Jungkook has been isolating himself for almost 2 months. So we decided to make him refresh his mind with a birthday party but here he was just isolating himself even more.

Yunhee and Jungkook had quite a heated argument and after that Jungkook agreed

"Fine! But in one condition!" He growled

"What?" Taehyung asked with an annoyed expression

"Do not expect me to go around laughing. I will only attend" He informed

"And try too enjoy too!" A voice spoke from behind.

We all looked behind to see Baekhyun standing there with an unreadable expression. Jungkook gave him a confused face. He took the indication and answered Jungkook.

"It's an order. Again" He said sternly

Jungkook looked down. Although his face cannot be seen but we could figure out that he had an upset expression.

"Hyung I can't...." Jungkook said with a cracked voice

Baekhyun came forward with a softened expression. He patted Jungkook's back and said

"You can't isolate yourself like that forever Jungkook. Yes it is your fault, I am not completely disagreeing with you in this but...." Baekhyun said with chuckle

"You have to accept it, I mean there are chances that she will not come back then? What will you do?" He asked speaking practically

However, Jungkook looked up almost immediately when he said that. He did not have an upset expression like before but a determined one.

"Love her and hold her so tight that she can never go" He said

"What?" Baekhyun asked confused

"I know she will come back! She has too! Y/N never breaks her promise! She promised and she will come!" He said

Baekhyun looked at him in disbelief and so did all of us.

"Jungkook you do remember right that the doctor said she has low chances of living?" Kai said reminding

"They lied! They know nothing about Y/N! They are all liars, they just wanted to say something so they made it up! It's not true! IT'S NOT" Jungkook declared and ran to the room Y/N was in.

We all ran after him. We entered the room and our heart sank. There was Jungkook sitting with Y/N's pale face cupped in his palms and talking gibberish. We had no idea what to say.

"Look what everyone is saying! They are saying your going to leave me! So stupid of them! huh!" Jungkook said letting out a chuckle

I was a little taken aback by that. The only emotion Jungkook had shown within the past few months was anger, frustration and guilt not even a single tear dropped from his eyes. So him showing hints of laughter really gave me sense of relief even if it's sarcastic..

"You're-You're not leaving right?! Yeah your not!" He said hugging her lightly

Everyone was speechless. We did not know what to do or say. We just stood still and watched him break with trauma. Jin furiously walked forward and took Y/N out of Jungkook's grip and placed her to her usual position. He then took Jungkook by the arm and said

"Get up! GET UP I SAID!!!"

Jin was furious and it was visible in his eyes.

"Jin calm down" Zoya said

He did not bother to listen and pulled up Jungkook and bought him out of the room back to the living room. Jungkook was a little shocked by the actions but just followed him anyways. We all followed them to the living room.

"What do you think your doing?!?! You think talking gibberish to her will help her come back!" Jin growled

"But I have to do something. I can't let her leave and she will come back" Jungkook said calm and determined

"COME BACK TO EARTH JEON JUNGKOOK! THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO! ITS NOT IN YOUR HAND!" Jin warned

"THEN WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO?! JUST SIT AND WATCH HER SUFFER FOR THE MESS I HAVE CAUSED HUH!?!?!" Jungkook screamed

Jin was a little taken aback by Jungkook. He wanted to say something but Jungkook abruptly cut him off.

"THIS IS ALL MY FAULT!! THIS IS ALL MY FUCKING FAULT! ONLY IF I HAD NOT BEEN STUPID AND BOTHERED LISTENING TO HER THEN NONE OF THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED! NONE OF IT!!"

Jungkook fell down on his knees and started crying loudly. All our expressions softened and I went to comfort him.

"It's okay" I said while patting his back while he was still crying after a whole 2 months

"Hyung how did I become such a monster towards her? Why did I have to hurt her so much hyung" He questioned

Everyone eventually came and hugged him while he kept saying sorry for his deeds.

"Jungkook as a brother I have nothing but anger towards you. But I am staying calm with you for only one reason, and that is my sister Y/N. She might show her hatred to you but that doesn't mean she doesn't love you. You being upset are one of the reasons for her to be upset as well. So please just for her sake, can you at least try to be normal if not happy?" Baekhyun asked

"I mean after all your actions, I don't think you have say in this. Going against my words will only prove your lack of repentance. So?"

Jungkook said nothing but just looked at him and lightly nodded.

