《Kings of Hawkings [bxb]》Chapter 48

Jonas had to stop by the dorms first and was grateful that it was close by. However, he feared that the dorms were watched by the St. Vincent's Elites, so he parked in one of the back roads, and took the narrow allies to enter the back door the dorms. It wasn't a common route and he knew that St. Vincent's wouldn't know about it. He snuck into his dorm and rushed to the room.
But Jaiden heard the noise and rushed after him. "Jo! What are you doing... here?" He saw the blood on Jonas and noticed that he was grabbing tape to wrap his hands and a backpack that they had prepared a week ago.
The backpack had a number of wireless cameras that they got ready for their encounter with St. Vincent's, on top of the evidence that Eli had been building for the last year and a half. Eli had been his biggest supporters and strength in obtaining evidence of St. Vincent's darker side.
"Jo, what are you doing?" He wanted to stop him, but the cold feeling that Jonas was emitting had frightened him to one spot.
Jonas wrapped his hands carefully and clenched his fists to make sure it was comfortable.
He pulled out a hoodie he had stuffed under the bed. It was maroon and had the St. Vincent's sigil. The hood was special where it would cover most of his face. It was a special edition for top Elites. He pulled it over his bloodied clothes and put the backpack on. Luckily his jeans were dark and the blood didn't stand out, but he needed to cover the white shirt that was now stained red.
He took a deep breath. "I will have my phone on the entire time, but the ringer will be silent. When I turn on the video cameras and am ready, I will let you know. Stream it on the Kings' social media page and tag everyone you can think of, including Chuck. Make sure you get Chuck because he has the largest following. Tell the others to use the Spot The Wolf application and start tagging random locations to throw them off."
"And where are you going?" Jaiden asked quietly.
Jonas clenched his jaw. "The only place fitting to end it all." He adjusted the backpack and took off out the door and snuck out through the back again.
His eyes were wary and watched the area to make sure no one was watching him.
At the same time, Jaiden was on the phone with frantically retelling what had just happened in the dorms. The Kings noticed Jonas leaving a little too late and knew that he was out for revenge. They had been scrambling through the hospital, trying to locate him until Jaiden's call came in.

They decided to split up. Millan and Travis stayed with Hugh and Eli in the hospital. Jaiden remained in the dorms and stood by the phone for Jonas' call. Rodgers and Sam recruited some of their stronger classmates and split up through the city, looking for Jonas.
However no one expected a lone motorcycle was making its way up the winding road that lead to St. Vincent's.
Jonas shivered a little as the cold wind hit him. Luckily it wasn't unbearably chilling, but it was still enough to make his hands on the handles numb. His jaw was sore from being clenched for so long. He knew that the Kings and Hugh will be upset with him for taking the initiative. He has contemplated waiting for them and there was still time. But he needed to know their plans and set everything up discreetly. Having even two Kings here would be too conspicuous.
He reached the plateau and St. Vincent's campus came into view like a menacing mountain. The courtyard lights twinkled and glimmered through the steaming water in the fountains, giving the area an ethereal effect. The buildings had a few lights on, casting a number of shadows and causing an eerie backdrop to the courtyard.
It was fitting. The beauty and prestige was the first thing you saw, while the darkness lurked deeper inside the campus. Last time he was here, he had Hugh next to him, but now he was alone. He clicked his tongue and quickly brought the motorcycle into an area that was hidden from view. It was one of his few places of solitude so he knew not a lot of people were able to find it.
He had the St. Vincent's hoodie on and the hood pulled down low. It wasn't anything unusual for Elites. They enjoyed wearing their hoodies like this, feeling like they were part of some elite secret society. Jonas grimaced. This was like a cult and Lukas was aiming to be the leader.
He walked through the campus, trying to blend in, especially when he saw a group of people wearing the same hoodies making their way to the Elite building. Jonas quickly followed behind while slouching his shoulders a little. If he walked in like he normally did, then he would call attention to himself. He was proud and confident now, which was different from these Elites who were trying to please Lukas.
Luckily no one noticed him and figured he was part of the group he was following. He took a seat near the back with some others, nodding a quick greeting to them. His eyes settled on one figure in the front of the classroom who sat on the desk like an emperor, the vapid Alpha Elite. He sneered. It took all of his effort to not jump over the seats and pummel Lukas right at this moment, but if he did, he would be the one that would be in trouble.

