It's been a month since Sophia has started her chemo therapy. She has had two appts so far and as promised, Luca had been there for both. She was warmed by his sincerity of always being present with her. By this point everyone who needed to know about her condition had been made aware. Mark was a mess when Sophia told him why she had been gone. In truth, everyone showed her much love during this time making her feel loved.

Today was Sunday and she promised Luca's mother Heather that she would come for dinner tonight. Jessica had also said that she had some news to give to her but wanted to take her out for lunch to announce it. Sophia was curious about what could possibly have made her sister begin to smile. The elder sister had returned to her work last week and Sophia as requested by Luca had become his personal assistant.

So here she was looking at herself in the mirror brushing her hair while looking at the face looking back. She could tell minor changes have began to occur. The chemo made her already pale complexion begin turning ghostly white. Laying down the brush, her heart grew heavy finding the brush with more than an abundance of hair on it. It was to be expected but it didn't make it any easier. The first time she cried for several days not wanting to loose her hair.

Sighing loudly she stopped messing with it and went to get a nice dress on. The weather was warmer today and she wanted to enjoy it while she could. Deciding to wear flats with the dress, she takes one more glance in the mirror before making her way out of the room. Her sister was already near the door securing little Destiny into her car seat. Sophia couldn't get over how quickly her sister's natural curvy form returned.

"You ready?"

She nods her head and goes to open the door allowing her sister to carry her out.

"Jess, I got her love."

Sophia grins hearing Brad's voice as she turns. He jogs to her taking the car seat out of Brad's hands. She leans over kissing his cheek before he turns to walk towards her car. Sophia can't help but giggle softly watching them. Brad has been around constantly acting more and more like a husband and dad. Sophia hasn't said a word completely aware that Jessica doesn't even realize it. Taylor even said that they should just 'shack up'. Brad is completely enamored by Destiny and he has already said on numerous occasions that he loves Jessica.

"Brad, what are you doing here?" Sophia asks as they walk to the car.

"Didn't Jess tell you?" He says looking over his shoulder while fastening the car seat in.

Sophia turns to her sister expectantly. "I invited him, and Taylor for lunch too."

She nods not sure what is going on but her sister is chirpy and does not want to ruin the good mood. She climbs into the back by Destiny looking at the beautiful girl while Brad takes the passenger seat. Jessica starts up a conversation with Brad and Sophia zones out as the pair continue laughing about something or another.

She thought about the last few months and the impact Luca has had on her heart. Luca. Just his name makes a gentle smile come to her lips. He has been more than caring to her. After her first appointment, he brought her back home and stayed until she later awoken to find him making her a simple dinner. Her insides melting watching as he moved with grace throughout the kitchen. She can cook but a man that can cook... that was just sexy.

Last week, they had stayed at his condo for the weekend. It was a comfy weekend with them snuggling up together on the couch or in the comfort of his bed. They had spoke of stories of the past and wishes for the future. Luca had mentioned that maybe he could help her find her biological parents to help with bone marrow search but she has not and still does not want to know them. It was their choice for what ever the reason to leave her in the orphanage. She had no reason to bring them back into her life. Luca stressed that they could be a match for her. She was adamant that she wanted nothing to do with them.

Luca told her that he wanted to take her around the world. To see the world through her eyes and to just enjoy an adventure with her by his side. She could feel herself fall even more for the man listening to him list some of the places. He always wanted to see the northern lights in person. They made a deal that it would be the first place they go once Sophia is ready. The weekend ended with a bombshell from Luca.

Walking out hand in hand. Sophia can't help but sigh in content leaning her head onto his shoulder. His lips descending to the top of her head in a gentle manner before they reach the elevator. They get on in silence making Sophia look up to him. His eyes are set forward looking at the double doors.

"Sophia, do you like coming here?"

She tilts her head wondering where this is coming from. "Of course I do. Your home has become a safe haven for me."

He nods his head squeezing her hand. She wants to ask why but he seems to be having an inner debate and decides to drop the questions. The elevator dings and they walk out go to his car. He opens the door for her as he always does. Giving a small thank you she slides in followed by him going to the driver side. He reaches for his keys but pauses.

"Luca, is everything okay?"

She questions in the silence of the car. He drops his hand and leans back in his seat. The silence enveloping them for a few moments. Sophia keeps her eyes on him but he seems to be in another world. She reaches over taking his hand into her own. His eyes snapping to her as he seeks for an answer to question she does not know.

"Luca-"

"Move in with me." Her mouth opens slightly of it's own accord. She was not expecting that. He squeezes her hand looking directly into her eyes.

"Luca, where is this coming from?"

"The house feels so empty when you are not there. I love the nights we spend here together and how you make the whole place seem alive. I love watching as you dance while brushing your teeth. I love the fact that you sing while preparing food without even thinking about it. I just... I want to come home to this everyday."

