"Mei-mei!"

As soon as I entered the lodging, I was greeted by cheerful voice. When a hand was on top of my head, I was faced with the handsome face of my older cousin, now 18 years old.

"Min-ge, you're taller" I smiled up at Min who was rubbing my head fondly like he always do.

"Mei-mei, you're still small" He teased.

"What did you bring Wei Lan, Min-ge?" I lifted both my hands, expecting my usual gift from him whenever he's comes back from a long trip.

Standing up straight and lifted his hand from my head, he brought out a box from within his dark blue robe. I smiled happily as he placed the wood box in my hands. When I opened it to see red leaves, my eyes widen with surprised.

"Min-ge, where did you get this?"

"I came across a small island. It was pure luck"

"Wei Lan thank you Min-ge"

"Wang Feng, Li Xia?" Min suddenly noticed the Wang siblings standing behind me.

"Li Xia greets Fa Min" She turned to face grandfather and uncle Zedong. "Li Xia greets Master Fa and Master Zedong"

Both older men gave a nod of approval. When Wang Feng cupped his hand and gave a polite bow without words, both older men did the same.

"Why are you both with mei-mei?"

"Wei Lan has saved Li Xia just now, so Li Xia hopes to return her thanks"

"Mei-mei saved Li Xia?" Min chuckled, wanting to know the story.

After Li Xia explained the whole story, Min laughed.

"Mei-mei likes to play hero"

"Min-ge" I said with a warning tone. "Miss Li Xia does not need to thank Wei Lan... really, Wei Lan did nothing... end the end, it was young master Wang that resolve the matter"

Recalling the merciless action and Zhou Guan and his friend's horrible scream, I felt troubled.

"Zhou Guan deserves his punishment"

"Zhou Guan?" Min was surprised and looked at Li Xia. "It was him that mess with Li Xia?"

Li Xia nodded.

"You broke his arm?" Min was troubled as he looked at Wang Feng.

Wang Feng cold silence was the clear answer. Min looked at me seeing my troubled expression and looked back to see the same expression on grandfather and father's face.

"Feng, I hate to ask you for favors, but this once, let Zhou Guan go"

Feng eyes got impossibly colder and fierce. Wang Feng hates people who disrespect his family. He hates it more when people ask him for favors - even if they were his friends. Fa Min was a good man and Feng had considered him a friend because the man was the type who never cared for status. He treats everyone equally - it was a characteristic Feng appreciate.

"Fa Min, why are you asking for Zhou Guan?" Li Xia was also upset. "That man went as far as taking off my veil in public and touches me like someone from the red district"

"Miss Li Xia, please do not be angry" I stepped in front of Min, unconsciously protecting him since I knew the Wang were not the type to offend. "Min-ge is only speaking out in Wei Lan behalf..."

"Wei Lan?" Li Xia was surprised and confused.

"Zhou Guan is Wei Lan older cousin. His father is my third uncle..." I explained gently.

Both Wang Feng and Li Xia looked at me. I was trembling inside but I kept a calm expression as I look at Li Xia and then up at the Wang Feng.

How can anyone be so tall?

"Although Wei Lan is no longer a Zhou, Zhou is still Wei Lan's beloved father family" I bowed my head - unable to look at the intimidating man any longer. "For Zhou Guan offense, Wei Lan understands... she only ask Miss Li Xia to be benevolent this once and let him free. His arm is already broken, no need to cut it off"

My voice slightly shook as I said those words. I couldn't look at Wang Feng because I was afraid that I had offended this scary general.

"I will let him go after his family apologize" Wang Feng voice was surprisingly gentle as he spoke, making me look up at him with surprise. "I won't cut his arm off since you ask for his sake"

"Wei Lan thanks young master Wang" I bowed my head lower.

"Wei Lan, are you really related to that horrible Zhou family?" Li Xia asked without any ill intention - only surprised. "Beside that Zhou Guan, his mei-mei is worst. She uses her skills to seduce men and she's only past 14. And the other Zhou is all_"

"Li Xia" Wang Feng voice held a hint of warning in it.

"Li Xia means no offense to Wei Lan" Li Xia blushed and looked at me, apologetically. "Li Xia couldn't believe that the kind Wei Lan has such ties to the Zhou"

I didn't say anything further.

"Wei Lan" I turned to face my grandfather as he called for me."Since its pass noon, why don't you asked the young miss and master of Wang to join us for a light meal"

"As a thank you, please join us, young miss and young master"

Even though I didn't want to ask, I did as told.
