'One of the hardest lessons in life is letting go. Whether it's guilt, anger, love, loss or betrayal. Change is never easy. We fight to hold on and we fight to let go.'

~Unknown

'Pause and remember - When you fight reality, you will lose every time. Once you accept the situation for what it truly is, not what you want it to be, you are then free to move forward.'

~Jennifer Young

'Let go my dear,

empty hands

are better than

bleeding ones.'

~David Xam.

In the chamber of the king and queen, they both laid with a blanket beside the balcony, gazing at the faraway evening sky.

The dusk had just gone by and the once cloudy sunset yellow sky was turning to a dark indigo shade.

On her mates lap, Aiyana laid slumped while silently staring at the night sky lost in her own thoughts.

Although she'd shed tears, the outcome of her outburst made her feel really good. Her heart felt light, as if a heavy rock suppressing it was just removed. It felt nice.

While thinking, she realized that she had always blindfolded her conscience just to seek temporary relief. She was so scared to face the truth that could destroy all her belief, that she had pretended not to see it in the first place.

And she realized, it wasn't her fault at all. She was just a child. How was she supposed to distinguish a right and wrong decision without proper experience??

Yeah. If she had made a mistake, it would be binding herself in the shackles of falsehood even when her heart knew the truth.

That day, when she was a kid, her brother had seen his friends bullying her behind a wall. But he behaved so normally then, that little Aiyana thought he hadn't seen his friends action towards her in the first place.

So she kept neglecting the truth.

The truth that he saw what had happened but just didn't care about her enough to destroy the relationships he built with his friends.

For years she kept herself locked in the shackles of falsehood. But not any longer.

Acceptance. It was a value she lacked. But not anymore.

Now she felt confident enough to face any problem the life would throw at her. In a way, she felt powerful too.

Coming back from her thoughts, she glanced at her mates sitting beside her.

Her mates.

Azazel

Azron.

They were a blessing in her life of unreal mirrors.

How were they so good to her??

It's like they knew everything about her. Her good, her bad, her concealed emotions. Even her unseen feelings were felt by them.

Is this the connection between two souls? Not invading but powerful.

When she was emptying the shrouded secrets of her heart to her brother, they, not even once, tried to stop her.

As if they were expecting it. Waiting for her to clear all her emotions and regrets.

Although they did not stop her, they didn't even leave her alone too. For the whole time, their constant presence was giving her the support she spiritually seeked.

And when her whole being was doused in emptiness, they had held her slumping figure and comforted and praised her with their actions.

This entirely showed that they treated her as their equal, respected her and were willing to stay alongside her in each and every circumstance of life.

She, unknowingly, smiled at her thoughts and dazedly stared her mates face.

When Azazel caught her eyes, he looked a little confused but still didn't question her deep stare at his face.

He instead asked.

'How are you feeling?'

Aiyana gave him a sincere smile and put on two thumbs up, indicating that she was fine.

In reply, Azazel chuckled deeply and preciously kissed her forehead. Muttering a 'My little warrior.' to himself.

He felt relieved that she was doing fine now.

And he also felt grateful because she didn't look to be self blaming herself.

Still, he wanted to keep his eyes on her. Because, finding faults within oneself was a very easy task.

A few days had passed after that.

At first, the palace members had treated Aiyana with more gentleness because they seemed worried about her. Even if sometimes Aiyana really felt fine and constantly smiled at them to ease their worry, it still did not stop them from inquiring about her emotional state from time to time.

They had started caring about her.

Truth to be told, even if she had smiled at them, her heart had hesitated many times. There were even times her thoughts would turn into complete negativeness. But seeing so many people in the palace genuinely caring for her well-being, her emotional health just became better and better.

Well that's about the servants and Royal Officers. Let's talk about her lovers and best friend.

Yes. Best friend.

Zane, the deranged Demon King, was now best buddies with her.

On the second day after her outburst, he had come barging into her room while wailing like a toddler.

He had clutched her hand and released a tank of tears, all the while prasing her for her outbursts. And that wasn't the only thing.

After sharing her thoughts with him, he had cursed a full Sahara dessert on her brother and her bullies. He kept jumping on her bed like a trampoline while screaming about mass murder, bombing, revenge, extinction and etc .

He even intensely scolded her and smacked her (very lightly) like an old granny while berating her of her stupidity. To which she just looked down embarrassed and apologized many times.

When Azazel had walked on in the room with a plate of grapes and other fresh fruits in his hands for his mate, the smile on his face had instantly vanished upon witnessing Zane smacking and flicking his precious mate's head. [The smacks were really light and actually didn't feel insulting to her at all.]

Azazel had given Zane such a frosty glare and then had burnt holes in Zane's arms with his murderous stare as if he just wanted to burn away the hands that hurt his mate.

