Love you Tesoro

Sophia smiles hearing the familiar voice and wondering if she is still dreaming. Feeling a gentle touch to her forehead lets her know it isn't a dream. She reaches out touching his neck making his body still above her. She guides his neck down slightly as she tilts her head up so their lips may connect. His body unfreezes and relaxes at her gentle coaxing. Her other hand coming up to frame his neck causing a small groan to escape his lips. She smiles into the kiss pulling him further onto her.

"Soph-"

"Please Luca" She whispers still against his lips knowing he won't deny her.

He huffs for a moment before shuffling to climb into the small bed with her. Both adjusting to each other before Luca ends up with one arm behind her head and the other around her waist. Sophia curled into his side sighing in content. His lips laying gentle kisses to her forehead continuously.

"Our big brother is in love!"

Startled, Sophia's eyes snap open as her head turns to find the twins sitting on the couch next to the window with wide eyes. All that's missing is a bag of popcorn in their hands to make it look comical.

"Hush you two!"

Sophia looks behind Luca to find his mother walking to her empty side of the bed before leaning over to kiss her temple. "It's good to see you Sophia."

"Thank you Heather." She says gently turning back into Luca hearing a faint aww sound followed by a smack.

"Ouch mom!" Sophia couldn't help but chuckle hearing the boy's yelp and feel Luca's chest rumble as well.

"Stop teasing your brother."

Sophia looks up to find Luca looking down at her with a gentle smile and his eyes warm. He leaned down to peck her nose making her scrunch it slightly. Laughter from her side makes her attention turn to them. Heather is sitting on the side with her hand resting on the back of the couch. Her son sitting by her side followed by his twin.

"Now do you to care to tell me why you came here before greeting Cami or mom?" Luca asks looking towards the twins.

They both gave each other a look before turning back to Luca answering in unison. "We wanted to meet her."

Sophia gave a small smile feeling heat rush up her cheeks. Her already white skin ghostly making the blush prominent. She recalls walking in a few hours ago with Brad to find them. After they introduced themselves, Brad turned white and audibly gulped. He looked scared shitless for talking to members of the Sanford family like he did. They brushed it off though and he made a dash out the door leaving her with wide eyes.

Junior offered to help her into the bed which she blushed at. She shook her head and in stead walked slowly to the bed. CJ by her side with her arms ready to catch her if need be. The woman then helped her get comfortable as Sophia gave a small thank you. Junior went for her tray of food making his sister chuck a cup at him. Sophia couldn't help but giggle at them. They asked her some general questions about herself while CJ couldn't get over her green eyes. She began feeling drowsy and they noticed. She remembered them telling her they were going to find some food and then return. She fell asleep shortly after.

"Did the scare you love?"

Sophia shook her head negatively glancing at the twins. Both looking at her with gentle smiles. CJ gets up walking over to sit at the foot of the bed placing a hand on her blanketed leg. "I think you found a good one brother."

"That's what we all said," Heather chimes in winking at Sophia. She looked down with a small smile as her face continues to turn red. Luca leans over kissing the top of her head again.

Knock Knock

They all look to the door as it slides open and her doctor walks in. He stops momentarily not aware of the audience in the room before straightening up and walking over to the foot of the bed looking at Sophia.

"So everything looks good Ms. Andrews. You blood work and scans have come back showing the transplant is working accordingly."

Sophia sighs dropping her head back feeling relief flood through her. Her eyes welling up in pure happiness before she brings her hands up to cover her teary eyes. Luca pulls her into him wrapping her in his arms giving her a hug. She clutches the back of his shirt and cries happily into his neck for a moment.

"You are ready to be released. I expect you to continue your recovery slowly. You should not be doing any heavy lifting for the next few weeks. I will see you back here in a month to confirm you white cell count is holding strong. If you notice any prior symptoms, come back in immediately."

"Thank you" she says still hiding in Luca's grasp. She can hear him faintly thanking the doctor as well followed by receding footsteps.

"I'll take the twins with me and hope to see you guys in the next day or so at the house for dinner."

Sophia calms down enough to turn to Heather who is standing at her side. She leans down kissing her cheek affectionately. The twins come up next with CJ giving her a hug congratulating her. Junior then tries to lean down to kiss her cheek but is pushed back by Luca making Sophia gasp. Junior just laughs straightening back up and winking playfully at her. He then proceeds to run out of the room as Luca attempts to get up from the bed. She tugs him back down making him sit beside her glaring at the now closed door.

"Luca" She says gently. His head snaps to her and his eyes soften. Sophia's eyes are sparkling and she has a wide smile. "I'm cured."

He smiles widely with her before hugging her tightly feeling her joy equally if not more. He couldn't believe how terrified he was of what all could have went wrong and the image of her passed out still fresh in his mind but he wants to replace it with this image. The sight of her with hope in her eyes and a beautiful smile gracing her lips.

