"Ah!"

Willow stared with horror clearly showing on her face. She couldn't believe that one day of drinking less water will have this effect on her. She had a big, red pimple smacked right in the middle of her forehead.

Normally, Willow wouldn't have cared much. But at this point in her life, she only wanted to show the best side of her to Rowan. She didn't even know where she stood with Rowan. They were soulmates, alright, but does that make him her boyfriend? Because she can't go around telling people that he is her soulmate now, could she?

Nope, everyone would probably take it as a joke in the beginning but when she keeps on insisting on it, they'll probably book a psychiatrist for her.

What do you do if you wake up with a pimple on your forehead? Yes you turn to Google. And that's exactly what Willow did.

The first tip she saw was to put a band aid on it. Well, no.

Second was to cover it up with makeup, which was a good idea, but she didn't have a strong concealer, which would cover which would cover a bloody red pimple.

The third tip was to put garlic on it. She'd like to pass on it. First of all garlic would probably sting, second her soulmate is a Vampire.

The fourth was to pop the pimple. Willow threw her phone on her bed.

Willow wondered whether google was playing with her, and if it was then she didn't like it.

Sighing, Willow looked back in the mirror, wondering if she should just let it be. Her eyes moved lower and a blush creeped up her face. Her neck still had the bite mark left over by Rowan. She felt like it was like a hickey, making her face as red as it could get.

Willow was about to shower when an idea popped in her head.

Willow went back to get her phone. In five minutes she was standing back in front of the mirror with scissors in her hand. Following the YouTube instructions, she cut off her front hair, which she had parted, leaving a triangle on the top.

Willow looked at her newly cut bangs, which was not quite where she wanted it to be. Cutting up some more, she still felt like it was longer than normal, so she cut up a bit more. Nope, can't do. Now she cut up a bit longer hair and—and her bangs were too short.

Willow looked at the mirror, horrified. Her hair was supposed to fall over brows, then why were they a centimeter above her brows? Baby bangs did not suit her, not even a bit.

Willow sobbed without any tears to spare. Looking at the bright side, her pimple was covered, though she ended up messing her bangs. But she did have to thank God that her hair was nowhere close to those hair fail videos.

After taking a shower, Willow rushed to her closet. Picking out her clothes for the day, she headed back into the bathroom to dry her hair. Willow brushed her newly cut bangs, in hopes of growing them just a centimeter more. But it stayed the way it was. Willow could clip back her hair, but in order to do that she'll have to leave her pimple out in the nude.

Willow left her hair down. She put on her baby pink sweater tucked in a short denim skirt. She got in her brown boots and rushed to the vanity. Putting on some mascara and some gloss she rushed out of her room, before running back in and grabbing her school bag she ran to the kitchen.

Willow was a good cook in general. She had been planning on showing off her cooking to Rowan, but she was late and couldn't make the waffles she had been planning on.

"Where are you rushing to?" Asked Rowan who was coming down the stairs. He was dressed up for school in a white tank paired with a Tommy Hilfiger jacket, with some dark jeans. His black schoolbag was half slung on his shoulder

"Kitchen." Willow answered breathlessly.

When Rowan looked at her, he raised his brows. "What's up with your hair?"

"Just felt like it." Willow answered not wanting to elaborate. "Where's Felix?"

"In bed, probably."

Willow's eyes widened. "Why is he not awake yet?" Does he not normally wake up along with the sun.

Rowan shrugged. Willow couldn't believe this. There was thirty minutes left for school to start, they still haven't had their breakfast yet and it'll take at least fifteen minutes to get to school. They'll also have to get Rowan's and Felix's schedule. Willow's was already emailed to her two weeks ago.

"Hey," Willow felt Rowan cup her cheek. "Relax okay?" His other arm snaked around her waist and pulled her closer to him.

And Willow did, relax that is. She leaned into his hand and sighed in bliss. She wanted to stay in this position for the whole day and not move at all.

Willow heard someone running down the stairs. Looking up she found Felix with his blonde hair all over his face, as if he just rolled out of his bed and was standing there in rumpled clothes, glaring at Rowan.

Willow scrunched her brows at Felix. "Did you just walk through a hurricane?"

"Why don't you ask your boyfriend?" Was his reply.

Willow looked at Rowan.

Rowan shrugged, looking all innocent. "I might have had asked him to come down through our mind link."

"You threatened me!"

"Mind link?" Willow gasped, ignoring Felix. "You can speak telepathically?"

"Well, yes."

Willow didn't even get a chance to look at Rowan in awe because Felix seemed to be squinting his eyes at her.

"You have something on your forehead." Said Felix.

"That's my hair." Said Willow without sharing a second.

"No, it's red and—"

"That is my hair." Said Willow. "Let's go we're getting late!"

Willow rushed into the kitchen and grabbed some energy bars. She handed them over to Rowan and Felix before heading outside, ready to drive to school.

"What is this?" Asked Rowan.

