{A Year Back}

A squeak left Willow's lips the moment she fell, in order to avoid falling face first on the ground, she held her hands out to avoid hurting her nose, but she ended up hurting her knees with a loud 'bang'. Willow shut her eyes tightly to avoid her eyes from pricking with tears at the intense pain that shot up from her knees.

Willow had been walking down the when she fell. She was sure there was nothing in her path and one can't just trip from air.

Willow turned her head back, scrunching her eyebrows to frown at the person who tripped her but she regretted it the very moment. Hunter stood behind her, his eyes which were staring at her were filled hatred. Such intense hatred that Willow felt like his eyes could burn through her.

When she saw his look , she wondered if he was staring at his enemy instead of Willow? She was sure she was the only one on the ground and in his line of sight.

Willows heart ached at the hate filled eyes. She didn't know why she was suddenly attracted to Hunter. Sure he was very handsome and she might have had been drawn to him were it not for his personality, but what she now felt wasn't just a crush, she felt like they were long lost lovers and she knew that the books she had started reading were at fault.

Just thinking about that made Willow feel like she was crazy. She decided to blame it on life. It was human nature to be attracted to something or someone beautiful.

"Such a klutz." The way Hunter said it filled with so much disgust, made Willow's eyes pool with tears, making Willow wonder if she was on her period. Willow wasn't a clumsy person in general. She couldn't even remember the last time she had fallen.

What did Hunter expect from the person he had purposely tripped? For them to flip on their back and land back on their feet? Willow was sure she couldn't do that.

Hunter side stepped and walked away, his friends following after him. The moment he was far away, the hallway which had been deathly silent, came back to life.

"Hey, are you okay?" Willow looked up to find Jamie-Ray, standing in front of her, his hands stretched out to help her up.

Willow smiled as she accepted his help to stand up. "I'm good."

"I'm sorry about that." Said Jamie-Ray, making Willow wonder how in the world did he end up being friends with Hunter.

"It's fine. I have to go. Thank you though."

Willow stopped short when she took a few steps. "Thank you, for the other day." Melody had informed her that it was JR, who had found her in the library. She owed it to him, or else she would have had been left there, as a corpse probably.

"No worries, it was my job."

Willow knew that were it not for Melody, she would have had developed a crush on JR. She was sure that Melody had a crush on JR, though she denies it, but Willow had often seen Melody steal glances at JR.

Willow didn't want anything to come in between their friendship.

Willow continued to walk to her first class which was Biology, brushing away what had happened just minutes ago with Hunter.

But little did she know that Hunter had just inaugurated the opening ceremony of her stay in Hell.

That night, as she was about to go to sleep, she felt a light pain in her lower abdomen, making her wonder if something was wrong with her cycle. But it grew, at a very fast pace, till she was left a screaming mess.

Willow felt like someone was repeatedly stabbing her. It wasn't like period cramps, it was ten times worse. She doubted she could live through the night. She felt like she was dying, no, she felt that it was better to die than to feel what she was feeling. Death felt like an escape from the horrible feeling in her lower abdomen.

Venice, her mother had rushed to her room at her scream, to find her curled up on her bed with her arms locked up under her knees, tears streamed down her face fasted than the water falling down the Niagara falls.

She was taken to the hospital the very night, only to find nothing wrong with her. Though the doctor informed her that she might have appendicitis or an ovarian cyst, the ultrasound scans proved otherwise.

Willow skipped school the following day, but she felt the same cramps that night.

The next day, she did go to school since she had already missed out a lot a few days back because she was unconscious for three days straight. Willow wondered what was wrong with her. How could she faint for three days just because the Adonis of her school 'rejected' her? That couldn't be the case.

The moment she stepped in, the whole of student body froze making Willow flush. She wondered if they still remembered what happened with Hunter the other day. But thankfully Melody was by her side.

Willow walked down the hallway, she felt hands shove her, making her fall to the ground. Unlike the other day, this person didn't even try to be subtle. But atleast this person wasn't two faced unlike someone.