"Good. Then you guys can start doing what you wanted I guess." Baekhyun said

Everyone gave Baekhyun a look of gratitude except Jungkook. Baekhyun just returned a tight smile not saying anything else. I could tell, it was a fake smile. Things are hard on him too. His sister who is so dear to him, is fighting for her life. Only because he is the oldest, he is controlling his emotions trying to act rational. The others hurried to the arrangements while Jungkook just blankly stared not saying anything. We decided not to bother him for now. My focus was on Baekhyun all this while as curiosity got the best of me. He looked down and head towards the balcony, as I followed him without him knowing. I went to the balcony to see him leaning on the railing above the glass, in deep thought.

"Baekhyun hyung?" I called out

He looked back and stood straight and smiled at me. Again, another fake smile. I went towards him and stood beside him.

"Oh! Jimin! What brings you here?"

"Can I ask you something?" I asked

"Sure" He answered

"This might sound weird but why are so nice to Jungkook after what happend between him and Y/N? Don't take it the other way but it's a little absurd" I said as curiosity filled me

He looked at me somewhat taken aback by the question. A look of hesitation flushed his face as I could tell he was having a mental war on the way to answer the question. Suddenly, he sighed

"Jungkook has done devastating things to my sister and I shall never forgive him for those. But, for the past month they way he took care of her eventhough it was of no use, the hope in him that she will wake up... it's amazing" He said softly

"I mean I have lost hope on my sister. But seeing his determination is quite fascinating, it shows the bond they share. I mean its unusual" He paused

"If I be the typical brother I would do nothing but hurt my sister then" He said

"What do you mean?" I asked more curious that ever

"Ever heard of prized possessions?" He said

"Yeah.. it is the something someone is the most protective about" I said awkwardly

"That's exactly what Jungkook is for Y/N. Her most prized possession. She can't live without him. You know why she never objected him bullying her as that's the only way he can stay close to her. Sounds psychotic but it's true. Mad love it is, they have for each other" He answered with a light smirk

"How do you know all this?" I asked

"She is my chubs Jimin! I know her better than she knows herself like she knows me too" He said chuckling

"But why are you taking care him so well? I mean making sure he stays happy, eats his meals, sleeps properly" I asked making him sigh yet again looking down

"Well I am not sure If my sister will be back or not. But if not I will at least have her most favourite, that can remind me of her"

The arrangement for Jungkook's birthday had started on the large balcony they had in the apartment. Everyone was celebrating except the one who the celebration was for.

He was standing by the edge while looking out to the city as cold breezes hit him but he couldn't bother less. Everyone sighed but decided to not bother him.

"Mae!" Jungkook called out suddenly

Mae was talking to Jimin and flinched when her name was called out. She looked back and saw Jungkook. She went towards him and asked

"Yeah?"

"Can you please go sit with Y/N for a while please" He begged

She nodded without hesitation and went. Jungkook was not allowed to go there until he was given his gifts. He was restless and wanted to go as soon as possible. All this time the only thing he was doing was cursing when this will end.

"Alright everyone! It's time to give present to the birthday boy!" Hoseok screamed

Everyone came forward while Taehyung went to Jungkook and turned him around to look at everyone.

One by one everyone started to give him gifts while he just nodded with a small thank you and a forced small smile for the sake of politeness. Everyone was down when suddenly Zoya asked.

"Where's Mae? Isn't she going to give her gift?"

"She went to check up on Y/N And hasn't returned. I will go check" Jimin said and went.

Jungkook just turned around getting even more restless by the delay.

After a while, Jimin and Mae came back after a while with huge grins plastered to their faces.

"What's with the lunatic smile?" Yoongi asked

"Well I have got another gift for Jungkook and it's the best he will receive" Jimin said proudly

"No! Its my gift Jimin that's not fair" Mae said pouting

"Ok fine let's joi-"

"Just get this over with fast will you!" Jungkook scoffed turning his head towards them.

"Fine! After we show it to you we will take it back" Jimin said and Jungkook rolled his eyes.

My mind was just restless and I could think of nothing but Y/N. Jimin and Mae were bickering I got frustrated and scoffed at them.

They had went to bring whatever they bought. Everyone was talking curiously about what was happening.

Suddenly everyone went silent and no one spoke. The only sound was the wind and the footsteps. I still didn't bother to look back.

But when suddenly Taehyung hyung spoke.

"Y/N?"

My head shot backwards. I turned around and saw...

Y/N....
