《Kings of Hawkings [bxb]》Chapter 14

Jonas and Hugh waltzed into the dorms, still amused by the incident in the cafe. They were surprised to see Travis, Jaiden and the other Kings crowded on the couch watching something on Travis' phone. They were so engrossed, that they didn't notice them come in.
They smirked and snuck up behind them and caught was on the video. They both were shocked when it was a video of what happened in the cafe.
Hugh leaned in. "When did they start recording?"
Jonas shrugged. "Trust St. Vincent's to always have a camera ready."
They stopped talking when they heard Jonas offer a magic trick.
"Abracadabra, motherfucker."
A loud crash.
"Tada!"
The boys on the couch were cracking up and were in tears. Jonas and Hugh also chuckled as the moved away from the couch. They shoved each other to the kitchen, grabbed a couple of drinks and then piled their homework on the table. Hugh and Jonas were sitting close together as Jonas worked through a couple of math problems with him.
They were trying to ignore the boys on the couch who were flipping through a number of videos, but always came back to the fight that happened at the Bean Coffee shop.
Sam was roaring with laughter as the replayed the video yet again. "I swear I never thought Hugh would meet his match with these outrageous antics. Seriously they are hilarious."
Travis giggled. "They are basically soulmates."
Millan had his head in his hands, "I can't believe Jonas was able to say all of that with a straight face."
Rodgers shook his head. "We probably shouldn't let them out by themselves again."
Hugh pouted when he heard this. He got out of his chair and hopped on Jonas' lap. Jonas automatically wrapped one his hand around his waist while still writing down a couple of solutions.
Hugh bent down and his lips brushed across Jonas' ear. The sensation made him jolt and stop writing. "Don't worry soulmate, I won't let them interrupt our dates."
Hugh was thrilled to see a small shade of pink on Jonas' cheeks. This was a new expression and he found it to be absolutely precious.

Jonas put his pen down and snaked his other arm around his waist, clasping his hands around Hugh's back. "We'll fight them off together, babe."
"Maybe our next date should be another St. Vincent's hang out location. Prep rally? Sporting event? House party?" Hugh grinned mischievously.
Jonas shook his head. "Do you want every date to be a brawl?"
Hugh bit his lip and winked. "Sounds heavenly."
Hugh rested his head on Jonas' shoulder and nuzzled his neck, enjoying hearing the sharp intake of breath from Jonas.
They were suddenly aware of the silence in the room and they turned their attention to the boys on the couch. They were all staring at the two of them with a slack jaw.
"When did you guys get back?" Millan asked.
Hugh looked at the clock. "A while ago. But you guys were just so bewitched by our magic skills." He started to mindlessly play with Jonas' hair.
Jaiden was blushing a little. "Um... what are you guys doing?"
Jonas held up his textbook. "Homework." There was no change in his expression.
"With Hugh on your lap?" Travis asked with bright eyes.
Hugh shrugged. "Best seat in the house."
"Are you guys together?" Sam asked with a raised eyebrow.
Jonas tilted his head a little. "Well, we were at the cafe together, and now doing homework together."
Sam groaned. "Like a relationship?"
Hugh gave him a confused look. "We have a great relationship. We all do, don't you think?"
"But... like.. emotionally together." Rodgers tried to jump in.
Hugh nodded enthusiastically. "It's like we're on the same wavelength. He's there to always cheer me up when I'm down."
Jonas snorted. "It's true. I can't handle him pouting."
Hugh puffed out his bottom lip and Jonas reached up quick and pinched it lightly, making Hugh laugh.
Travis shook his head. "We will never get anywhere with these guys when they are acting like this. Hugh, are you gay?"
"I like what I like, male or female." Hugh answered. Jonas felt a wave of excitement hit him.

