《The Queen's everything gxg》Chapter 7

Aerilyn didn't see Solenne after that, more days had passed and they had no solid way to escape.
On one particular evening when dinner was being served, one of the other prisoners tried to escape and in doing so they were killed there and then. It shook fear in all of them that they could be next, they had no weapons to attack them with but still desperately tried.
Other than that the days were boring and Aerilyn coiled back into herself. She didn't even speak to Nilsa when she was around, in fact Aerilyn avoided her after the vision she saw.
A few evenings later after dinner, Aerilyn was approached by Ren and the big muscly guy they met on the first day, who towered over her.
"Get up scum" he spat.
Aerilyn was scared, Eli came over but the guards pushed him back.
"No, where are you taking me" she cried.
He slapped her and then grabbed her by the hair, pulling her up.
This came out of no where. Aerilyn held onto her face as it stung.
She was pulled out, dragged down the hall way and taken to a chamber room where a man stood, she could tell he was important.
Aerilyn kept her eyes down, feeling the tight grip Ren had.
"What were you doing on our land?" He asked.
"We were running from vampires" Aerilyn cowered, suddenly feeling small.
This seemed to be an interrogation, she panicked. The man wasn't too tall, he had dark hair and features. He looked older than the rest of them, wearing dark trousers, with a large coat on.
"Can you smell her blood, I'm dying to have a taste" Ren admitted, trying to come closer.
The man put his hand up, to stop Ren.
Aerilyn tried to back away from them all, but it was no use.
"Please, I don't know anything" she sobbed.
He came closer and started to twist her arm causing her to scream out. "Tell me the truth, where is the resistance".
Aerilyn cried. "That is the truth and I don't know anything about the resistance". He twisted her arm as far as it would go before stopping and throwing her aimlessly across the room so she crashed into a pillar.
This wasn't going well. Aerilyn couldn't get back up from that.
At this point Nilsa burst through the doors. She saw the position Aerilyn was in and how hurt she was. Her eyes widened.

"You don't know what you have done, the Queen is going to go mad, stop" she ordered.
Aerilyn knew she was going to be bruised from this. He ignored her. Ren moved towards Nilsa to stop her from doing anything. She became defensive and they began to fight. Both of their eyes turned red.
"And what is it to the Queen to care about this blood bag" he said with red eyes.
"Im giving you this one last chance, she is almost here and will kill you for this" Nilsa panicked.
"Nonsense! Over that human scum, I doubt it very much, she will thank us for it" the man spoke. Ren moved closer to Nilsa, in a attacking stance.
"You don't know anything, you're making a big mistake" she contested. Nilsa looked over at Aerilyn writhing on the floor then back at Ren.
The man came over to Aerilyn in an instant, dragging her across the room by my hair, Aerilyn screamed in pain once more, her head ached. He began to kick her in the stomach but all she could do was wrap her hands around her head and curl up to try to protect herself.
The man who she now assumed was a general pulled out a knife. "Maybe I should taste you, that might make you talk or better yet scream" he said sadistically.
Ren had Nilsa pinned down on the floor because she had been distracted by Aerilyn being in pain.
Aerilyn could barely talk. It felt like her last moments and all she kept thinking about was why couldn't Solenne come and save her, or her brother or Saryn.
"Get up you pathetic human, I want the truth".
He grabbed Aerilyn, kneeing her in the stomach and kicking more.
Everything started to go blurry as she lay there.
He crouched over Aerilyn as Nilsa tried to reach her.
Aerilyn was helpless, she tried to move and crawl away but couldn't. Her eyes darting back and forth between his and Nilsa's.
"Nooooo" Nilsa screamed in fury.
He cut Aerilyn's wrist with his knife, blood seeping out.
The doors suddenly opened and Solenne came flying in, in a rage.
He was about to grab her wrist to drink but Solenne got in the way, knocking him to the other side of the room, she gave Aerilyn a concerned look. She almost looked pained.
"I'm dealing with this prisoner".

Aerilyn was crying in pain and knew she couldn't hang on much longer.
Aerilyn tried to reach for Solenne's leg, to touch her leg, every ounce of her being was trying to reach her, hoping she would protect her and not drink her blood with this man.
"Solenne" Aerilyn croaked and cried.
She looked down at the human girl once more before becoming really angry. Solenne growled at him, showing her teeth as a warning.
Ren had backed off but the man couldn't take the smell of my blood any longer
"I'm going to have her, get out of my way" he tried to push her out of the way in a frenzy.
Solenne's eyes were the darkest red they had ever been. She jumped on the man as he ran towards Aerilyn in his frenzy and in that moment Solenne made a decision.
She ripped his head from his body. He dropped to the floor immediately and it was over.
"You won't lay a hand on her again" she snarled at Ren, grabbing him by the neck, squeezing so tightly, ready to kill him too.
"Solenne, this isn't the time, she needs your help"
Nilsa countered.
Solenne released her grip on him turned to face Aerilyn.
"Clean up this mess and burn him" she ordered to the guards who had just walked in.
Ren bowed and didn't say anything. He simply left the room in defeat. As some of the guards dealt with the mess.
Nilsa was about to come over but Solenne shot her a warning look.
"Don't even think about coming over here" Solenne warned, gritting her teeth.
The guards in the room kept a safe distance.
Solenne came as close as she had ever been crouching down, Aerilyn couldn't do anything.
"It's okay, they won't hurt you again" she hushed.
"I'm sorry I wasn't here sooner, I'm sorry" she almost looked tearful.
Nilsa watched on, soon realising and understanding why Solenne was acting the way she was, she knew that Solenne cared for the girl, but she was only beginning to understand the extent of her erratic behaviour. She watched on with a slight smile, happy to see Solenne be caring but scared for the girls well-being.
However, Aerilyn was out of it and couldn't respond.
Solenne sighed and carefully picked Aerilyn up as if she was the most fragile thing she had ever seen. Her senses were overloading and not long after that everything went black.
When Aerilyn woke she was back in the room.
As she came to, Eli was next to her looking terrified, Saryn sat in the corner twiddling his thumbs and Ev did not look happy at all even Alex was pacing the room.
"I'm so glad you are okay Aerilyn"
"Do you remember what happened?" Ev asked me.
Aerilyn nodded my head slightly.
"I blacked out" she said trying to sit up. But it was no use, she couldn't remember much.
"Just rest, you need it. Can you tell us what happened, no one would say anything, in fact the guards have been very quiet since last night" Eli muttered the last part.
"They wanted to know why we were here, where the resistance was and then...they wanted my blood" Aerilyn trembled at the thought.
"Nilsa tried to stop them" Aerilyn began to cry.
"Carry on its okay" Ev reminded her. She rubbed Aerilyn's hand soothingly.
"Just as he was about to drink my blood, Solenne came through the door and stopped him".
Saryn stood up. "This is worse than what we first realised"
Eli just stared at Saryn dumbfounded, while Alex and Saryn were looking at each other.
"In fact, she ripped his head from his body and they burnt him". Aerilyn said in a small voice.
Saryn placed his head in his hands.
"Why would she do that for a human" Ev said.
They all looked at each other knowingly, like there was something they all knew that Aerilyn didn't.
"You know she came in here carrying you after they tended to your wounds" Eli grimaced.
"She wouldn't let anyone come over to you, not until she had left, they even had a doctor in here, we practically had to hold Eli back" Alex spoke.
Why would she do that.
Aerilyn couldn't help but feel a strange pull towards her and this was making it more intense, why would she leave heer and not come back to check up on her if she cared?
The rest of the day they stayed very close to Aerilyn, as if they were trying to make a human shield.
