Felix raised his eyebrows. "I certainly did not, but you seemed to have gone crazy after missing me so much. "

"So crazy that even your hair started going crazy." Said Rowan.

"Why would my h—" Lark suddenly snapped his head to Willow. "What did you do to my hair?"

Willow raised her hand in surrender. "I didn't do anything."

"Willow did your hair?" Asked Rowan. "Now that I'm looking at it again, it looks rather good on you, it has enhanced your beauty, Beauty."

Lark touched his head, gently, as if he was touching a newborn's butt. He glared at Willow. "What did you do to my hair mortal?"

Willow handed him her phone with the camera on the selfie mode. "Listen to Rowan, just ignore the sarcasm."

Lark stared at his reflection. "I do look good."

"Yep, don't let them put you down, they don't even know what fashion is."

"I might not know what fashion is but I certainly know that, that thing is not fashion." Felix snickered.

"Don't listen to them." Said Willow. "Those buns are so in. You should always remember that 'Haters gonna hate and bakers gonna bake' these are the golden words of Taylor Swift."

"Isn't it 'Haters gonna hate and players gonna play'?" Asked Rowan, who had been recently tutored by Willow.

"Those are the golden words of Namjoon."

"But it was also—"

"Where is my PB and J side witch?"

"You mean sandwich?" Asked Willow.

"Are you talking about this?" Asked Felix with a mouthful of sandwich and holding a small piece of it.

"You stole my side witch!"

"I didn't know it was yours." Said Felix, putting the rest in his mouth.

"How dare you eat this Prince's side witch!"

"It's a sandwich." Said Willow.

"What are you going to do about it?"

"I will make you eat a faerie fruit." Said Lark.

"Really? Now how do you plan to acquire a faerie fruit? From what I hear, you've been exiled from the lands of faerie."

Before Lark could answer, Willow's phone, which was in Lark's hand went off with a familiar ringtone. Lark cringed and was about to throw her phone away as if it was a time bomb with a second left for it to go boom.

Rowan snatched it away before he could.

"What are you doing?" Yelled Lark.

"It's a phone call, nothing harmful."

"I don't care, throw it away!"

Rowan frowned at Lark and handed the phone over to Willow. Willow looked down to see that it was Melody calling.

"Hello?" Willow answered the call, and turned around, getting that non existent privacy.

"Where are you?"

"I'm at my home. I was kind of kidnapped." Willow said sheepishly.

"You kidnapped her?" Willow heard Rowan ask Lark.

"Are you okay?" Asked Melody.

"I did not kidnap her."

"I'm fine." Willow said quickly.

"So you mean to say that my mate is lying?" Said Rowan. "Even if she was, I'll choose to believe her than you."

"Willow?" Willow could hear Melody on the other side, confused. "What was that?"

"Just some flies Mel, don't bother about it." Said Willow.

"Flies?" Willow could hear Lark say incredulously. "Did she just call me a fly? I'm going to kill her."

Willow then heard some shuffling behind her, turning around, she found Felix holding back a thrashing Lark. Willow staring at him seemed to set something off in him as he stared to pull away, she was about to turn around and run away when Lark turned to push Felix away. But when he turned, he might have exerted a lot more energy because Felix slipped and fell making Lark, who was held back by Felix also fell making Felix cushion the fall.

Willow felt her eyes widen and her mouth fall when she saw what happened next. She felt like she was watching a Spanish soap opera, because in a blink of an eye Lark's lips were touching Felix's.

Lark and Felix seemed to have frozen. As if they too couldn't believe what was happening. Their eyes wide, as they stared at eachother in utter shock.

Willow could hear Melody on the other side asking if she was okay, but Willow didn't answer.

Felix was the one who broke out of the reverie as he pushed Lark. "Get off me!"

Lark scrambled off Felix, but his eyes were still glazed.

Felix shot up to his legs and rushed up the stairs. Though his face showed that he was horrified, his ears which had tinged red, stated otherwise.

Lark, who had wanted to kill Willow, too rushed rushed out saying something about tying Ash to the tree.

"What was that?" Said Willow.

"What was what?" Asked Melody through the phone, who was dying from curiosity.

"That," said Rowan. "Was something."

Willow could only nod.

Willow was standing in the school library, looking around she could see many people but she couldn't put a face on anyone, it felt as if they all lacked face.

"I, Alpha Hunter Reed, reject you, Willow Greene as my mate."

Willow felt her eyes widen when she heard the familiar words. Rushing towards the voice she found herself standing in front of Hunter. But they didn't notice her.

"What the heck!" Willow said as she stared in horror at the familiar scene before her. But they didn't listen to her, they didn't even turn towards her.

Willow then saw Hunter walk away, then she heard Willow's clone scream and fell over, as if she was just a mere puppet and her strings had been cut off.

Willow yelled as the other students who had been in the library rush to the clone, but none of them even spared her a glance, as if she wasn't even present there. It didn't take her long to guess that she was actually invisible to the people present here.