She blushes hearing him speak of her singing and dancing but more than anything, she can here the sincerity behind his words. Her heart practically beating out of her chest. She leans her face closer looking deeply into his eyes as she cups his cheek with her free hand.

"Are you sure?"

Her words gently spoken showing her fear. He only grins in return before smashing his lips to hers. She instantly melts against him allowing his love to overcome any insecurities she feels. After a very long passionate kiss, he pulls back just enough for his eyes to pierce hers.

"Absolutely"

"Sis, you okay?"

She blinks looking around to realize they are already parked and Brad is getting the car seat out of the car. Sophia nods stepping out as well. Jessica gives her a raised brow at her quietness. Sophia only smiles in return while reaching to link her arm through her sisters. She still hasn't told her yet about her moving in with Luca. Worried that her sister would feel alone once again.

"Let's go ladies"

They chuckle while Brad beams carrying Destiny securely in his arms. They walk into the restaurant and find Taylor already seated at a large round table. She stood up instantly engulfing Sophia in a big hug before they all sat down. The waiter coming by to get the drinks for everyone before taking their orders. He leaves and Jessica cleared her throat loudly making all turn to her. Her eyes locking onto her sister before she begins.

"As we are all aware, my sister is now battling Leukemia for her second go around. The doctors having been searching for a match to do a bone marrow transplant since she started her treatment... I received news yesterday." Everyone holds their breath as she continues. "I decided to get tested and found out that I wasn't a match."

Sophia deflates at her words but Jessica's smile is still intact. Taylor notices the creepy smile as well. "Jess, why are you smiling? That's not good news."

"BECAUSE... she has a match."

Sophia feels her throat close up. Her hand going to her mouth from shock as her eyes begin to swell up with tears. She can't believe her ears, they found a match. Her brows furrow in confusion, "Jess, you said you weren't a match."

"I'm not... but your niece is."

Sophia looks to the beauty next to her asleep in the car seat. She can feel her hands tremble looking from Destiny back to Jess. Her sister nods in confirmation as Brad and Taylor begin making very loud cheers. Jessica stands walking to her sister before engulfing her as Sophia crumbles. Her head not being able to comprehend that her god daughter has saved her.

"Is i-it safe for her Jess?" Sophia stumbles over her words still clinging to her.

Jessica pulls back to hold her shoulders nodding her head. "It's perfectly safe."

Brad and Taylor jump on her making a group hug squeezing the life out of her. She couldn't help but cry while smiling ear to ear in complete joy. She is going to live. Jessica reaches down bringing the sleeping beauty out of her seat. The little princess opens her eyes looking to her aunt. Sophia doesn't hesitate taking her into her arms. The baby being pressed to her chest as she thanks the heavens above. Jessica looking on the pair with utter joy in her eyes.

They spend the rest of lunch in much celebration when Sophia finally decides to bring up the hard conversation when they reach home. Brad had left a few minutes ago and now they were just sitting on the couch with Destiny fast asleep in the playpen. Jessica sitting right next to her still smiling ear to ear.

"Jess... I have something I need to discuss with you."

Jess turns her smile to her sister. "What's up?"

"I... I uhm.." She clears her throat trying to gain the courage to spit it out. "I'm moving in with Luca."

She squeezes her eyes shut waiting to hear her sister yell. A moment passes before she opens her eyes finding her sister already looking at her with a smirk on her lips. She relaxes looking to her with furrowed brows.

"Bout damn time."

Sophia's jaw slacks as Jessica only laughs in return. "WHAT?!"

"Mr. Sanfo-Luca... Luca wanted you to move after the first scare. He told me he wanted you to be close. He was joking but his eyes said otherwise."

"Wait, wait- you're okay with this." Sophia looks completely baffled by her sister's reaction.

Jessica smiles gently reaching over for her sisters hand. The red head still in shock by her sister's reaction. The elder just sighs, "Sophia... you are grown up and it's your life. That man is crazy about you and hasn't shown any sign of slowing down. As long as he makes you happy, I'm happy."

Jessica wasn't expecting her sister throwing her arms around her and hugging her with all her strength. She squeezes back in return showing her support to her sister and her boss. It isn't conventional but who cares. He is in love with her and more importantly, she loves him. Jessica is just happy her sister is getting her fairytale prince.

Sophia pulls back looking at her sister deeply. "Jessica, thank you."

Jessica shakes her head, "It's nothing."

"No..." Jessica looks to her emerald eyes with a questionable look. "Thank you for everything. Thank you for accepting me as your sister. Thank you for coming home when you could have stayed at college. Thank you for giving me a chance at life and now... Now you once again you saved me."

Jessica feels her eyes glistening at her sister's words. "I didn't save you Soph... Destiny is."

"I would not be here today if not for you Jess. You are my family and I'm so incredibly grateful for the gift that is you."

"Soph" is all she can say feeling so emotional.

Sophia hugs her again and both sisters hold each other with the sense of peace. They may no longer have their parents but they had each other and it was enough.
