Willow's nose twitched as she smelled something odd. She opened her eyes to see that Rowan was not lying beside her. Furrowing her eyebrows, she groggily sat up.

"Rowan?" Willow called, but she got no reply.

Willow looked at the clock to find that it had been ten minutes since eight in the morning. Panick settled in her as she remembered that today was the day for her college to start.

Willow shot out of her bed and ran to the bathroom. She wondered if she had forgotten to set her alarm the night before, but she did remember setting it. Shaking it off, Willow took a quick shower, her body was sore after some exercise on bed, the previous night...with Rowan, so she had been hoping to get an hour early to take a relaxing bath and make some nice breakfast for the first day of her college.

Rowan had been disappointed that he couldn't attend the

college with her, he wanted to have a college romance with her, just like the high school romance, even Willow was a bit disappointed, but she knew that there has to be at least one responsible person in a relationship, though it was mostly Rowan , but at times like these, Willow had to pick up the role.

Ever since Rowan had turned eighteen, his responsibilities as the future king had increased and attending high school had just added to his burdens. So Willow knew that she had to stop him, before he would also apply for the college that she was aiming for.

Willow had successfully got in to an Art College, in New York. It has been a month since they had moved over to the city. Rowan had bought a penthouse in Manhattan,p and it took her at least half an hour to get to her college.

Willow quickly rushed out of her bedroom and clipped her dry hair back. She applied a light amount of makeup and then put on the clothes that she had chosen the previous night.

In her hurry, she didn't notice the odd smell, which seemed to be getting stronger.

Suddenly, Willow felt a few water drops on her head. Within a second, the door to her room opened and she was pulled into a hug and an umbrella covered over her head as it started raining in the room.

Willow blinked dumbfounded. She furrowed her eyebrows at Rowan who had some soot on his face, before her eyes widened in realisation. "Did you burn something?"

Rowan looked guilty as he avoided her eyes.

"Are you kidding me?" Willow said incredulously, she broke out of Rowan's arms and started rushing towards the door making Rowan follow after her with the umbrella. "Are you kidding me?"

"I'm sorry."

Willow glared at Rowan, she had been very fond of the kitchen here, though it took a while to get used to a new place, she had warmed up to the kitchen quickly. But now, the kitchen was a mess, with water still spraying in the kitchen, the stove had blackened along with the cooking pans and pots. "Did you also turn my alarm off?"

Rowan stayed silent, giving her the answer to her question.

Willow took a deep breath, trying to suppress her anger. "I'll be going now, I'm already running late, but I want this kitchen back to how it was when I get back."

Rowan looked up at her. "I'll drop you."

"No thank you." Said Willow, walking back to her room as the the water had stopped spraying, and she took her bag before stomping out, past the guilty Rowan.

When Willow started her car, her anger had already subsided but was replaced by guilt. She felt that she shouldn't have yelled at Rowan and the more she thought about it, the guiltier she felt. What if Rowan had turned her alarm off and burned the kitchen to make breakfast for her? In order to get some more time for her to rest?

Willow was already late when she got to her college, but she sneaked in unnoticed as she used her glamour, though she felt a little guilty for misusing her powers, which were recently thought to he pr by Axel, her father, she didn't want her first impression to be a bad one.

Willow made a few friends, one of them was a Vampire, the other two were werewolves and one was a human. They got along well, but Willow was still immersed in her guilt, at the end of the day, the group planned on heading to a cafe, to get to know each other better, but Willow declined the request, she had someone to apologise to.

On the way back, Willow stopped by McDonalds to get Rowan his favourites, before continuing back home.

The penthouse had been nicely cleaned when she got back home, in the living room, Felix sat beside Lark.

"Hey," Willow greeted. "Where's Rowan?" She couldn't feel him nearby.

"He went out." Said Felix. "You didn't have to thank me for fixing the house, but now that you have bought it for me, I'll gladly take it."

Willow frowned and swatted Felix' hand away, which was about to grab the paper bag from her hand. "I didn't get it for you."

"You bought it for this prince, didn't you?"

"No."

"Woah." Felix looked at her with puppy eyes. "I fixed the kitchen, and this is how you treat me?"

"Did you not say that I didn't have to thank you."

Felix scowled at her.

Willow walked over to the kitchen and, "Wow." She said turning to Felix. "You did a great job. What are you? Bob?"

Felix blinked. "SpongeBob?"

"SpongeBob isn't the only Bob, you idiot, there's also Bob the builder." Said Lark.

Willow nodded solemnly. "Lark's right."

Lark scoffed. "I'm always right."

Felix and Lark-who only came to eat sandwiches-left an hour later, Willow sat on the couch as she waited for Rowan to return. But when night fell, he still wasn't home yet. Willow, fell asleep on the couch, waiting for Rowan to return.

