《Married To The Don》F I F T Y

" Are you ready to go home, Nico? " I cooed rocking my son back and forth.
The grey eyes monster stared at me with his wide eyes clearly judging my obsession over him before yawning making a cute o shape on his mouth.
This baby would grow up one day and go around breaking hearts. Nicholas looked just like his father it was like he didn't have a mother at all, just his father's gene in his little body.
" Why haven't anyone visited us the last three days? " I asked when Seth appeared at the hospital door carrying baby bags in both hands.
He looked restless with dark circles under his eyes and a slightly grown stubbles creating a five o'clock shadow making him even sexier. My husband had been very helpful these last few days at the hospital taking care of our baby while I was asleep and helping me around.
" I specifically ordered them not to come. This is family moment. I wanted to spend it with only you two. " he said helping me out of the door.
" But, Dean and Noel are here. And, were standing outside the door the whole time. " I asked cocking an eyebrow at him.
" You need extra protection. And, the others are waiting at our house right now. " he shrugged.
When we reached the front gate, Dean and Noel were already there waiting in front of a black SUV. They both peaked at little Nicholas before breaking into a big grin.
Holy shit. These two never smiled. And, I didn't have a camera in my hand. Damn it.
" He looks just like the Don. " Dean said.
I nodded my head smiling even though I was sad deep down that this son of mine didn't look like me at all. Ungrateful brat I carried him around for nine months for him to look like his father.
I put Nico in his car seat and then rest my head on Seth's chest causing me to immediately fell asleep, the hospital bed was uncomfortable as hell and was nothing compared to this human pillow.

Seth poked my cheek as we reached the gate of our new home, a home that came straight out of my head.
We were finally moving out of the estate and started a new family here in our new home. I would miss living with Victoria but she assured me that she would always visit because her god son would be living here after all.
" Let me see my grandson. " Gianna squealed technically running in her heels toward us with Steven following behind.
" Are you sure that's not our son? I think that's Seth. " Steven gasped.
Seth handed Nicholas to his grandmother and she swooned right then and there crying out happy tears. With her grandson in her arms she walked back into the house totally ignoring mine and Seth's presence.

" Suddenly, I was not her favorite boy anymore. " my husband sighed placing his hand on the small of my back leading me into the house.
I chuckled at him softly as we both walked into the crowded living room. They were all hovering over my confused son trying to get a closer looks at the new little Don.
" Bloody hell. He looks just like Seth. This is scary. " Brandon said staring at his godson.
" He acts like him too. Look at this little guy already glaring at everyone. " Sebastian squeaked.
" Look at his little chubby face. Oh my god. Why are you so fucking cute. " Victoria cooed at Nicholas earning a light smack from Gianna.
" No cursing around my grandson. " she said sternly making Steven chuckled.
I groaned turning my head to see my husband smirking his life away as everyone was saying how his son resembled him so much.
A cold hand touched my forearm making me flinched away slightly before turning to the source of coldness.
An older version of Kaitlyn Garcia stared right back at me causing me to back away into my husband's chest. Her face was full of little freckles her body slender and hair slightly grey was cut short to her chin.
" Aunt Karen. " Seth said from behind me.
" Seth my boy. I haven't seen you in so long. Gianna and I just talked the other day that your wife is giving birth to your first child. " she said smiling at the two of us sweetly.
" Aunt Karen, meet my wife. Alana, Mrs Karen Garcia. Kaitlyn's mother. " he introduced the two of us making my eyes widened.
Someone take this woman out of here. Please.
" I apologize for my daughter's behavior. I'm deeply ashamed of what she did. " Karen sighed looking at her feet.
Seth rushed to her side and pulled her into a comforting hug. The woman immediately sobbed into his chest, Seth rubbed her back up and down while I stood here narrowing my eyes at her.
I needed to remind myself to never left my son alone with this woman, family friend or not. I didn't care I just couldn't seem to trust her, not when her daughter wanted me dead.
Nicholas's cries snapped me back out of my thought, I rushed toward my baby and cradled him into my arms. His chubby cheeks were red and eyes teary but seemed to stop crying when he saw my face. This adorable acts brought a smile to my face taking all the negativities away from my head.
" He must be hungry. Are you breastfeeding or giving him formula? " Gianna asked still cooing at her grandson.
" Breastfeeding for three months then we're giving him formula. I'm not going to share my wife with him. " Seth said shaking his head.