Jonas pressed record on his phone and waited for the show to begin. His original 60 minutes passed quickly, and midnight struck. When he heard the chimes that ripped through the campus, he couldn't help but to shudder a little. He felt his skin prickle knowing that everyone in this room was now an enemy, but he still kept his outward demeanor relaxed.
Lukas climbed onto the desk and was standing high as if he was on a stage. "We couldn't wait any longer for the Wolf to pussyfoot around his acceptance of the Wolf Hunt, so we have graciously sent him an invitation."
Jonas glared with indignation in his heart. These bastards treated this like a game, when he was facing a life and death scenario. They didn't give a damn that someone was in the hospital because of their actions. They had no self control or empathy for anyone other than themselves. A growl was trapped in his throat. He wanted nothing more than to let loose on these people. Calm, he told himself. Beating up all these people would not serve him in anyway right now.
Jonas pulled out his phone quickly sent a message to Lukas.
: Are you sure you want to do this?
Lukas started to laugh maliciously and held up his phone like he won something. "We hooked him!" The classroom erupted in cheers and whistles.
: Ready or not, here I come
The last text made Lukas pause a little. Jonas couldn't see his face but could imagine him frowning. He could tell that Lukas did not anticipate him taking the initiative. He hoped that Lukas understood what it was like to be hunted down.
Lukas shoved the phone in his pocket without replying. "We had people watching the hospital and the Hawkings dorms. He know he slipped out of the hospital about an hour ago, but we lost sight of him. However, we will know if he tries to go to either of these places tonight.
"The Wolf can't change his nature and will feel a need to protect his loved ones so he will definitely be coming out tonight. But he will be acting out in anger, so he also be loud and make his movements known. He wants to be found and he wants to fight us, so make sure you are armed and do not hold back. You all know where you're stationed and if you spot him, let the forum know. Do not let him off easy."
Jonas clicked his tongue. Of course he expected them to cheat in a fight. They called him a wolf, but they were the real beasts.
But at the same time, Jonas had to laugh inwardly. Did Lukas boast that he knew who he was and how he would act? He was so self absorbed that he didn't even expect that Jonas could slip into his secret cult meeting.
However, his mocking attitude dissipated when he saw the people pick up their bats and crowbars. Every weapon here, could possibly end him if he was careless. Suddenly he wasn't as relaxed as before amongst his enemies.
Lukas pointed at the door and a couple of the hooded figures rushed out. "If we do not see him within an hour, we will send him a warning to call him out." He explained, and then the other figures came in, dragging two smaller figures who were tied up.
Jonas felt like he was hit with a bucket of ice cold water when he saw Lucy and Emilia shaking with tears streaming down their faces. Stabbing Hugh, and kidnapping two young girls... this was the extent Lukas would go? Or perhaps, he would take it further. He felt a chill up his spine and the old thought from before echoed through his mind. I don't want to die. But it suddenly changed to something different. I can't let anyone die.
He tried to restrain the shaking of his hands and gain control of his breathing. At first he was angry because of what they did to Hugh, but then he almost felt relief. Seeing how insane Lukas was, he found that Hugh was lucky that he was alive. He truly believed that Lukas had no qualms with actually killing someone.
Calm.
Breathe.
Play it smart, not like before.
Lucy and Emilia were counting on him to act with caution. Now it wasn't just him in the game. His unease of being in a room with armed enemies no longer bothered him. All he saw were the two pitiful figures in front of him.
They still feared that he would not participate to their liking. If he stayed in the hospital, they would have figured it out and would have used these two to bring him out. If he found a hiding place, it would have been the same result.
If he makes it out of this situation alive, Hugh is going to kill him for going alone.

GLADIUS // Eret X Reader
PHANTASM SERIES BOOK 4---Gladius, (noun): (in ancient Rome) a short sword.---Eret perked up as soon as you and Simon walked into the room, a wide and welcoming smile coming onto his face. He was softer looking than his father had been, but you could still see some of the similar traits. He had a head of thick dark curls, and the same sharp jaw that his father had had. He wasn't as bulky though - he was tall and thin - and his face was a lot more open. What separated him most from his father's likeness though was the colorful cape, and the large mirrored glasses he wore - swirling with colors reflected from the room. He stood from his seat when Maven let the doors swing shut behind her, that wide smile still on his face. "You must be the embassy.""And you must be King Eret." You said, stooping into a bow. "Oh, there's no need for that." Eret said as you rose from your bow. He stepped down from the dias where his throne sat - colorful cape trailing behind him - and came to stand in front of you, taking your hand instead. "I'm not really one for formalities." He grinned, shaking your hand. His palm was warm against yours, and you could feel some slight callouses - most likely from practicing his sword work.
