《The Reject (COMPLETED)》Chapter 7: The Prince.

Rowan had never been as lost as he was then. He didn't know how or why Willow could see him as he was, without the glamour up on him. As fas as he knew, Willow was a human. He had made sure before they moved in here. Then why?

It wasn't that he was weak, no in fact he was one of the strongest. His glamour had no imperfections, he knew that. Then how can she see his true eyes?

Rowan had glamoured his eyes to match to a human's. Golden wasn't a common eye color. He was one of the very few people who had golden eyes. The others being his father and his ancestors.

As Rowan climbed the stairs to his room, he couldn't stop thinking about Willow. He wanted to know why he felt an urge to protect her, why he wanted to hurt anyone who hurts her. At the cafe earlier, it took everything in him to not run and hurt the person who made her cry, dry. Till he was begging to be let free. But why? Why was he attracted to her? Could it be that- no, that's impossible. He has to be a full adult, he was still seventeen, not old enough to find her, his mate.

Could it be possible that he was developing a crush on her? Rowan once thought that he had a crush on Annie Melborne, later on he found out that he thought of her more of a friend than a crush, more like a little sister. But it was nothing like how he felt at the moment towards Willow.

Should he talk about this to Felix? Felix surely was an expert at this, thought Rowan.

"I fancy Willow." Said Felix.

Rowan snapped his head to Felix and frowned at him. Was he serious? He didn't want anyone to like his Willow. Wait what? Willow wasn't his, she wasn't his mate, then why does Felix liking her make Rowan angry? He had never been so lost before. All this put the maze back at the palace to shame.

"You don't." Rowan tried to say it calmly, but it came out as a growl. He threw away the thought of asking Felix about his now developing crush on Willow out the window.

That made Felix pause and stare at him with disbelief painted on his face. "I was just trying to gain your attention." Said Felix, raising his arms in a surrender. "Do you though? Fancy Willow, that is."

"I don't know." Said Rowan, when he calmed down. It was the truth though, he wasn't sure what he felt for Willow.

"Well then," Said Felix. "What are you gonna do about Willow?"

"What do you mean?" They were now in front of Rowan's room, opening the door to it, Rowan sat on the bed before laying on it. It wasn't as big as the bed at back home but it will make do.

"She can see your eyes."

"And?"

"She might start believing that she is going mad."

That made Rowan sit up straight. "Why would she do that?"

"Humans have frail minds." Said Felix, as if that would explain everything. "But then again, what if she's not a human?"

"What is she then?" Asked Rowan sarcastically. "A witch?"

"Maybe. Witches are after all good with magic, for all we know she is one." Felix was dead serious.

"She's not." Said Rowan, and he was sure of it. Rowan had seen witches back home, they even had a Royal sorcerer. They all reeked of Magic. Willow didn't, she smelled sweet, so sweet that Rowan found it very hard to stop himself to taste her, just a drop, that is all he wanted, a drop of her blood.

When he had first met her, her blood had been the reason he was drawn to her. The sweet scent of her blood had been thick in the air. He had been dying to lick the blood off her chin, and it scared him. He wasn't supposed to loose control, not over himself nor on the situations he faced but she made him loose it all and he would too, gladly. But logic told him he should be against it, he was after all the Crown Prince of the Vampires.

"So that means that you are in love with a Robot."

Rowan threw the closest thing he could find at Felix, which was his phone. Ah shit!

Felix had told Rowan not to worry, that he would take care of Willow. That worried Rowan more than anything. Felix was the type of person who'd think of fist over anything else so Rowan doubted he could come up with anything in the first place.

Felix called it as 'Mission 156'. Rowan wasn't sure what he would do and he wasn't looking forward to it either.

Rowan walked downstairs after taking a long shower and he could smell her before he saw her. Willow was in the kitchen with her red hair tied up in a bun, standing before the stove. When she looked she looked up at him, she broke into a smile. A breathtaking smile. And it did take the breath out of Rowan.

Clearing his throat, to avoid stuttering, "Good morning." He wished.

"Morning!" She looked to be in a merry mood. It made Rowan smile.

"What are you making?"

"Pancakes." Willow replied. "Why don't you sit? I'll have it ready in a minute."

"Of course." He said before stepping towards her. Reaching up to her face he wiped the flour off her face. It was warm under his fingers and it grew warmer and reddened within seconds. He chuckled, making her eyes wide.

"You look like a tomato with flour sprinkled on it." He said. Willow frowned before swatting his hand away. Turning back to the stove she flipped the pancake and flashed a glare at him.

"What do you like on your pancake?"

"Butter," He replied. "With the syrup."

Willow nodded at him and got the butter and the syrup out of the fridge. She placed them on the table. She then opened one of the cabinets and took out two jars. One was Nutella and the other, peanut butter.

Placing the plate filled with pancakes on the table she herself sat in front of Rowan.

"Dig in." She said and he did.

"Did you make it all yourself?"

She nodded, applying Nutella on her pancake. "I did."

"They are delicious." He said after swallowing the food in his mouth, and it was, very much, he was sure that he could eat more than twenty pancakes if she was the one who made it.

Her face heated up. "Thank you."

"You're really good at cooking, even though this is the first time I'm eating your food, I can see that." He went on, and so did her face keep on heating up. He couldn't help the smile which was spreading on his face.

"You never know." Willow stuttered out. "What if pancakes is the only food I can make?"

"It isn't, is it?"

"No." Said Willow. "I can cook other things as well."

Rowan tilted his head and smiled at Willow. "I'll look forward to eating them all."

"Finish that first." Willow said pointing her fork at his plate and he could see that she was trying to get his attention off of her, he could hear her heartbeat which had quickened up. It made him smile wider.

At least he wasn't the only one of them who was attracted to the other, that would have been painful.

Felix walked in when Rowan was halfway through the pancakes stacked up in his plate. He had gone to work out at the gym. He rushed to the table and sat beside Rowan.

"I'm famished!" Felix burst out as he started piling his plate up.

"Shower first," Said Rowan. "You stink."

"We're not at home, it's okay." Said Felix. "As the saying goes, fill your tummy first."

"There is no such saying as that." Said Willow.

"You," Felix pointed at Willow. "Should see this." He took his phone out and showed something to Willow.

"Why are you bringing this back up?"

Rowan craned his neck to see the screen, it had a dress on it?

"What is this?" Asked Rowan.

"It is The dress, which racked everyone down." Said Willow. "It's white and gold without a doubt but apparently some people see it as black and blue."

"What do you mean?" Asked Rowan. "It is black and blue."

"Not you too!" Willow threw her hands in the air. She then turned towards Felix. "Is this supposed to be your explanation?"

"It is."

"Wow." Said Willow. "So you mean to say that Rowan's eyes are like this dress?" Felix nodded. "How is that supposed to explain this? Why don't you just agree that this is a prank?"

Felix sighed and was about to reply but Rowan cut him off.

Sorry Felix, he thought down to his mind. Felix turned his head to Rowan and raised his brow. Mission 156 abort.

This was one of the power of the King of Vampires, Telepathy, since Rowan was still a Prince he could acquire it, but it hasn't wholly developed. He can only talk to one person at a time.

"Stop it already Felix," Said Rowan. "I feel like we're taking this joke a bit too far."

"Damn." Said Felix. "I thought this was funny."

Willow shook her head as she rolled her eyes.
