Luca ran his fingers through his hair as he came back down the stairs. His intimate moment with Sophia evaporated the moment he found his beaming mother standing at the door. As much as he loves his mother, he really wished she would have called first.
"Where's my nephew?!"
Luca's head whipping to the door to find his beaming aunt standing there with her arms on her hips. He releases a deep breath chuckling lowly before taking the final steps down the stairs while his aunt walks to him with open arms. She engulfs him in one of her bone crushing hugs as she hums happily. He can't help but smile at this woman.
Once she had her fill, she releases him to turn walking into the living room. Luca's eyes turning to find his mother standing there with a gentle smile. Her eyes holding pure love as they look to him. His earlier irritation melted away just by that simple look. His mother had always been able to make him feel more than he cared to at times but it just naturally occurred. He walks into the living room giving his mother a warm hug which she equally returns.
"My word lil man, that trip did you good."
He pulls back giving his mother a smirk, "No... Sophia did."
His mother's smile widening at his omission. Cami coming over to lock arms with her as they look to him in awe. He rolls his eyes and turns trying to hide the pink creeping up his neck. His eyes catching sight of Sophia peaking down the stairs. He leaves the women walking to his love taking her hand gently pulling her into the living room.
"Tesoro, I believe you remember-"
"THERE'S MY GIRL!"
Cami jumps to her pulling her into a hug the fair beauty was not expecting. A humph leaving Sophia from the sudden impact as Luca and Heather just shake their heads at her antics. Sophia relaxes after a second giving out a small giggle and hugging the woman back. Cami releases her just to hold her by the shoulders to look at her.
"You are looking beautiful!"
Sophia blushes turning to glance at Luca who just rolls his eyes at his aunt. Heather gently nudges her best friend to the side before opening her arms to the red head beauty. Sophia gives a soft smile walking into the welcoming embrace. Luca watching on as his mother holds his love with just as much care as she does him. The sight warming his heart.
Heather releases the girl looking at her with joy before looking to her son. He has grown so much because of Sophia and she was so happy. He was smiling, and not just the small smile reserved for her but a genuine big smile. Sophia seeing Heather's eyes well up turns to Luca who just gives her a smile holding out his hand for her. She takes it stepping back beside him.
"Luca, did you call Sophia Tesoro?" Cami says with an eye brow raised and an amused smile on her lips. Luca nods his head at her glancing to Sophia. Her eyes finding his before he leans forward kissing her forehead. "Man, I haven't heard that nickname in a while..."

Sophia's eyebrows furrow in confusion as Heather smirks at Luca before her gaze turns to Sophia. "My father uses the term of endearment for my mother. She was part of an Italian family."
Sophia nods looking up to him, "That's where you got it from."
Luca grins recalling the visits his grandparents on the his mother side. He remembers growing up watching how intimate they always were and how the nickname would make his grandmother swoon. He thought it fit Sophia perfectly and the term slipped before he even realized it. He doesn't regret it, he may not speak to much Italian but the term was an important one in his family and he would never forget it.
"You are my tesoro," his voice soft making his aunt squeal but Luca doesn't turn away from Sophia. His beauty turning a shade redder from the intensity of his words.
"God you two are adorable! Now I want to hear all about Thailand!!"
Sophia turns to Cami who is already dragging Heather over to the couch to sit down. Luca's arm slowly gliding behind her back before resting on her hip as her side connects with his. He guides her to the loveseat before lifting her up placing her on his lap earning a yelp from her. The two women looking on amused as she turns fire engine red trying to wiggle out of his lap.
"Luca.." Sophia pleads lowly looking back to him.
Luca just shakes his head negatively making her huff and cross her arms childishly. Cami laughs while Heather just grins amused at them. Cami was right, they are adorable. Luca soothes her by rubbing his free hand up and down her back. Sophia sighs releasing the tension and her sour mood.
"How was the light festival?" Heather asks.
"It was incredible mom, I had never seen anything like it and we were right in the center of it. The whole experience was... well amazing."
Heather turns to Sophia who is looking at her son with such tender eyes. Feeling eyes on her, Sophia snaps her attention back to find Heather already looking at her. "I have some good photos if you guys would like to see."
"Good? Love, they were perfect."
She blushes while Luca releases her so she could stand. She leaves the room walking back to their room to gather her laptop. Luca's eyes watching her every move until she is out of sight. His eyes finally turning to his mother and aunt who are grinning wildly at him. He clears his throat trying to not blush yet again.
"I am happy for you son."
"Me too!" Cami pipes in giving her head a nod of approval.
"Lil' man, did you umm..." Heather glances over her shoulder making sure Sophia isn't entering before turning back. Luca shakes his head negatively. "Why? I want grandbabies.."
Luca coughs abruptly as Cami breaks out laughing while his mother playfully pouts. After working through his coughing fit, he looks at his mother like she has grown two heads. "Don't give me that look... I'm not getting any younger."

