"What is it, Giovanni?" Rafael asked.

"Eliana left her job earlier without informing me" Giovanni responded.

"Where are you now?" Rafael continued questioning his employee.

"Following her. However, she's not going home"

Rafael had a bad feeling about this.

"Find out where she is going then," he said firmly and hung up.

"She's pregnant," Doctor Kraus said.

"Pregnant?" Rafael was so shocked a hint of emotion appeared in his voice.

Rafael paused for a moment, probably trying to process everything.

"Did she know?" Rafael asked, looking at his unconscious wife. They were all in the hospital

room, it was truly a miracle that she wasn't kidnapped. But he knew they're going to try again.

"Most likely she already experienced early signs of pregnancy, but it is hard to tell if she knew. It's better to ask her"

"Thank you, if you don't mind, I'd like to be alone with her"

Rafael needed time to think. To process. Because he was furious.

"Of course" dr. Kraus responded and as soon as the doors closed behind him Rafael hid his face

in his hands.

"How is she?" It was Lorenzo who just entered the room.

"She should wake up any minute now," Rafael said in a terrifyingly cold tone of voice. But apparently, his brother was used to it because he only sighed tiredly.

"I told the kids to stay at home, and they're really not happy about it. Rafael... is everything okay?"

"I've just been informed by her doctor that she's pregnant"

"What? How? Is it yours?"

"I have no idea. She didn't find this information worth mentioning. I've sent Giovanni back to the place where she was attacked, and it turns out it was the parking lot of the abortion clinic"

"You're telling me that on the day of an attempted kidnapping, she was planning to get an abortion?" Lorenzo asked.

"Yes," Rafael responded in a hollow voice.

What was he feeling right now? Sadness? Anger? He couldn't tell.

Eliana as soon as she opened her eyes realized that she's in the hospital. Rafael was sitting next to her.

"How are you feeling?" he asked.

"As good as I can. What happened?" she asked in a hoarse voice.

"Someone tried to kidnap you. Currently, that person is being questioned" Rafael replied.

"By whom? Who was this person? Did Harvey send him?" Eliana questioned.

"That's what I'm trying to establish" Rafael said.

"But how am I here? When I lost consciousness, I was already in his car..."

"He never left the parking lot. Giovanni did what I pay him for" Rafael explained.

"Giovanni?" Eliana looked at Rafael confused, "but I-"

"You left without him. I know. It is not the first time it happened"

She looked away, embarrassed.

She started playing with her bedsheets as she asked, "How did he know that I left? Or where to find me?" Eliana muttered, not looking at Rafael. She couldn't face him right now.

"After the situation at the store, he was instructed to no longer rely on your word only. He has access to your localization"

"What? How? Don't tell me you bugged my phone" I asked.

"It's the ring you're wearing"

Ah. The engagement rings. Shit.

"Why didn't you tell me it has GPS installed?" Eliana felt uneasy with the fact that her husband is spying on her.

"Because I didn't have to" Rafael replied smoothly.

"That's all you have to say?!" she asked, irritated.

"How about you, Eliana? Would you like to tell me something?" he challenged.

"What do you mean?" she started shyly.

"Perhaps you could tell me why you neglected to mention that we have a child?" he asked in a quiet, clear voice.

"We don't have a child" Eliana responded automatically but then paused and grabbed her

stomach, "Wait. Do we? Is the baby okay?"

"Yes. Dr. Kraus said everything is fine"

"Oh, that's good," She said, relieved. Yes, she wanted to terminate the pregnancy, but not like that. Not when everything was out of her control.

"So" Rafael continued dragging the topic, "You decided to get an abortion without telling me"

"I'm sorry, I was afraid you would be angry that I got pregnant. After all, our contract ends in less than a month" Eliana said without looking at him.

"I'm not angry. I'm pissed off, Eliana. For you, it's still these fucking 6 months, does anything that happened between us so far mean anything to you?" Rafael started off angrily.

"Of course it did. But you said it yourself at the dinner that you don't want a kid or a wife"

"I said I never planned to have one. But now that I have you, do you really think I want to let you

go? I love my family, and you're a part of it now. So is that baby. If you decide to keep it I will still make sure you have everything you need"

"I don't... I don't know what to do, Rafael. It's too much for me" she whispered trying to stop her eyes from tearing down.

"Since you never intended to tell me, I understand my opinion doesn't have any meaning to you"

With that, he left the room.

And Eliana realized how deeply she hurt him by her actions.

"What happened," Lorenzo asked quietly?

"Why would something happen?" Rafael responded without emotion.

"You didn't come to work today" Lorenzo pointed out.

"Eliana is still talking about our worthless contract, she clearly wants this relationship to end. And I ... I don't know if I can let her go now" Rafael admitted.

"Don't let her go then. Why would you let a woman like her go? Casey is like our sister now. They

both appeared in our life unexpectedly, but now you can just go back to being a stranger? Too late for that. For you and her. Start communicating, for fuck's sake, you must know you're not just a business partner to her"

"What possibly can I say that hadn't been saying before? She knows I love her"

"Does she? She's afraid, Rafael. And he has good reasons to be. But that doesn't mean you won't be together "

Eliana was released from the hospital a few days ago.

Regarding pregnancy - she still hasn't made up her mind about what to do.

After arriving at Rafael's house, it took her a week to recover.

Rafael was giving her a silent treatment. He was working all the time.

Eliana realized she don't want to remove it without talking to him. It should be their common

decision. But she had no opportunity to talk to him.

She went down to the kitchen one morning to see Remi in there.

"Have you seen Rafael?" she asked.

"He didn't tell you? He has a conference in Japan and he will be gone for a week. He should be

landing in Tokyo by now"

"Oh. Okay," Eliana said, feeling deeply hurt
