《The Alpha Broke the Omega》heartbeat

Hazel had been telling me about her own pack and how she missed some of her friends there, but I guess she wanted to stay away from her mate more than being with her peers. During these past two days, she has been keeping me busy and entertained.
Hazel was a breath of fresh air. She has been the bubbliest and most cheerful person that I have ever known.
With all the anxiousness going on around, her happy personality shone through.
Ian seemed to be the only disapproving of her being here since he said A) she was stealing my time with him and B) Alpha Archer was annoying him.
Apparently, the Alpha of the western pack was going to head up north to get Hazel back. I was not sure if I should mention it to Hazel or not since she might try to run away again, but I gave in. I informed her that her mate was on his way to Panselinos.
I expected her to get angry or something, but to my surprise she just stilled again and looked at me for a bit. She did that a lot and at moments where she just stops and looks at you, I don't really know what she's thinking about.
Instead, she just shrugged.
We were currently on our way to visit Dana at Ian's family house. We were giggling when we knocked on the door and I heard Dana coming quickly.
The lady opened the door and her face brightened. She quickly came to me for a hug. When she saw, Hazel she did the same.
"Is this Lillium Lunata's Luna? Oh, very lovely to meet you." Dana greeted as she pulled away and motioned us to go inside.
I could already smell all the food that she prepared, I could also already smell the banana chocolate chip cake that was baking in the oven.
Ouh, those seem so good. I can't wait to eat.
"I hope I'm not too much of a bother, my name is Hazel." the third warrior introduced herself like the lady that she was.
"You are Alpha Joe and Luna Ellie's daughter right? They are very lovely people, I miss chatting with your mother, I hope you do send my regards." Dana said. We made our way to the kitchen and all the food that were there were practically seducing me to eat them.

"Oh! You know my parents! Yes, don't worry I'll make sure my mother hears of you." Hazel says.
All of a sudden, Dana turned to me. Her face scrunched and she looked at me suspiciously.
I saw her trying to smell something. Is there an intruder? No, that doesn't seem to be it because she was looking at me so intently.
Hazel and I started exchanging weird looks to each other. My heart sped up, what is it?
"Uh... is something wrong?" I ask Dana, but she immediately put her hand up, shushing me. I was starting to get nervous.
The barrier has not been breached, I don't sense any dangers, so what is it?
Dana came to and held my arm up. "Hannah, you... why do I hear two heartbeats from you?" she asks as she placed her two fingers on my pulse.
My eyes widened, trying to understand what she was saying.
I listened closely, I shut my eyes and concentrated on my hearing.
When I heard what Dana heard, my eyes widened even more and my jaw dropped. I put my hands over my mouth, covering my shock.
"Hannah! You're pregnant!" Dana joyfully said and hugged me.
I was still very shocked and all I could do was stand still and tried to slowly hug Dana back.
M-me?
With child?
I swallowed hard.
I was happy, so very happy that I felt my eyes tearing up.
I'm going to have a child?
The tears started dropping. I couldn't contain my happiness and I hugged Dana back.
"I'm going to be a grandma!" Dana said happily to Hazel who was watching us with a big smile on her face.
"Congratulations! That's a very great news." she said and turned to me. "I heard the heartbeat when I first arrived, I thought you had already known, congratulations Chári." Hazel said.
I was still very shocked and so very joyful.
"That's why I've been feeling so sick lately." I say in realization.
"We have to tell Ian now!" Dana said. I smiled at her and was going to mindlink Ian to head over as soon as possible but then I remembered.
Dynami...
If Ian knew of my pregnancy, he would never let me travel down south. But I had to see Dynami. Now that Hazel is here too, we needed to start having some game plan to get rid of the Strays and the person behind it all.

My smile dropped as I felt the disappointment and the conflict.
I wanted to tell Ian the great news. I'm sure he would be very happy too.
I held Dana's hand and looked into her eyes.
"N-no. C-can you keep this a secret from him first? I will tell him when the time comes, please?" I ask Dana sincerely.
Her smile disappeared, she was obviously questioning why, but then she held my hands again and rubbed it comfortingly.
"No worries, my dear. Anything for you, but you can't blame me if I slip." she says sweetly.
I laugh and shake my head.
☾
I felt like I was walking on eggshells when Ian came over and hugged me.
I knew he wouldn't be able to notice the growing life inside of me right away since Dana and Hazel explained to me that usually, Lunas are the first to notice such things.
Dana has been a previous Luna while Hazel has been a Luna for around a year now so she had experience also and she noticed it. Not to mention, she had the sharpest senses out of all of the warriors.
"How was dinner?" Ian asked as he took his shirt off to change to new one.
I closed the book that I was reading and smiled towards him.
"F-fine." I answered simply and forced myself to keep the smile up.
I hope he doesn't notice.
I need to meet Maddie first.
Ian's face crumpled up as if questioning something.
"Did something go wrong?" he asked.
I got flustered and started shaking my head along with my arms right away. "N-n-no! What would ever go wrong? Everything's fine, stop worrying!" I was almost panting by the time I finished talking because I talked too fast.
With that, Ian got even more curious. He raised his eyebrow and stared at me weirdly, clearly he didn't believe me.
He walked over to me, but I was quick to push myself further at the headrest of the bed so he would't hear the still heartbeat in my belly.
"S-sorry. I just have a small headache, but I'm fine." I quickly say in defense.
To my surprise, Ian put his forehead against mine, probably feeling my temperature.
"Is that so. Well, get some rest now. Tomorrow will be a long day. Archer and his Gamma are going to be staying for two days. We can start meeting with them about the one behind the Strays. We have a few leads." Ian said.
I nodded.
"I'm a bit worried about Hazel, it seems they had a pretty big fight for a Luna to actually leave her pack." I took the brush by my bedside and started combing my long hair.
I found the strange grey strands weird, but I had no other choice.
Come to think of it, how come Hazel's hair doesn't change when she is in her warrior state?
Ian chuckled lightly and shook his head lightly.
"Archer found his match is all I can say, but wait." Ian turned to me.
My heart started pounding, I was starting to get nervous. Oh no, did he notice? Did he hear?
I'm doomed. I have to find another way to convince him now.
"Wh-what is it?" I ask, swallowing hard the next.
And then Ian's lips tugged into a wide smile as if he had just won a lottery.
Oh gosh, of course he's happy, he's going to be a dad.
But then he won't let me--
"Since Archer will be taking Hazel back, you can spend more time with me again." he smiled.
The nervousness went away, the fear dissipated.
Now, all that was left was the butterflies in the pit of my stomach and the familiar shock of the sparks. His words were enough to make me feel them, damn.
My heart fluttered.
"You smooth talker, get some sleep." was all I said before lying down the bed and turning against him so he wouldn't hear the tiny heartbeat that were music to my ears.
