzip his pants. She flailed around trying to fight them.

A sound alarmed, causing them to stop, a horn was blown again and again.

Solenne had arrive quicker than they had expected, they had underestimated them.

"Quick shift" one of them commanded. They all shifted at once apart from one of them.

"You guys go, I'll finish her off" he ordered them.

Solenne had arrived and boy was she going to slaughter them all. Fighting werewolves took longer but she was the stronger of the two.

She could smell that Aerilyn was here, she had to get to her before anything else happened.

The werewolf who stayed behind had a mischievous grin on his face. "Ah right, where were we" he started to unbutton his trousers, not startled by what was going on outside. He climbed on top of Aerilyn holding her arms down whilst also trying to get her top of as she fought him.

He was much stronger than she was, but still she tried to fight.

As the vampires had arrived, humans also charged for an attack.

The resistance had turned up to the fight charging in from behind the camp. No one had been expecting it. They were able to help free Eamon and Tri, who then went looking for Aerilyn.

The werewolf was to caught up in trying to take Aerilyn's top off that someone had slipped into the tent and charged at the wolf knocking him off the girl.

Aerilyn sat up trying to see what was going on, still in shock.

"Solenne" she breathed, calling for her, she didn't know who was in the tent with her.

Solenne was so focused on the wolf and the smell that he radiated that she didn't have time to check on Aerilyn. She couldn't bare the smell and aroma in the tent, it sent her wild with blood thirst, she would not stop at killing this werewolf, especially with that he was going to do to her.

The wolf shifted immediately and charged at her. The Queen dodged the attack and fought back with her sword.

The wolf managed to grab her leg causing her to tumble, it growled at her.

Solenne could hear the girls heart beat once she honed in on it, but it was beating slower than usual, she had lost a lot of blood.

Jumping up fast and getting behind the wolf, the Queen took back control and climbed on its back to snap its neck making it go limp.

Aerilyn's eyes barely locked with Solenne, the Queen couldn't describe how she felt seeing the girl alive, even in the state she was in.

As she walked closer to the girl, someone entered the tent.

"Eli, what are you doing here?" Aerilyn was ready to die from cardiac arrest. There stood Eli with some make shift armour on and a dagger. Adrenaline was running through Aerilyn, she had to make it out of here.

"I'm here to kill this bitch" he shouted pointing at Solenne.

Solenne stepped closer to Aerilyn, she would never let anyone hurt the girl.

Aerilyn got up and fell into the arms of the Queen.

Solenne was taken back but embraced the girl even if she was covered in blood, breathing in her smell and enveloping her in a hug, holding her up right as she couldn't stand very well.

She never wanted to let go of her again.

"Aerilyn what are you doing" he spat.

"You came" she gasped, too caught up in Solenne.

"Of course I did pet" Solenne's arms pulled the girl into her more, causing Aerilyn to wince in pain, but she was too happy to care. Solenne's eyes were as red as blood.

Eli didn't understand what was going on, he grabbed his knife, he wanted to kill the Queen.

"I'm sorry for running away, I was going to come back but I got caught" the girl explained. Solenne's eyes turned gold for a moment.

She heard the footsteps approach and as he raised his arm with the knife she caught it mid air.

"If you were not her brother, you would be dead" she held his arm so he could not move, the knife dropped on the floor, all the while she held Aerilyn with her other arm.

"How could you betray your own kind sister" He couldn't believe what he had saw.

"She's not what you think she is Eli" Aerilyn pleaded with her brother.

"Tell that to the bite marks on your wrist and the marks around your neck, we all know she collared you and look at the state you are in now" he spat.

"I'm going to kill her for what she has done" he carried on.

"Not if I kill you all first" the alpha appeared in the tent, shifting mid jump at Eli who held his hands up and fell to the floor. Solenne ran straight in front of him to protect him, this shocked Eli, he was sure that she would just let him be killed. Aerilyn fell to the floor.

The two began to fight, Solenne managed to miss most of his shots and pummeled him to the ground. The wolf was thrown outside of the tent where they carried on fighting. Aerilyn was now worried for the Queen. "How can you care about a blood sucking monster like that Lyn, what has happened to you?" He was shocked, Eli helped her stand up holding a hand around her waist and her arm around his neck.

They stood at the entrance of the tent, seeing the chaos outside, she couldn't believe her eyes.

"She just saved your life, you don't know the truth Eli" Aerilyn spat, this wasn't how she saw the reunion going.

She didn't want Solenne to get hurt, as she watched her it was clear the Queen was tiring. The wolf was able to get the Queen to the ground and bit a chunk out of her shoulder, Aerilyn started to try and walk forward towards them panicking in fear, she couldn't let him kill her.

She broke away from Eli, even if this was her last breath she knew what she had to do.

She grabbed a kettle that had been sat on the fire and swung it over the wolfs head.

She hated seeing Solenne in such a vulnerable position, the wolf turned, his anger growing and stalked towards Aerilyn and Eli who now stood in front of her to protect her.

This gave Solenne the chance to get back on her feet, she picked her sword up and ran at the wolf before he could do anything to the two humans stood there.

