《When Bad Boys Fall》Twenty-Four

I was nervous when the taxi we took stopped in front of a club with people lined up at the entrance. The name of the club had an LED outlined woman dancing and by the street were a few women in the shortest dresses I have ever seen. Some were smoking and some were talking to people in a car. Everything going on made me wonder what this place was like.
"Come on, Jackie."
I flinched when I realized that Amelia had already left the car so I followed suit and waited for her to turn around the taxi. Once she did, she held my hand and dragged me to the entrance of the place where she said something to the bouncer who looked at me and nodded.
He let us in and then Amelia dragged me with her into the bustling place. She let go of my hand to open the double doors of the place and the loud sound of music pumped in my ears. Flashing colored lights made me squint my eyes and when I walked into the place, my eyes spotted bare-chested girls dancing on some stages with people throwing money at them.
I didn't know what this place was but it was making me feel uncomfortable. I jerked slightly when Amelia took my hand and directed me to another part of the club that was dark and had fewer people. She stopped in front of a door and knocked then opened the door.
The first thing I saw was a small desk with one window. The walls were decorated with naked girls and sexy erotic pictures of two people. I had to force my eyes away as we neared the table where a fat man with a receding hairline sat, eyes closed with headphones on.

Amelia slapped the desk and the man jerked. He opened his eyes which widened when he saw he had an audience. My eyes went wide when I saw a red-haired woman rise from the desk, fully naked. I had to look away as I realized what had been going on behind the desk.
"Amy, baby. Sorry about this," the man said and I heard a slap. "You, get out."
From the corner of my eyes, the red-haired ran out of the office so I looked at the man again who made eye contact with me. A smirk appeared on his lips and his eyes scanned my body, making me stand closer to Amelia.
"How may I help you, Amy baby?"
"Remember when I said I'll bring a new girl?"
I narrowed my eyes at her back, wondering what she meant by that.
"Oh, wow. She's a beauty. What's your name?"
I gulped. "Jackie."
"Nice name. Are you ready for work, Jackie?"
Excitement filled my body at his question. Finally, I was going to get a job and I heard that working at clubs pays well if the club was running fine. This one looked like it had great customers.
"Yes, I'm ready to work now," I replied and the man smiled.
"Wonderful. So, are you familiar with works like these?"
I got confused as they had not said anything about what I was going to do.
"What work, please?"
Amelia smiled at me and eyed my body up and down.
"You want to make money, right? Huge amount of money in a very short time and pay off your debts, right?" She asked and walked up to me. "Jackie, I'm not sure if you know me around our dorm and all but I'm someone who is known for her work."

"W-what do you do?" I needed to know.
"Promise me you'll agree to this without thinking so much?"
I hesitantly nodded my head and Amelia grinned. She pointed at the man, making me look back at him.
"This is my boss. He owns this club," she said and crossed her arms. "So, he's in charge around here."
I nodded in understanding and waited for her to tell me about this job as I was getting impatient. If I had to start tonight, I would.
Amelia sighed. "Jackie, I am a... What's a mild word for it?"
"Hooker, slut, call girl," the man behind the desk said.
I stepped back in shock as I understood every meaning of the words he said. I opened my mouth to speak but no words came out. I had to convince myself that it wasn't the reason why she brought me here.
"You... Are you saying that you brought me here for this?"
"Yes, Jackie," Amelia replied.
"Are you out of your mind? I am not that desperate! The last thing I would do is sell my body for money. I mean no disrespect to your profession but I can't! This isn't the type of work I am looking for, this isn't what my morals are all about, this isn't the extent I can go!"
I was vibrating in anger. I was offended and wanted to leave this place. Amelia disgusted me and I wanted to simply find my way out of here. I turned around, ready to leave when Amelia called my name. I paused and looked over my shoulder.
"I know what you mean. I was once like you. I had nothing, I even thought of ending it all but I saw hope; my only hope, and I took it. Jackie, this may look like something that goes against your morals but you have a dream, right? You want to live a life without any more struggles, and sleepless nights, right? This job won't take away your self-worth. Listen, Jackie. I earn as much as $1000 in a week depending on my client and you are a beautiful woman, one that gets the attention of the room. Trust me, everything will go so well in just a few weeks. Don't you want to live freely?"
I hated how true her words were to my mind. I hated how my unfortunate life had led me to crossroads. My heart told me to not do much but my head told me otherwise.
"What do you say? I can even hook you up with a rich client of mine who will pay a huge amount in one night, you know," Amelia said and I gulped, weighing my options.
Should I do this or should I not? It was just sex, right?