"Breakfast." Said Willow before freezing.

In front of her were two sleek sports cars parked. Willow was sure no one in her neighborhood drives them. Shaking her head, Willow was about to head to the garage when Rowan pulled at her hand.

"That is our ride." Said Rowan pointing at the black car.

"That's yours?"

Rowan nodded.

"Did you not say that you were trying to lay low here?" At least that is what Rowan had told her on the ride back from the palace, which had taken more four hours. It was one hell of a long ride.

Rowan nodded again.

"Are you sure you can lay low with cars like those?"

"What about the Hummer?"

Willow looked where Rowan was pointing at, and there was a Hummer, standing confidently.

"Now that will do." Even though it was far from staying low, but it was better than those sleek sports cars, way quieter than the loud sports cars, though it was bigger in size. "Okay bye now, see you at school."

Rowan didn't let go of her hand. "Where are you going?"

Willow didn't know how to bring this up, so she had left it for the last moment. "Well, you see," Willow began slowly. "I'm not really liked at school, so it'll be better if you act like you don't know me—"

"Willow—"

"—I don't want your school life to be affected by me. I really want you to enjoy school like anyone would and I get it—"

"Willow—"

"—that you were homeschooled your whole life and school can be fun someti—"

"Willow!" Rowan yelled.

"Why are you yelling?"

"You're my mate okay? I don't care what people think of you, we'll be together forever, and if they don't like it they can just fuck off."

Willow's eyes widened, she was sure she had never heard Rowan swear before, so it's true that bad habits are easier picked than good ones.

"You're mine and I'm yours. So every problem you come across we'll face them together."

Willow stared at Rowan, his beautiful golden eyes were serious. She didn't know who leaned closer, but there they stood, Willow on her tiptoes and Rowan hunched over Willow. Willow could feel Rowan's breath fanning her face, her bangs were fluttering, but she couldn't bring her eyes away from his red full lips.

"Please, guys don't do this to me." Said Felix, pulling them out of their reverie. "We're already running late and here you are making out on the porch."

Willow had to avert her eyes away from Felix to avoid glaring at him. They were so close, another second then Rowan would be kissing her.

"And who's at fault for that?" Asked Willow, shifting all the blame at Felix as they headed to the Blue Hummer. "If only you would have set your alarm right, we wouldn't be here."

Felix gaped at Willow. "If it wasn't for me your house would have had been a mess. An utter mess."

It was true though, when Willow had last seen her house, it was as if it had barely survived an earthquake. It was Felix who had set the house right, the end result was that it didn't even look like it was messed up in the first place.

Willow set her lips in a thin line, now she did feel guilty. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have blamed you like that."

Rowan pulled open the door to the passenger's side and smiled at her, making Willow feel all gooey inside as she slid in. He helped her with her belt before running to the other side as Felix got in the car, rolling his eyes.

Felix, putting his nose up in the air said, "I forgive you, this time, just because your my friend's mate."

Willow rolled her eyes before blinking. "Mate? As in short for soulmate?"

Felix looked at her she had gone crazy. "Did you not know?"

Willow looked at Rowan. "You mean mate is short for Soulmate?"

"Yes." Said Rowan as he followed the instructions given by the GPS. "And when those people say 'mate' they mean to say Soulmate."

"But why would they?" Said Willow. "Why would they even think that Hunter out of all people is my soulmate?"

Willow couldn't believe it. Hunter was the reason that her life was turned into hell. How could anyone ever do that to their soulmate? Fine, she might have had liked him at some point but that was all her hormones, what she felt for Hunter couldn't even put a candle to what she currently felt for Rowan.

Willow shook her head, sighing. These people must think of her as a masochist, that she loved pain in that way, which she didn't. Is that why they thought that they were soulmates?

"Wait," said Willow when she remembered someone. "Is JR a Vampire—no he must be a Werewolf, isn't he?"

"He is."

Willow wondered if Melody knew. Now that she thought about it, Melody also used to call him her 'mate' and she also had a—

"You bit me yesterday." Said Willow, her face heating up. "Melody has something similar on her neck, and it's been there for a year. Won't this go away?" Willow pointed at the place where the bite rested, which was covered by her sweater.

Felix groaned from the backseat, but like the third wheel that he was, he was ignored, making him regret that he didn't choose one of the other cars to drive.

"Do you want it to go away?"

Willow was taken aback. Did she? No she didn't. It felt like he had left his mark on her, as if he had claimed her. It felt so intimate. "I—no."

Rowan smiled one of his 'I'll make you pregnant just by lifting my lips' smiles. "Then it won't."

Willow felt her heart skip a beat. "Okay." Willow rubbed at the bite mark, she swore that she felt tingles over it.

"That is a mark. You mark your mate, to make the mate bond deeper than it already is, it also makes others known that you have a mate, and would also keep other unmated males away."

Willow stayed quiet, she wanted time to take everything in.

And just like that, in minutes Rowan was pulling up at Onyxscar High.