Eli couldn't believe that the Queen had protected them like this.

She swiped the sword and caught the alpha's shoulder, causing him to howl. Luana and Nilsa were still fighting but they were winning, the resistance soldiers had freed the humans they were there for, and stepped back to stay out of the fight. They retreated back to their camp whilst the others were still distracted.

The alpha knocked Solenne to the floor again and jumped to kill her, the Queen who was on her back quickly grabbed a knife from her hip and held it as the wolf pounced on her.

"NO NO NOOO" Aerilyn screamed. From where she was it looked like the wolf had killed her. That was until she heard a whimper and the wolf turned back into his human form. "You won't be able to keep her alive" the alpha spat before he went limp on top of Solenne. The girl ran over to see, only to find Solenne push the wolf off who was now dead.

"I command you all to stop, your Alpha is dead" she roared on the battle field. Slowly but surely the last remaining few stopped. Those last words of the alpha played on her mind.

"This is over, you may live to see another day and return to your pack if you stop fighting, I will give you a few days to return, collect and bury the dead. If you carry on however, you will all be killed. It is your choice, there need not be any more blood shed" spoke like a true Queen. Aerilyn felt like it was all her fault why this had happened.

The wolves started to back away and left, the vampires secured the area and began to bury their own kind.

Nilsa and Luanna were all cut up but came over to check on everyone.

Aerilyn turned to her brother apprehensively "please don't hate me Eli, I want to explain everything" she asked him.

"We can when we get to the resistance camp, we can leave now" he still wasn't understanding the situation.

Solenne watched on, she wasn't about to let the girl out of her sight never mind leave but she knew she could not keep her hostage if the girl asked of it.

Aerilyn stumbled over to Queen Solenne who caught the human in her arms, "I'm not going Eli, Evelyn is back at the castle" Solenne pulled her in tight, breathing her smell in, it was hard to be around her with the smell of blood, but her need to take care of her over ruled her blood thirst. "What do you mean you're not going?" He wasn't happy.

Solenne sat Aerilyn down on the ground and went to fetch some water and a cloth. "I'm not going to the resistance camp, I'm sure you could come with me to the castle" she reassured him.

"I'm not letting you go back to the castle" Eli still stood awkwardly.

Solenne returned with a cloth and began to wet it, "You don't have a choice" Aerilyn looked at her brother and then back to Queen Solenne to see what she was doing.

"Is she free to leave?" Eli turned to Solenne, he didn't understand why she hadn't said a word yet, she was a Queen after all.

Solenne stared long and hard, her eyes snapped to the girl. She nonchalently placed the cloth on Aerilyn's face and began to clean her up very gently. Aerilyn couldn't believe how gentle she was being.

"She was never a prisoner in the first place, but she will be safer with me, she's lost too much blood" Solenne confirmed, it was true, everything she did was to protect the girl.

Aerilyn stared dumbfounded at the Queen's revelation. "There we have it, come on sis" he tried to tug on her arm as she was sat on the floor. She was still looking into Solenne's eyes, getting lost deep within them.

Aerilyn shook Eli's arm off, "I said I'm not going"

Solenne just wanted her to heal first and foremost, she stopped wiping Aerilyn's face for a minute, "If you would like, you can come and stay for a few days or however long, you are free to leave when you would like, you would be a guest Eli" Solenne tried to persuade him.

Nilsa came over and hugged Aerilyn whilst the conversation was going on. "I'm so happy you are okay, you scared us for a moment there" Nilsa had some bandages with her and passed them to Solenne.

Solenne got back down on her one knee and began to bandage Aerilyn's arm up, she swore to herself this could never happen again.

"I'm incapable of looking after you, maybe you should go" Solenne spoke to herself more than to anyone else.

Aerilyn felt the pain radiating off of Solenne, the Queen had dropped her guard again, all she could feel was sorrow. "this wasn't your fault, it was mine" Aerilyn whispered back.

Solenne finished the make shift bandage, happy it would do for now, she then cupped Aerilyn's cheeks "If anything were to happen to you, I could not live with myself" that was a revelation for Aerilyn, so Solenne cared more than she thought she did. They looked deeply into each others eyes again.

Nilsa coughed getting their attention, the vampires around them could not believe how soft Solenne was being with Aerilyn as it was not normal of them to see their cold Queen melt like this.

"Thanks for coming to get me" Aerilyn stepped up towards Nilsa.

"Never run away again please! The ones you escaped with have gone with the resistance, but at least they are still alive" Nilsa was ecstatic her friend was alive and Aerilyn was happy that Eamon and Tri had got away like they wanted.

"Come on Eli, come with us" Aerilyn begged him.

It was then she noticed Pax. Her eyes narrowed in on him, trying to squirm his way out of the camp but he was caught by Luanna who had obviously touched him and found everything out.

Aerilyn marched over to him and threw the best punch she had over and over again. Solenne saw and felt the pain in the girl, she stopped her from throwing any more but grabbing her arm and turning her around pulling her into her, making her walk away.
