The Deal

The moment he walked in he felt all eyes on him, knowing that since he had changed so much they wouldn't recognize him. He though recognized many of them but the only one he wanted to see was Blair. It didn't take him long to spot her, he'd know her anywhere. She looked more beautiful than he remembered and when their eyes locked he walked over to her, she was standing next to a blond woman.

"Blair, it's good to see you again." Tearing his eyes away from her he looks at the blond, realizing who it was. "Rachel, I didn't recognize you."

"Austin," she said, holding out her hand to shake his. "You look great, I see you've been working out."

He gives her a warm smile. He had always liked her, she was so shy and sweet. He could never understand how she and Blair became such good friends. "I have to say you look amazing, so pretty. But then you always were, inside and out."

Rachel looks at Blair and decided to leave, letting the two to get reacquainted. "Thank you, but if you'll excuse me I really must go see someone. It was really great seeing you again and I'm so glad you could make it tonight."

When she was gone he turned his attention back to Blair. "I got your message. I haven't heard from you in years so I was quite surprised to hear from you. You look great, but then you always did."

She found herself flustered being this close to him, his scent was alluring and he was drop-dead gorgeous. There was something different about him besides his looks, something hot and dangerous. "Austin, I'm so happy you could make it, it's been way too long since we've seen each other. Would you care to get a drink and maybe we could catch up on the old days?"

He watched as she swiped her tongue over her bottom lip. It was obvious she was aroused by the way her chest was rising and falling, the pupils in her eyes got larger and her breathing heavy. He knew at that moment he could have taken her somewhere and screwed her, but he was waiting for the right time. He was going to make her wait, make her pay for hurting him. "I'm sorry, I see some old friends I'd like to talk to, perhaps we'll talk later," he said, turning his back on her he walked away. He could hear her sigh of disappointment and chuckled to himself.

An hour later as she stood talking to an old flame and the music started Austin went over and asked her if she cared to dance. At first, she thought of turning him down since he had been ignoring her for the past hour. But she really wanted to get close to him, to get him alone so that they could talk. She was now nervous about asking him to help her by agreeing to be her husband, though a temporary one.

She was not expecting for him to be so bold as to place his hand so low on her back, close to her ass. The heat from his hand went right through the material of her dress. The warmth of his breath fanned across her neck when he leaned his head down.

"You smell so good," he said, pulling her in closer against him. "I can't believe you're still single."

She cleared her throat, her heart was racing. "I haven't found the right man. What about you, how is it you're here alone?"

"Well, when you emailed me I was thinking you were wanting to have me all to yourself. To be honest I was hoping to get you alone at some point. Let's take a walk somewhere quiet where we can talk without all this noise," he said, taking her hand they walked out into the hallway.

Once out in the hallway, they walked down the corridor and looked at all of the pictures. She was in many of them, as a cheerleader, and several other clubs she was in.

"You were so popular, head cheerleader, prom queen and dating the star football player. You haven't changed but he did. Just think, if you had married him you would have been bored to death."

"He's married now with kids."

"I know, I talked to him and his wife." He moved further down the hallway. 'So how has your life been?"

"Really good. I work for New Women's Cosmetics. I love my boss, he's the best. He actually has me practically running the company."

"Are you sleeping with him?"

She turns to him in anger. "No, why would you say something like that?"

"It was just a question."

"Mr. Ritter is a decent married man with a family and wife he adores. Not all women have to sleep with their boss to get ahead in business, and I'm one of them." She went to walk away in anger but was stopped when he took hold of her arm and put her up against the wall. His hands resting on either side of her on the wall.

"Forgive me. I didn't mean to imply that you use sex to get what you want." He looked down at her lips, she wore a light shade of pink. He was curious as to what her lips would taste like if he were to kiss them. "I bet you get hit on a lot."

"Not as much as you might think," she said, her hands resting on his chest. A warm tingling feeling filled her belly and moved down to her core which started to throb. She wanted him, wanted to know what it would be like to have him make love to her. "Would you like to go into the janitor's closet?"

He brushed his lips lightly across hers before whispering in her ear. "Lead the way." Damn, what was he thinking? This was too easy, he wanted her to beg for it and just one word from her he was once again following her as he did in high school. But she had never asked him into the closet before and he couldn't help it that his cock was overruling his brain.

