The soothing wind of the autumn brushed pass the busy streets. Every moving creature craving to return to the comfort of their house. Except one person, who sat with his heart warmed up for an arrival he awaited.

His eyes wandered from place to place trying to take in every bit of the place, to be able to put it down his memory lane as a remarkable day. A day to remember on days of the missing comfort. Impatience was all he felt, cursing at time for moving so slow. Showing his full anger towards the roads which delayed the presence of the one he begged to meet.

It's been six years. No contact. Both busy in their own lives trying not to care about eachother's lives. When one might have a succeeded in the race but the other seemed to have horribly fail. Maybe, he didn't ever try to.

The atmosphere got comforting and lively the moment his eyes fell upon the café door which opened with a woman coming in with smile. She smiled at the workers who had returned the gesture equally enthusiastic.

Her outfit consisted of blue and white striped long dress. Her long brown hair and mesmerising eyes, still beautiful as ever as they danced from place to place in search of someone. Soon they fell upon him, making him shiver from the electric bolt that rushed through him. Abruptly, he stood up as the woman came towards him with a small smile.

"Jungkook" She acknowledged

"Y/N..." He breathlessly let out

She came forward with open arms in attempt to hug him which he did willingly. The hug was nothing romantic but just a friendly hug, a friend gave to a friend. But to Jungkook it was the comfort he missed out on for the past six years. He wrapped his arms around her waist as he pressed the side of his cheek to her temple, closing his eyes, feeling the nostalgia. That didn't last long however as Y/N pulled away with a smile.

"Shall we sit?" She asked with a smile

"Yes of course!" Jungkook frantically spoke out making Y/N chuckle as she took her seat followed by Jungkook who sat infront of her.

"So! How have you been?" Y/N asked with a smile.

"I have been well I guess" Jungkook replied akwardly.

"That's good to hear. What are you doing currently?" Y/N asked about his occupation.

"I am working as a financial analyst" Jungkook replied

"Oh! Then you got your dream job! That's great!" Y/N exclaimed smiling widely.

"Yeah...How about you?" Jungkook asked diverting the focus onto her.

"Hmm? Oh! I am an analyst too but an investment analyst" Y/N spoke in a somewhat animated way making the both chuckle.

"Anyways! How about everything else? Family?" Y/N asked trying to instigate a good conversation with the one who seemed clueless.

"They are good too" Jungkook replied shortly as he looked at her intently.

There was a moment of silence which screamed nothing but akwardness. Y/N felt suffocated by the odd air, and not being able to bear it she asked a question she felt like she shouldn't have.

"Did you find anyone for yourself?" She asked abruptly making Jungkook flinch. He looked at her shocked for a while seemingly clueless as to what his answer should be before breaking out into a sad smile.

"Only if you had left my mind for once, I might have found someone" He said.

Y/N stared at him in utter shock and tint of guilt coated her feelings. She did not know how to reply to that statement. It was her turn to be clueless as she sat akwardly.

"Oh...okay" She let out.

"You've gotten fatter" Jungkook let out jokingly taking about her healthy stature with a teasing smile.

Y/N just smiled at him.

"I have not gotten fatter" She stated.

"Sure" He said with a teasing smile.

"I have not okay! I am pregnant!" She blurt out feeling offended.

Little did she know, the statement had succeeded to stab a hole through Jungkook's heart as he stared at her in utter sadness.

"Y-You're pregnant?" He asked stuttering.

"Yeah..." Y/N said looking down

"You got married?" He asked feeling himself on the verge of breaking down but held it together.

"No. But I am engaged" She said showing her hand which had the ring finger filled.

'Only if I didn't do what I did, maybe I would be the one filling that finger' A thought passed Jungkook's mind.

"Congratulations I guess" He said looking away to keep his tears at bay.

"Thank you. Would you mind if I say something?" Y/N asked

"No of course not! Please go on" Jungkook said feeling defeated.