"You still will need to heal but I am so happy love."

"It's over.." She whispers pulling back looking at him directly.

"It's over," he repeats gently.

Luca helps her into the bathroom giving her a bag that Cassidy had left for her during one of her visits. He tells her he will wait right outside. After a few minutes, the door gently opens and Sophia emerges slowly walking to the bed. Luca doesn't hesitate lifting her bridal style in his arms. She laughs happily wrapping her arms around his neck. The nurse walks in with the discharge papers and a prescription that needs to be filled. She took the documents and left congratulating Sophia.

Luca doesn't bother with the protocol of a wheelchair and picks her up once again walking her out proudly. The staff all looking at the couple with a small amused smile as Sophia hides her face in his chest. He gets on the elevator along with some other people who glance and chuckle at the pair. Sophia slaps his chest as they exit the elevator heading outside. The weather is warm and making Sophia feel good. She inhales deeply leaning her head back allowing her face to bask in the sun.

"You enjoy yourself there?"

"Today is nearly perfect."

"Nearly?" He asks raising a brow that she can't see as her eyes are still closed with a smile on her lips.

"Yep" she pops the 'p' not further explaining.

He pushes the button to unlock his car door before opening the door and gently inserting her in. He is quick to jog around the car and get in his side. She has already buckled herself as he does his own before starting the car. His hand going over the console and laying on her lap. Her hand interlacing with his fingers as she squeezes his hand. He smiles and pulls out of the parking spot with ease before taking off down the road. The radio gently playing in the background.

"Hey Luca?" He hums in reply. "Didn't you have a few meetings today? You weren't supposed to be here until 5 or 6."

He chuckles amused that she still remembers his schedule even though she hadn't been there for a week or so. He nods his head, "Yeah but when I learned the twins were here, I was... concerned."

Sophia looks to him with furrowed brows. "Concerned about what?"

He drops his head momentarily before straightening himself back out. "They can be... a lot. I was worried they would scare you off."

She squeezes his hand making him glance at her. She leans over the console kissing his cheek leaving her lips their to linger momentarily. "I'm not going anywhere."

He smiles and can feel his own blush creeping up his neck thankful Sophia doesn't say anything about it. She rest her head against her shoulder as he zooms through traffic. Sophia snaps up startling Luca to look at her.

"Can we go somewhere?"

Luca nods his head and Sophia gives instructions to the destination. They pull up and Luca smiles looking at the sign as they climb out together. It's about 3 o'clock now and the sun is still out. Sophia walks slowly to Luca who goes to pick her up but a hand shoots out holding it up telling him not to. He relents and instead wraps his arm around her waist helping her stay balanced as she walks to the door. They walk in and the sounds of laughter, chatter, and some cries are heard. A woman walks up to them.

"Hello, welcome to Sunnyside Daycare. How can I help you?"

"Hi, I am here to see my niece, Destiny Andrews?"

"Alright, let me check to make sure you are on the approved list. May I see some ID?"

Sophia nods and reaches for her purse but Luca takes it helping her get it out and handing it to the woman. The woman makes a photocopy of it before looking at Destiny's paperwork to find Sophia on the list. The woman then smiles directing them down the hall to a room to the right. They fall slowly as Sophia grips Luca's arm around her waist. They walk in and see a few bassinets around the room along with two women. The first women walking over speaking to the other ladies before gesturing for the pair to join her.

"Ms. Andrews, this is Hallie and Georgia."

The woman wave before they walk over to a bassinet where Sophia can see her niece laying asleep curled in a blanket. She teeters over to her before leaning down kissing her forehead.

"Thank you Angel."

Luca proceeds to follow in suite kissing the young baby's forehead. "You saved my love. Thank you Angel."

They stay for a few minutes before leaving. Sophia feeling tired yet again. She doesn't even notice when she dozed off but was awaken to Luca lifting her from the car yet again. "Luca, I can-"

"You're tired, sleep Sophia. I will be here when you wake."

She sighed giving in and curling her body closer to him as the darkness enveloped her. Luca took his time walking to their home enjoying the way her body fit against his own. His phone begins to ring in his pants but he doesn't bother with it. He gets inside their home and carries her upstairs to their room before depositing her gently onto the bed lying a gentle blanket over her. She immediately turns baring her face into his pillow taking a deep inhale. He smirks watching her but his phone buzzes again and he takes it out finding Jessica's name lighting up his screen. He glances once more at his sleeping beauty before stepping out of the room.

"Luca?"

"Is everything okay Jessica?"

"I'm sorry to bother you. Taylor told me you left abruptly for the hospital. Is everything okay?"

"I didn't mean to alarm you. Everything is fine. Sophia has been released and is currently sleeping in our room."

Jessica pauses for a moment before she answers in a wobbly tone, "She's cured?"

"Yes Jessica, your daughter saved her."
