I got home from work and Violet was taking a nap on the couch . "Hey you're home." Alessandro said sitting next to her. I went up to him and kissed him. Then sat down.

I was 7 months pregnant and boy was I tired. Alessandro and I got married last year in December. We didn't waste anytime and in January I found out I was pregnant.

We also moved to Italy in December. Sandy and I cried the for two months. She was also pregnant with her first child and was due next month.

Violet and Alessandro instantly clicked. They had such a strong father daughter bond, I had to admit I would get jealous at times. This time we were expecting a boy.

Alessandro insisted that I stopped working but I obviously made it clear that I was going to work. I worked in the clinic that I founded along with him. I loved going out and working with the mobile units and helping low income families.

"How was work today?" Alessandro asked me. I didn't even realized I spaced out.

"Tiring." I said.

"You need to take a maternity leave. I don't like seeing you tired." He said.

"I know. For once I'm going to agree with you. My feet are so swollen. I'll go back when I have this little slugger" I said rubbing my huge stomach.

"I'm glad you listened to me for once" he laughed and kissed me.

"No problem" i said. "How was the office?" I asked.

"Boring without you and Violet." He said.

We heard the front door open. "Hey there doc" Matteo said walking inside.

"Matteo! I'm glad to see you." I smiled at him.

He moved to France and found a wonderful girlfriend. He would comes visit us every few months. They had a branch out in France and Matteo was in charge there.

"Me too doc!" He said. "I just came to say goodbye. Paulina arrives tomorrow and I have a late flight so I can see her when she arrives" he said with a huge smile.

"Aww this week has gone by so fast. We're going to miss you. Especially Violet." I said crying. These hormones definitely got to me.

"Aww don't cry doc. I'll fly in when my Nephew is born" he said. We said out goodbyes and Matteo was off.

We took Violet to her room and Alessandro laid her down on her bed. My, she was growing up so fast. She turned two a few months ago and she was so excited to become a big sister.

Alessandro and I went to our bedroom.

I took a quick shower and hopped into bed. I could feel Alessandro hugging me from behind. "Oh how I love having you in my arms" he said.

"Yeah that's how we made this little guy" I laughed rubbing my stomach.

"Thank you for everything" he said.

"What do you mean?" I asked turning around.

"Thank you for Violet, thank you for marrying me. Thank you for this little guy" he said rubbing my stomach. "And thank you for falling in love with me." He said smiling.

"No I should thank you, because you fell in love with me first and now we have all of this" I said kissing him.

"How about we thank each other" he said kissing me back. We both spent the entire night thanking each other.
