I woke up the next morning. I looked at myself in the mirror. My eyes were all puffy. I washed my face with cold water.

I changed and headed to Matteo's room. I knocked and went inside. Alessandro was next to him. "Doc!" Matteo said with a cheerful smile.

I ignored Alessandro and walked to Matteo. "Hey, how are you feeling? Any pain?"

"Yeah kind of." He said. I walked over to the little first aid kit and grabbed some pain meds. "This should help" I told him. I put the med into his IV. "I'm going to clean the wound. It might hurt a bit" I said.

"I'm strong doc" he said. Well it turns out he isn't that strong but the wound looked ok and his arm function seemed to be ok.

"Well your wound and arm looks ok. You might need some therapy but beside that you'll be as good as new." I said. "I'm heading to the clinic. I'll come check on you later" I told Matteo.

I walked out the door as fast as I could. Unfortunately I wasn't fast enough. "Aubrey." I heard behind me.

I sighed but didn't turn around "I'm running late" I said.

"We need to talk." He said.

"I can't, I'm busy" I said.

"Aubrey please I'm sorry. I was just worried about my brother and i..."

"Mr. Moretti, we can speak another time" I said and I walked away. I ran out the door. He followed me. Ugh. This man is so frustrating. "Lucca. I'm ready to go" I said.

"That won't be necessary Lucca. I'm taking Miss Emerson to work today. You can have the day off." He said. Damn it.

"Thank you sir" Lucca said and walked away.

I really didn't want to be with Alessandro right now. We walked to his car. He opened the door for me and I walked in without a word.

Alessandro tried to talk to me the entire way but I ignored him. We arrived to the clinic Head quarters.

I ran out of the car and I to the mobile unit. "We should go." I said. Unfortunately I wasn't fast enough. Alessandro walked in. They all greeted him.

"I will accompany you today" he said. Everyone nodded. I talked to the lead physician in the unit to see how it was working out. He said it was great. The people were so thankful. I was glad. That was the purpose of this.

We arrived to the community. It was a bit rural but not too bad. The people were lined up. The other physician and I dived the patients. Apparently he didn't like pediatrics so much, so I was glad to take the children. The nurse translated when needed.

Alessandro was walking around the unit observing how it was operating. I told him he couldn't be in here while I was treating patients. I could tell he wanted to argue with me but thankfully he let it go. I was down to my last little patient. He was a small boy. He had an ear infection and I have him some antibiotics. "Thank you doctor and please thank the cosa nostra" he said.

"The what?" His mother slapped him and the rushed out. What did that little boy mean?

The other physician was finished as well and we headed back.

Alessandro has been pretty quiet. It was pretty late and he drove us home. He didn't say anything on the way there but as soon as I opened the door he did "Aubrey we need to talk" he said.

"I'm really tired" I said.he grabbed my hand.

"Please" he said. He was looking at me with puppy dog eyes.

"Ok. Let's talk in your office, but let me check really quick on Matteo." I said. He nodded and headed to his office and i went to go see Matteo. Unfortunately he was asleep. So I headed to Alessandro's office.

I knocked "come in" he said. I walked in. He was sitting in his desk. I sat in one of the chairs in front of home. He looked at me. "Look Aubrey I'm sorry about being rude yesterday. I was just worried about Matteo. He's the only family that I have left."

"I know that. I know why you acted that way. What I want to know is why? Why was your brother shot? Why were you stabbed?" I asked him.

He looked away. "I already told you. Having money comes with a lot of enemies. People just randomly..."

"No Alessandro that's bullshit and you know it. Something is going on here. I'm not dumb. I can see something is going on here" I said

"Nothing's is"

"Fine Alessandro. Don't tell me anything" I said and walked out of his office. I didn't know where to run to. The first place I could think of was my bedroom. I could lock myself in there. Unfortunately Alessandro caught up to me before I could close my door. He had his hand on my door which prevented me from closing it "I want to be alone Alessandro" I said.

"No" he said. I tried closing it, but if course he was stronger that me.

"Fine I'll go to a hotel then." I walked away from the door and Alessandro came inside and closed the door behind him.

"You're not going anywhere." He said. He was blocking my exit.

"What the hell Alessandro. You don't own me. You may be rich and all but I don't care" I said pointing a finger at his chest. I walked towards the closet and grabbed my suitcase. "I'm leaving and you can't stop me" I said. Alessandro came up to me and grabbed me and thru me onto the bed. "What the hell do you think you're doing." He had me pinned down. He was on top of me and he was grabbing my arms. I was struggling to break free. "Let me go Alessandro!" I yelled at him.

"No you're mine and you're not going anywhere" he growled at me.

"I don't belong to anyone!" I said trying to break free.

"You don't get it do you? I love you!" He told me. Then he kissed me. I tried to keep struggling but my body enjoyed that kiss.