"Mom, it's too soon for that." Luca shakes his head glancing over her shoulder.
Sophia walks back into the room with one hand holding the laptop and the other using the mousepad bringing up the photos. She hands the laptop over to Heather completely unaware of what just transpired. Cami leans closer as the two women sift through the many photos. Luca holding his hand up again which Sophia takes as he tugs her to sit back down. His arms instantly coiling around her hugging her to his frame. Her own arms encircling his neck.
"Who's this?"
They turn the laptop around showing the picture to the couple. "That was our tour guide, Maylee. She was so sweet and beautiful."
The girls turn the laptop back around once again divulging in the photos. Sophia places her lips close to Luca's ear. "I need to go visit Jessica."
"Now?" Luca asks back lowly. Sophia nods her head at him and he nods in understanding before pecking her lips gently. He releases her as she stands.
"Heather, Cami... I'm sorry to be rude but I have to take off to visit my sister and niece."
Sophia passes the computer to Cami before standing to give a farewell hug to the young enchantress. Luca raises a brow as he watches his mother whisper something low into his love's ear. She nods in return before leaving her turning around to give him a breath taking smile making his heart skip a beat. She winks before making an exit of their home. He sits back down with his own smile etched on his face. The sight not going unnoticed by his mother.
"I thought you wanted to ask her while on the trip?"
"I did... but I-" he sighs dropping his head into his hands. "I couldn't do it."
"Luca..." his mother's voice amused.
"What if she says no mom?" Luca says lifting his head to meet his mother's eyes.
"She loves you Luca... she won't say no." Heather knows that Sophia wouldn't deny Luca. It is clear as day when they are together. She was highly amused at how nervous her son was about this.
"I don't want to scare her off mom.." His tone sounding like an unsure boy rather than the man before her.
"You won't son... Trust me."
Luca nods his head slightly believing his mother. Feeling satisfied with his response she turns back to find Cami staring at the screen not moving. Her eyes holding tears making Heather look at her concerned. "Cam?"
Cami couldn't say anything but turned the computer slightly to Heather. She looks closely at the photo before her eyes soften realizing what it is. "Cami..."
Luca looks on to the exchange confused. Cami looks like she is about to cry which is not something he normally sees her do. Her hands shakily place the computer down on the table before she silently gets up walking out of the room towards a restroom. Luca stands up ready to question her but his mother raises a hand shaking it negatively to him. Both of them watching as she leaves the room in silence. Once gone, Luca turns back to his mother for answers.
"This photo-" she turns around the laptop showing one of the pictures of a landmark Sophia took. "is in the same area where her father sent her his last letter before he passed. She recognized the building."
Luca's heart clenching at the new found information. Cami talks very little about her family and he knew it was hard for her. All the men in her family were military raised. Her father traveled to different countries with her when she was young but he passed before Luca ever met Cami. He does not know the circumstances and doesn't want to pry into his aunt's life.
"It's alright sweetie, she just needs a minute." Luca sits back down looking at the photo.
"Mom will you tell me what happened?"
Heather sighs resting back on the couch looking at her grown son. "Cami's father was a marine as you probably remember. He had toured right and left as she was growing up moving himself up in the ranks. He was a Staff Sergeant when he passed-"
"Was it a military mission?"
Heather shakes her head sadly feeling her own tears well up for her long time best friend. She glances back over her shoulder wiping away a single tear before clearing her throat. "No, he umm.. he passed away on a flight back to the States. A plane crash that not only consumed his life but 11 other passengers and 2 pilots."
Luca feels the wind get knocked out of him as he thinks of what that must have been like for his aunt. His eyes drifting to where she left. Cami was one of the strongest women he has ever met. She had went through so much including get shot for his mother but still, never did she let it faze her... that is until today.
Cami walks back in putting on a tight smile before sitting down taking the laptop back. "Sophia really is an incredible photographer Luca. I wouldn't mind buying some of these."
"Cami?" Luca says gently making her lift her gaze. He is momentarily stunned before he finally finds his voice. "I love you."
Cami gives a reassuring smile looking back at the photos, "I know Luca. I love you too."
Heather begins talking to Cami about the photos as they scroll through them all. Luca just sitting back watching them and answering questions as the come along. His mind drifting to Sophia and wandering if she was having a pleasant visit with her family.
"Hey, is that Nicholas' bracelet?" Heather says pointing at one of the photos of Sophia and Luca together. Wrapped around her wrist is the familiar bracelet that Luca used to wear every day for such a long time.
Luca nods his head in confirmation, "Yeah... Cassidy gave it to her the day before her first treatment for strength."
"Man, that seems like a life time ago," Cami muses out loud making the other two nod their heads in confirmation. All remaining silent recollecting past events momentarily. Cami being the first to break the silence but her words making Luca's heart constrict.
"Nicholas would have loved her."
