On the day of Elder Wang birthday, Grandfather, Uncle Zedong, Min, and I all went together. When I had wanted to ride of Yun, the men stopped me. Apparently in my long layer dress, it'll be difficult to ride a horse, so Min suggest that I sat in the carriage with Grandfather.

I blushed to Wang Feng deep voice just outside the carriage. Taking several deep breaths, I finally walked out to see him. Like always, the man was handsome in black.

"Come"

He held out his hand to me and helped me down the carriage. To my surprise, he kept hold of my hand while guiding me in. I could see the look of surprised on people as Feng lead me through the grand silver doors.

"Ah, that's my phoenix stick"

The blue jade phoenix hair stick - the same one I'm currently wearing is holding up Wang Feng long ponytail.

"It belongs to me"

"But that's mine"

"You already gave it to me"

"When did I_

"You're not getting it back"

I realized the ridiculous one side conversation we're having so I didn't say anything else. Hearing how he chuckled at my defeat, I could only sigh.

"Grandmother"

Once we arrived to the main hall, I saw Elder Wang sitting in the main wood chair wearing a lovely jade green robe. Standing at her side was the beautiful Li Xia and Mistress Wang.

"Wei Lan jie-jie" Li Xia rush to my side with a big smile as soon as she saw me.

Seeing Li Xia's eyes going to my hand in her brother's, I self-consciously pulled at my hand. But it was a useless attempt - the man tight grip was impossible to escape.

"Wei Lan" Elder Wang smiled at me.

"Wei Lan greets Elder Wang" I bowed my head and looked up at her, returning a smile. "Wei Lan also wishes Elder Wang a happy birthday"

Wang Feng could only scowl while Elder Wang pretends not to notice and told some of the servants to prepare the banquet.

Meanwhile, Li Xia had brought Wei Lan out to the lake garden.

I was amazed by the size with the lake surrounded by tall peach blossom trees. There was even a small bridge that leads to a small beautiful floating pavilion.

"It's beautiful" I walked over to the lake and sat on my heels to look at the gold fishes. "How cute..."

"This is one of the six gardens on the estate. One day, Li Xia will show jie-jie the rest"

"Six?" I was surprised and turned to look at the main pavilion building where the banquet is currently held. "How big is the Wang Estate?"

"Big" Li Xia said proudly.

I couldn't help but smile at her vague answer - it reminds me of Min.

"Mother told me that they're announcing Feng-ge and Wei Lan jie-jie engagement today. Right after the gifts"

I blushed hearing this.

"I can't believe my brother wants to marry Wei Lan jie-jie after meeting only a few times"

It really was too quick. The reminder made me feel uncomfortable.

"Li Xia didn't mean to be rude. Li Xia really like Wei Lan, so I'm happy that you're whom big brother chooses" Li Xia quickly explained. "I only meant that it's out of character for Feng-ge"

"How is he normally... with women?"

Li Xia giggled at my horrible attempt to snoop information.

"Jie-jie wants to know how Feng-ge normally treats women?"

I could only blush.

"Jie-jie" Li Xia smiled was playful and teasing. "Believe it or not but Feng-ge is very bad with women"

That surprised me. Considering how he acts with me, I thought he was more experienced.

"To put it bluntly, Feng-ge finds women annoying" Li Xia was pondering in thoughts before she told me with a wryly smile. "Wei Lan finds Feng-ge handsome, right?"

Again, I blushed with the sudden question.

"No need to be embarrassed. I'm his mei-mei and I find him very handsome" Li Xia smiled proudly. "The point is - because Feng-ge is handsome and he is a general, there are many women who fancy him."

I understood that well.

I could take a big guess.

"If your daughter is stupid enough falls into a lake, she deserves to die" Li Xia purposely deepen her voice to imitate her brother.

I covered my lips with the back of my hand and laughed with Li Xia. When arms suddenly wrapped around my shoulders and my back was pressed against a strong chest, I was startled.

"Rest assure, if Lan ever falls into a lake, Feng-ge will save you"

I blushed hard as he spoke into my ear.

"T_ Thank you but Wei Lan knows how to swim" I answered, feeling my cheek warmed. "Wang Feng doesn't need to save me"

Wang Feng chuckled and kissed my cheek.

"W_ Wang Feng" I moved away from his lips seeing how Li Xia was watching. "P_ Please don't_"

"Li Xia knows you're mine"

I really couldn't deal with his domineering ways and blushed as he turned me over to face him.

"Wang Feng_"

He hugged me, crushing me to his hard body.

"Leave us"

I couldn't see Li Xia - but I heard her soft laughter before she left.

"Wang Feng..."

"Lan, why are you still so formal with me?"

I looked up to see his frown. The man was beautiful even when a scowl.

"From now on, you not allow refer to me as general or Wang Feng." He cupped my cheek gently.

"What should Wei Lan call you...?" I felt shy.

He smiled as his thumb caress my lips. I kept still as thumb move back and forward against my lips, stroking it. I knew he was waiting for me.

"Feng..."

Chuckling softly, he finally bent down and pressed his lips against mine. It was so soft, his lips and his kiss. It was enough to make me weak. It was enough to make my heart tremble.

"Lan" He stood straight, looking down at my face with gentle eyes while holding my cheek. "I will give you 2 years... after 2 years, with or without your heart, you will be mine"

I look up at the tall young man who makes me feel small. Currently, I was only 16. I don't understand why this beautiful man wants me when I lack a woman's body and frame.

Then he smiles at me - moving his hand from my cheek to cup the back of my head. I stepped forward into his arm that wrapped around my waist. I felt his lips against the top of my head and felt him breathe into my hair.

I felt so safe within his embrace. In that moment, I prayed to the heavens to let me have this man. Even if it's shameful of me – even if it's wrong, I wanted to have Wang Feng love.