When Willow woke up, she was lying on the bed, it seem do like Rowan had returned late at night, but he wasn't lying beside her, though his scent remained and the bed was slightly warm as if he had been on the bed barely ten minutes ago. When Willow walked out, she couldn't find Rowan through the hose, he had already left.

This went on for a few more days, Rowan would return late at night after Willow would fall asleep and would be gone before she could wake up. He would reply curtly to her messages, saying that he was busy. Even their mind link had been blocked by him.

Till a week later, Willow returned back home, to find a box on their bed. She opened it to find a note placed on top of a red dress. It read, 'I'll pick you at seven'.

Willow felt her heart beat quicken, she had been depressed for the past few days after getting no response from Rowan.

At seven o'clock sharp, Willow felt Rowan outside the door. Putting the teardrop earring on top of her vanity table, Willow rushed to open the door. She threw herself on the surprised Rowan.

"Are you not cross with me?" Rowan asked hesitantly.

"Why would I be mad at you?" Willow looked up at Rowan. "No wait, I'm mad at you. Why would you ignore me?"

"That," Rowan rubbed his nape. "I was worried that you were mad at me for burning our kitchen."

Willow was left dumbfounded. "I'm sorry," she bit her lips. "I'm sorry because I was harsh with you."

"No, you had every reason to be. I shouldn't have done that, especially when I didn't even know how to cook back then."

"No, it's okay, really, at the end of the mistakes makes a man perfect."

Willow truly felt that Rowan being unable to cook was a good thing. He was just too perfect, and doesn't have to excel in every field out there.

Rowan leaned down, Willow shut her eyes instinctively as his lips met hers. His lips moved along hers, slowly but then he pulled back and buried her his head in her neck. It felt like a habit of his, placing his head on her shoulder and breathing into her neck. "If we go any further I don't think I'll be able to help myself. I still have to take you somewhere. So, shall we leave?"

Willow was breathless, her cheeks were red from the lack of oxygen. "Wait." She ran back to their room and put on her black coat. Grabbing her sling bag, Willow walked out and held onto Rowan's arm, clad in a tux. She smiled at him, "I'm ready."

Willow had been expecting Rowan to take her to a restaurant, but he instead took her to the floor above, where a huge hall was situated, which would only be used for special occasions.

The hall was decorated in red and black. Red and black balloons were hung up around it, rose petals were strewn around the floor. Willow was awestruck, even though she had lived in the hotel for a month now, she still haven't been to the hall. She could see the city through the 180 degree glass walls.

Willow turned to look at Rowan to thank him. But she noticed that he was a little nervous through their mate bond. Though he didn't look the part physically, when he noticed her gaze, he even smiled at her, giving nothing away. She didn't question it.

Rowan pulled the chair back for Willow to sit and pushed it in.

"I'm so lucky to have you as my mate." Rowan said, as he sat across her.

Willow was close to tears, she clearly knew who the lucky one here was. She took ahold of Rowan's hand and laced their fingers. "Are you sure? I feel like I'm the luckiest, with you as my mate."

Rowan pulled at her hand kissed on it. The server, then started serving the food.

Willow spooned some of the soup and sipped on it. Her eyes widened, the soup was too delicious. Even the steak for the main course was cooked perfectly, just the way she liked it. "This is too good." Will said as she put some mashed potato in her mouth.

"Really?" Rowan asked as he looked up at her. Willow furrowed her brows, she had a feeling that something was off with Rowan, from the beginning of the meal, he had been stealing glances at her, it felt as if he was gauging her reaction and that made him nervous.

Could it be that Rowan cooked the meal? But that seemed impossible, Rowan, who had burned their kitchen the other day, couldn't have made this meal. But then again, this is Rowan that she was talking about. "Yeah." Willow nodded, keeping her eyes on Rowan.

Rowan's eyes brightened, which didn't go unnoticed by Willow.

"Did you make this?"

"I—" Rowan cleared his throat. "I did."

"Is that why you were gone for so long?"

Rowan nodded. "Yes. I could only learn this, but I hope that you would help me with it in the future."

Willow couldn't help but grin awkwardly. This level of culinary, it was beyond her grasp. Even though, Willow used to enjoy baking at the age of fourteen, and she had slowly started cooking, so she could be said to have four years of practice, her food could never compare to the meal prepared by Rowan, who only took only one week to put a five star Michelin chef to shame. She doubted Rowan would even need her help.

"I'll try. But you shouldn't expect much from me."

It didn't take much longer for Rowan to master the art of culinary, and soon, Willow was banished from the kitchen whenever Rowan was at home.