"Do you want to die?" Willow heard Melody yell at the person.

Willow was too angry to listen to their conversation. She got up and dusted her jeans before smiling at the culprit. "Fuck off."

Willow didn't normally swear much, but she was very much irritated, she couldn't sleep the whole night and here was this person who was trying to bully her.

She pulled Melody along with her, who looked like a proud mother.

Willow knew that if she didn't stand up for herself then the bullies would continue their job of ruining lives. But unlike other bullies, her school mates took it as a challenge to make her life hell.

It all started with her being shoved about, and her being tripped by their foot. It got to the point that she bested side stepping and jumping over feet. They all grew bored and it had come to a stop slowly.

Then came Triple Jordan, the most beautiful girl in the school, she was perfect in every aspect and she was also Hunter's girlfriend. With hair which looked sun blessed, eyes as blue as the sky and her body which every person wishes to have either for themselves or to themselves. As far as Willow could remember, Triple had always been a nice person. But she didn't know what happened for Triple to hate her. Willow didn't talk about Triple behind her back, nor did she vandalize anything that belonged to triple, she didn't even try to enact her crush on Hunter or try to seduce him. She knew many girls did that.

Willow wondered what in the world she did to catch both of their attention, that too in the worse way possible.

Willow was able to grab a peaceful night's sleep, she didn't know why but the cramps didn't stay for long, it was there for a minute and gone the next, but that day Triple came out of no where and dumped one full bottle of strawberry juice on her. "Whore!"

"What the—"

"You better stay away from him." Triple shoved her, making Willow hit the lockers hard.

The very day, as she was waiting for Melody to get her a change of clothes in the ladies locker room, in one of the bathing cubicle, she heard her name being said. It wasn't new to her. She had become very popular in her school, that one can't go without talking about her. This one time she had heard someone tell her friend about how she heard a from her other friend who heard from her cousin who heard from her mate's sister about how the Alpha rejected Willow.

"Don't tell this to anyone." Willow heard a familiar voice say, it took Willow a moment to remember who, it was Addison, one of Triple's friends. "Yesterday night, I heard him call out for Willow."

"What?" The other was Justice. "What do you mean?"

"They were doing it."

Justice gasped. "Goddess! For real?"

"I heard it myself. I had to go to the pack house with my dad. I thought I might just meet up with Triple."

"So they are actually mates?"

"Must be. Why else would he call for that whore while fucking Triple and why would Triple pour the juice on that whore if it wasn't true? Now that I think about it, we might have a change in our future Luna."

"But isn't Triple sure that she will be the Luna?"

Willow heard them walking away.

"It's the mate bond we're talking about. You never know when the Alpha might throw Triple away and take Willow back." Willow heard Addison's voice fading away, the whole conversation made Willow wonder if they were even talking in English.

In a few minutes Melody had returned with an oversized Tee, which Willow quickly changed into.

But that day Melody found out about her unending cramps. Willow was sitting in her psychology class when it hit. She tried to ignore it, but just like always it was growing into an intense pain. She couldn't hold it in as a sob broke out of her. She was praying, praying that it would stop just like it did the night before. But it didn't. She clutched her stomach tightly, not noticing that everyone had turned to her. She didn't know how, but when it finally stopped she was lying in the infirmary. Melody and JR, who had recently started dating, had both come, running to her.

Melody made her explain what had happened. And she did, Willow told her everything. By the end of it, Melody was sobbing, leaning into JR who rubbed her back and kept on muttering that 'It'll be alright'.

"I'm sorry Luna, I couldn't protect you." Said JR, to her! Willow wondered if he was alright, if he had short termed amnesia which she had been learning about half an hour ago.

"Are you okay?" Asked Willow, concerned. "Who's Luna?" She was actually curious, she had also heard Justice and Addison talk about this Luna earlier.

JR grinned. "You are."

Willow helplessly looked at Melody, who giggled between her tears when Willow said, "Your boyfriend needs help."

Thankfully he never again called her Luna.