Taking his hand they walked further down the hallway, turning a corner until they found what they were looking for. Just as she was about to turn the knob they heard giggles coming from inside the janitor's room.

"Looks like someone beat us to it," she said, smiling at him.

"It's just as well, I really didn't want to do it in a small, dirty room."

"Do it, did you think we were going to fuck?"

"Why else would you ask me to go in here with you?"

"Just to make out a little. I'm not the kind of girl that does it in a closet," she said, feeling a little angry that he would think that.

He laughed as he walked away, her following behind him. "I'm not a teenager anymore who makes out, I'm a grown man who fucks. It's a good thing the room is occupied, saves us both the embarrassment."

She followed him back into the hall and watched as he walked away, leaving her standing there all alone. Men kept asking her to dance, as she was in their arms she saw Austin dancing with several of the women. They were flocking to him, flirting and each one trying to get his full attention. Every now and then she would catch him looking her way.

It was getting near to the end of the night when he came over to her. "I see you still have all the guys drooling over you."

"I also see that the women here are all hot for you. Do you get this much attention everywhere you go?"

"Careful Blair, you're starting to sound a little jealous."

"I'm not jealous, I'm just glad to see you getting the attention from the very girls who ignored you in school. Now that you're a wealthy lawyer they are dying to get their hands on you and become Mrs. Cooke."

"What about you, would you like to become Mrs. Cooke?"

She swallowed the lump in her throat, if only he knew she thought. She let out a sigh of relief when Rachel walked over, saving her from answering him.

"Blair, would you be able to find a ride home? I'm going over to Warden's place for a drink. We're really hitting it off."

She looks at Austin before answering. "Yes, you go ahead and have fun. I'll take a cab home."

"There's no need to call for one, I can drop you off at your place," he said, his eyes staring into hers.

"Are you sure you don't mind? I wouldn't want to take you out of your way."

"It'll be my pleasure." He looks at his watch. "It's getting late so if you're ready to go I'd like to leave now?"

"Sure, just let me use the ladies room first then we can be on our way," she said, taking Rachel's arm dragged her along.

"Blair, what's wrong? You seem a little nervous. I thought this was what you wanted, was for him to take you home."

"I do, but he's different."

"I was talking to someone and they told me Austin is one hell of a ruthless lawyer. He is different, he's not the shy, naive boy he was back in high school. This plan of yours might backfire and you'll end up getting hurt."

"I have to take that chance, but you're right, he is different. I won't be able to just talk him into it so I'm going to have to seduce him. If sleeping with him is what I have to do then I will. He had always wanted me, now is his chance."

"Ugh, I think you're making a big mistake," she said, reaching into her purse takes out a condom and hands it to Blair. "I know you're on the pill but take this, you can never be too careful."

Smiling she takes it. "Thanks, but I'm sure he has his own. I better not keep him waiting. I'll call you tomorrow and let you know what happens."

"Blair wait. You don't have to do this, just start up your own company."

She gave Rachel a hug. "Thanks for worrying about me but I'll be alright. For years men have been using women so why can't we use them. I'll talk to you tomorrow."

Austin was waiting for her by the door, he smiled when he saw her walking toward him. "My car is right outside." Putting his hand on the small of her back they left the building.

Her eyes went wide when she saw his car. "Wow, a Porsche 911, is this your car? I've always wanted to ride in one of these."

"Yes it's mine and now's your chance," he said, opening the door for her. Once she was seated he went around to his side and got in.

"You must have just gotten it, it has that new car smell."

"Yes, a few days ago."

"I have a red Chevrolet Corvette, it's nice too but this, man it's amazing."

When they got to her building he insisted on walking her to her door, which she had planned on him doing. Taking her key from her purse she held it in her hand, turns to look at him.

"Would you like to come in for a drink before you leave?"

"I'd like that," he answered, taking the key from her hand he unlocks the door, handing it back to her he stepped aside, allowing her to go in first. His eyes looked over the place, it was elegant, classy and too damn clean he thought to himself. He figured she had a cleaning lady come in daily to keep it this spotless. It was not his cup of tea though, too much glass and expensive furnishings. He preferred the more lived in feeling, a place where you could come home after a long day and put your feet up on the table. Here he suspected she would freak if one did that, it was just too neat and clean for his taste.