So, the witty Zane had quickly vamoosed from the room, fearing being handicapped, but not before gifting Aiyana with a long Tshirt which had 'Bravo' printed in bold letters on its back.

That man was a total cray cray!! Literally!!

But he was very sweet and caring too. Aiyana thought.

And about the topic of her mates. They did what they always do in these recent days. Taking care of her like a princess.

Beginning from the fresh flowers and kisses in the morning to the cuddles and touches at night, her each and every day was spent in total bliss.

Not to forget, the crazy, weird and unique dating activities they try everyday from the suggestions of Zane, the Crazy and one and only antique piece on earth, every day felt special.

It is to be mentioned that not all of their dates had hit off. Some activities were busted in such an awesome way that Zane had always escaped her mate's claws by an inch.

For an example, he had suggested Azazel to arrange an outdoor dinner in the palace garden. 'With beautiful snowy weather and romance in the air. Shalalalaa..!' he had quoted about the feel of the dinner.

So Azazel had spent nearly half a day sweating while cooking dinner in the kitchen and had beautifully arranged the dishes outside in the garden.

Aiyana too had wore an white angel dress in accordance with Zane's suggestion as he wanted the dinner to be straight out from a fairy tale.

Well, bless Zane to live, because that maniac didn't know the differences between fairytales and reality.

During dinner, the meals had been frozen in cold and Aiyana had shivered the entire time because of her thin dress and the frosty weather.

But still, inspite of so many difficulties, they both still had the dinner.

Azazel, who wanted to break Zane's neck for this absurd idea refrained from doing so seeing Aiyana smile. He decided to forgive the fool for one time.

Alas to Zane's luck!! And ours too because our blessings didn't work on him!

The very next day, Azazel had come rushing with his limited edition silver rifle in hand to Zane's room to massacre him, destroying almost all the furnitures in his room because his mate had gotten a fever in the middle of the night because of their freezing dinner.

Bless Zane again, because the crazy dimwit had transported to demon realm with all his backs packed before Azazel could strangle him.

Only after 3 days, when Aiyana's fever had been finally gone down due to the extensive care of her mates, the idiot had come waltzing inside the palace like a diva on vacation with all his dressing style and hairstyle changed.

He looked like a man on trip from Bali.

Before Azazel could kick him to the land of deads for a second time, he had flashed some books in front of him like he was flashing diamonds.

The weird patterned books were actually the limited edition books of demon realm about love, romance, dating and exclusive dates and ideas between soulmates. Azazel instantly snatched away the delights and was almost ready to forgive him.

Key word : Almost.

Knowing that death was inevitable, he still ate some popcorn worthy kicks from Azron while singing lullabies to endure the pain. That crazy!!

After that, while tending to his injuries, which weren't that serious, he laughed, had fun and gave a lot of magic artifacts and potions for planting to Aiyana as gifts.

They chatted for a long time and he told her many things about his home realm. Like how the sky there was always black, they had three moons of different colors, people in the demon realms were extremely fashionable etc etc.

She almost laughed remembering his funny proud expressions. That bloke!! He was an impossible nut case!!

And reminiscing the time when her Azazel and Azron had taken care of her while she had a high fever, she smiled.

Seriously, her life felt really awesome. She smiled while musing.

Suddenly a pair of arms had sneaked themselves to her waist while her mate's head had dropped onto her shoulders.

Azazel gave her an ear splitting smile while softly kissing her mark. After a while, Aiyana was moaning deeply as Azazel's merciless lips hotly tortured her neck, especially her mark which was now a sensitive part for her.

Azazel carried her breathless figure in his arms and they continued their kissing and hugging session on their bed until an hour had passed away.

'I love you.' Aiyana signed while staring at him dreamily.

Azazel's once deep amethyst eyes changed into ametrine ones, indicating Azron's presence as they smiled in bliss at her confession.

'We love you too.' Her mates signed back in return with tears in their shining eyes.

They felt so happy and grateful at that moment that they tightly hugged Aiyana to their chest and kept kissing her forehead repeatedly for she did not know how long. Aiyana giggled and kissed their cheeks while blushing in return.

'Should we get married?' Aiyana teased Azazel with mischievous eyes and sporting a wolfish grin while raising her eyebrows suggestively.

Azazel's eyes widened and he blushed so hard at her unexpected question that Aiyana broke down laughing on the bed.

His beast, Azron, had almost destroyed their imaginary ground while jumping and running around while blushing. And at last, he had laid down as if he had passed to heaven in shock with a megawatt smile on his beastly lips.

Seriously, what a dramatic fella!!

That afternoon, Aiyana had teased Azazel so much that he even resorted to hide his face in the duvet just to escape from her mischievous clutches.

It only made Aiyana laugh and tease him more until her stomach hurt from all the laughter.