"Ok. Jonas, what about you?" Travis asked.
Even though he felt the excitement, he had been so conditioned to answer one way. His mouth was already opened and was going to use the automatic answer he would give at St. Vincent's. He would give a knee-jerk response about loving pussy, but stopped himself before that garbage slipped out. He never had the luxury to really think about and contemplate his answer.
His eyes flashed to Hugh who was on his lap, and recalled every intense feeling Hugh had stimulated in him - comforting him, touching him, and being near him. Everything that Hugh generated in him was not simple. He didn't want to lie to himself and just ignore it. His eyes swept over the group and found people who would accept him no matter what.
"Bisexual, I believe." He said thoughtfully.
He noticed that when he answered, Hugh tensed a little and the hairs on his arms stood on end. Jonas looked up and saw that his ears were red, causing him to smirk inwardly.
Travis looked like a puppy. "And you two are..."
He waited for them to finish his sentence. Jonas and Hugh looked at each other, and Hugh winked before the both answered. "Kings."
Travis muttered something under his breath. "Boyfriends!"
"What about boyfriends?" Hugh asked. Both had perfected the blank stares.
Travis threw his hands in the air. "Fine keep your secrets. Just continue flaunting your insane, flirty, and violent friendship."
Hugh yawned. "Sweetheart, are you ready for bed?"
Jonas nodded and hooked an arm under Hugh's knees and stood up. Hugh remained in his arms and was lifted bridal style. Jonas nodded to them with a straight face and carried Hugh to the room and kicked the door shut.
When he closed the door, the others just stared are the closed door with a puzzled look.
"Dammit... are they together or not?" Travis groaned and fell back on the couch.
Inside the room, Jonas tossed Hugh on the bed, making him laugh. "I swear you have the best sense of humor. Those guys are probably dying right now."
Jonas shook his head and laughed too. He started to undress a little. But this time, he went a little slower than usual. He felt the desire to show off a little bit. He smirked knowing that Hugh was watching him from the bed.
And Hugh relished the show. He watched has Jonas' muscles move and flex more than usual. He groaned inwardly because of the warmth flooding his stomach.
When Jonas went to the bathroom to brush his teeth Hugh got out turned on the lamp. It had became one of his habits. He made sure the lamp was always on before the lights were turned off in the room. He also started to play some music on his phone then joined Jonas in the bathroom to brush his teeth.
He specifically waited for Jonas to climb into bed before he took off his clothes. Jonas licked his lower lip when he saw Hugh's shirt come off. His body type was leaner than his, but was still sculpted. When he was in his boxers, Hugh climbed into the same bed, resting his head on Jonas' chest.
"You hesitated about your sexuality. Have you not thought about it before?" Hugh finally asked. It was something he was curious about, and extremely nervous about. He was so scared that Jonas would say he was straight, and everything Hugh was feeling would be purely one sided. The moment that he paused to answer was painful for Hugh.
Jonas was rubbing his back with his thumb. "Before, I had expectations; be a happy, smart, straight male. Never expose yourself and never show that you are anything other than 'happy, smart, and straight'. But my brother told me when I left the house that if someone I trust ever asked about my sexual orientation that I stop and seriously consider it. I finally had the opportunity to do that."
"Wait, was that the first time you admitted you liked men?" Hugh asked and raised himself up on an elbow.
Jonas nodded.
Hugh grinned and moved upwards and planted a kiss on Jonas' forehead. "That is amazing! How do you feel?"
Jonas smiled and peered into Hugh's green eyes. "Good. Real good."

Trapped in a game with no rules, and surrounded by cutthroat players eager to kill for a quick windfall, Lily and her ragged band have no choice but to fight their way out, or die in a game that has turned all too real. Hi there! I'm setting off on yet another adventure, come join me :3 Unusually for me, there's only one perspective this time, and it's quite a bit more action-oriented than I usually write. Don't worry, though: everything's still as character-driven as always, and I never get tired of writing dialogue. Just to acknowledge it up front: this story is heavily inspired by EVE Online and the many stories generated by that world. However, since this is a fantasy setting, not sci-fi, don't expect any real parallels. Chapter publish rate for this one will be whenever I write them, as with Epilogue. I don't expect to move as fast here though, since it's not for NaNo. The plan is chapters somewhere in the 4k-5k range, and hopefully frequently. The Last Science takes priority as always though. Special thanks to Reaver and Ace Arriande for pushing me to get this going, and to all my fellow writers whom I've stolen from been inspired by. You're all wonderful people and I love you Quick reminder: Patrons get to read ahead of what's published! Also, try my other works: The Last Science — A Tale of Modern Magic Epilogue — A Post-Fantasy Psychodrama What are you still doing on the synopsis? Get to reading!