"I know you are still vulnerable to me. But I think it's time you move on and find someone who is for you. Cause I am clearly not written in your fate. Jungkook you have to let go of me. You can't live like this. I am saying this to you as someone who cares about you. Please listen to me" Y/N tried counselling.

Jungkook looked up at her with a bitter expression on his face making Y/N furrow her eyebrows.

"You expect me to move on? You found someone and are expecting a child with him. While I am here broken, hoping you would look at me and things would be the same. How do I move on from you, when you are the only one I truly loved? I know I hurt you and I was a bastard to do so but once Y/N! Once didn't I cross your mind when you were fucking around with that boyfriend of yours?!" Jungkook let out bitterly.

"Mind your language Jeon Jungkook! I wish not hear any foul words from your mouth regarding my life! You better stay within your limit! I have come today to meet you as a friend and not your ex" Y/N declared seemingly offended.

"And once again, you are questioning my character" Y/N pointed out making realisation flush over Jungkook.

"No Y/N! I didn't mean it like tha-" He was abruptly cut off by Y/N speaking.

"Look Jungkook. I don't know what you mean and I don't want to know either. But let me tell you this. I understand that you still have feelings for me and I don't judge that. However, it's very ridiculous of you to expect me to stick onto you when all you did was give million reasons to quit the show and I did. I am human only, and I could not bear all the horrible things you had done. As rude as it sounds of me to compare, but after I met my fiancé, I realised this is how I deserved to be treated and not the way I was with you years ago. Anyways..." Y/N let out her bitter emotions not being able to hold it in. She took a pause out of breath as Jungkook just quietly listened to what she said with a shattered heart.

"I want to say. It's been six years...Six fucking years. Can we please move past all the bitterness and just be normal friends? I mean I should be the one upset but I am willing to take a step forward. Can't you step out of the comfort zone for once and adjust? Please? For me?" Y/N requested with a cracked voice as she felt herself getting emotional by the situation.

This man that sat infront of her so vulnerable was someone she dearly loved. However, she cannot give herself to someone who doesn't know how to treat her well. After she met her fiancé it was she realised how it felt like to be respected and loved. How a man should treat a woman. Which Jungkook had failed to show her. How could she go back to him?

"Yes...anything for you" Jungkook said quietly.

"Just one request. When you do find someone. Don't treat her the way you and treated me. Please" Y/N said

"I won't. I promise" Jungkook said looking down.

"Thank you. Okay! What do you want to have? It's on me" Y/N said calling out for the waiter.

"No I want to pay!" Jungkook said not liking the idea of making her pay.

"It's on me" Y/N said sternly making him shut up which made her smile.

They ordered their food and waited while talking about random things. It was mostly Y/N blabbering while he just stared at her. Soon the food arrived and they ate in silence with the exchange of a few words only. Soon time drew near that they parted, as the empty feeling came back in Jungkook's heart.

"Oh! He is here! I gotta go!" Y/N said getting up.

"Okay. Good to see you I guess. And Congratulations!" Jungkook said with a small smile.

"Thank you!" Y/N said moving forward for a hug which Jungkook returned, once again trying to take in as much as possible.

"Is it possible for you to make it to my wedding?" Y/N asked with a hopeful look as they detached.

Jungkook contemplated as he looked at her complete dilemma. The request seemed ridiculous to him but he knew she might have thought of something before saying this. So he said.

"I'll try" Jungkook said.

"Okay! See you!" Y/N said turning away leaving the café.

He looked at her board in to an expensive car which drove away. Millions of thoughts rushed through his mind making him shudder. How will he live without her? Will he survive? These were the questions he was asking himself as he stood somewhat helpless. With a sad smile, he looked down. He lost her and it's his fault. The least he could do was free her from the cage.

"Looks like it's time I let you go"

This epilogue is for the original ending and for those who did not want them to end up together. Basically the original ending.