Willow saw JR come in and pick the clone up after typing something on his phone. As he was rushing towards the door, Willow saw Melody rush in, her face turning pale.

Willow rushed out with them, trying to talk to Melody, but she got no response.

JR laid the other Willow down on the infirmary bed. Melody stood on the other side and held tightly onto the other Willow's limp hand.

Willow didn't listen to what they were talking about she just stared at the whimpering girl lying on the bed, as if she had been wounded badly.

Willow could make out few words from Melody, her saying that it was all going to be alright.

"Hunter." Sobbed the girl lying on the bed. "Please don't leave me."

Willow was taken aback, why would the other her call out for Hunter of all people. She couldn't believe why she would do that, Willow blamed it on the huge crush she used to have on Hunter, but she still couldn't make out why the other her would call out for Hunter as if he was the one who afflicted the pain on her.

Soon the nurse called a doctor.

"I'm sorry dear, but Willow doesn't have long to live." Said the doctor.

Willow was shocked. Even Melody, kept on denying the truth asking the doctor if he was joking.

Then the doctor said something about her being rejected and the only way for her to live was if she was accepted by her mate.

Willow couldn't make out why this would be happening now, she was sure that she hadn't met Rowan around this time.

"Can't we call her mate?" Melody asked JR.

"I'll call him."

Willow continued staring at the sobbing Willow who called out for Hunter every now and then, asking him not to leave her.

While JR was trying to make Hunter come here. He said something about how Willow is going to die if he doesn't.

Even Melody asked Hunter to come. She even begged Hunter to come. Willow had never heard Melody beg before, she had her pride which never let her.

Hunter in the end listened to none as he hung up the phone.

They took her over to Melody's home. JR and Melody stayed up all night waiting for the other Willow to wake up, but she didn't.

The other Willow's breath started ceasing, till her chest moved no more, when the sun hit the sky again.

"She—she's no more." Said JR. Melody who was sitting beside him, started sobbing hysterically.

Willow snapped her eyes open, her face was wet. Willow thought that it must be sweat lining her face, but upon touching her face, Willow found out that she had been crying.

Willow didn't normally remember what she dreams about and since last year, it was as if her body was too tired after feeling the cramps to dream. But recently, she hadn't felt the cramps anymore and she felt refreshed, but dreams aren't something she remembers only glimpses of it, but tonight, she remembered everything, every word. At the moment, she felt wide awake.

Willow wiped her tears away and sat up on the bed and leaned over to help her dry throat. But her water bottle was empty. Sighing Willow got up on her wobbly feet. It took her a moment to stabilize herself. She looked at the bedside clock to find that it was still two AM She headed to the kitchen, past the living room.

Willow refilled her bottle and took a sip as she started to head back to her room. She had to clean up the spare room earlier to make place for Lark to stay in and also help to find a perfect spot for Ash, Lark's faerie steed, it had actually worn her out.

"Willow?" Willow jumped when she heard Rowan coming down the stairs.

"Hey." Said Willow.

"Can't sleep?" Asked Rowan, but then his eyes widened when he noticed her red eyes. Rowan moved forward towards her and pulled her in his embrace. "Are you okay?"

"I don't know." Willow's voice was muffled, since her face was buried in his chest.

Rowan didn't say anything as he continued rubbing her back. Willow breathed in his familiar scent and felt relaxed. It felt like home. He felt like home.

"Can you go back to sleep?" Rowan pulled back and looked her in the eyes.

"I guess." Said Willow.

Rowan cupped her cheeks. "Do you want me to sleep with you?"

Willows lips parted as a blush crept up her cheeks. "I—"

"I don't mean in that way, I'll sleep on the couch."

Willow wondered if she made him take the couch then the members of Rowan's Harem would really bury her alive but if she'll make him share a bed with her, wouldn't that make them angrier, if they were to find out?

"No," said Willow, as her cheeks reddened more than it already was. "You can actually. You don't have to sleep on the couch."

"Oh, okay." Willow stared at Rowan through her lashes to find that he was flustered. Willow's heartbeat quickened.

Even though they hug normally and kiss every now and then, Willow still felt that sleeping on the same bed, even with their clothes on, was like taking their relationship to the next level. It felt much more intimate.

"Come on." Rowan pulled Willow along with her. "I'm expecting a bedtime story."

"Yeah yeah, of course." Said Willow as she entered her room behind Rowan.

Willow got under the comforter and stayed on one side lest she roll over. Rowan soon followed, but he pulled her closer to him and wrapped his arms around her and dropped a peck on her forehead.

"Story."

"I'll tell you the story of the Little Mermaid."

"That one has a tragic ending, I want a happy one."

Willow had been planning on telling the Disney version, which has a happy ending. "Don't worry, they do live away happily ever after."

Rowan turned to his side. "Okay."

"Once upon a time there lived a princess, a mermaid princess. The princess had just went through puberty and liked to believe that no one could understand her, especially her single father..."