Everyone in the room boomed into a fit of laughters, I stared at him unimpressed, little Nicholas seemed to disagree with his father because he let out another cries making Seth shut up.
————————
I cradled my son in one arm as we all sat down for a family lunch eating and laughing. I looked at the scenery before my eyes with a grin on my face.
Seth glaring daggers at Sebastian and Brandon as usual while they messed around teasing my poor husband. Victoria gossiping about random things with Gianna, Steven eating his food with a smile on his face watching over his family at the head of the table.
This feeling was out of this world, happiness booming in my veins and my whole body. This was what I had wished for, just a normal family sitting together around the table having meals and just enjoying each other's presence.
I had a family now, Daddy. Thank you for always watching over me from up there.
I thought looking out at the blue sky through the huge glass windows.
" Let me hold him for you while you eat your food. " Karen said walking up to me with a smile on her face.
Not a heartwarming smile but a kind of smile that sent shivers down my spines. I hesitated looking between her and my son.
" I will manage. Thank you. " I said politely.
" I understand your motherly instinct, I acted just like you with Seth when he was born I didn't want him out of my arms but right now you need to rest and enjoy this lunch. Let her hold him while you eat my dear. " Gianna said smiling at me.
" But-
" You can trust her. Karen and I had been best friend since I married into this family. She's basically family too. " she continued making me sighed.
How could I trust the woman who gave birth to Kaitlyn Garcia. And, to make it all worse I killed her daughter.
" If she tried anything, she won't make it out of here alive. " Seth whispered beside me noticing my discomfort.
I gave him a small smile before nodding my head.
Karen's face bright up like summer sun radiant its heat the moment Nicholas was in her arms, cradling him a bit too tightly into her chest.
My sleeping son woke up soon after crying liked someone had bitten off his finger. His face turned red in a matter of second kicking and throwing his arm up as if he was trying to get off her.
I was about to reach out for him but stood in shock mid action, stopped dead in my trance. Time freeze the chatters in the dining room died down, the world had stopped, everything was in slow motion.
We watched as Karen pulled out a glistening silver knife out of her waistband and put it directly over my son's heart, stepping away from us with a wicked smile on her face.
" You think I will let all of you live happily after you killed my daughter in cold blood? " she snapped putting the knife closer to Nicholas's chest.
A strong arm snaked around my waist tightly pulling me closer to his tense body looking for some sort of strength.
" Your daughter deserved the faith we gave her. Let my grandson go. Now. " Steven growled his fists curled into a ball.
No word came out of my mouth as tears poured down my face liked waterfall, my heart breaking while my breath hitched in my lungs.
" Kill me. Take me. Let him go. I killed her, Nicholas knows nothing. He's a child. " I cried out trying to reach my son.
" Kill you? That's like giving you a free pass. I want you to feel the pain of losing a child. How hurt it feels like when you heard that your daughter was killed by the family she sacrificed everything for. " Karen snapped tears poured down her own eyes.
" If you come closer, he will die. " she snapped her head toward Dean and Noel making them stopped dead in their trance.
" Now, say goodbye to your son. " she smirked wickedly before raising the knife up ready to stab my child.

It was a curious thing, the death of love ones. We all knew our time in this world was limited. And yet it was always a surprise when it happened to someone we held close to our heart.
I went through the grief of losing a love ones once, that was more than a decade ago. It was like a bullet shot through my heart making a permanent hole creating a sharp pain that never left.
Although this time was completely different. My whole world had completely stopped, I was here but not existing, I felt rather empty, my thoughts wandered on, I wasn't crying, I wasn't sad, I was nothing.
Replaying the moments from the last three days I wondered what had gone wrong.
But, at the end life went on. Grief was like the ocean, it came on waves crashing and flowing, sometime the water was calm sometime it was overwhelming and all we could do was learn how to swim.
I chose this life so I had to be strong. I would live through everything that came my way.
